Then proceeded to pre-clean all the vents with a HEPA Festool. They realized that one of the ducts was disconnected and even crawled under the house to reattach it for no extra charge! They showed us how the negative air machine works and the filter they use in the negative air machine before - and after carefully exiting with the dirty ones. Later we were able to inspect them outside! There were playing cards, a pine cone, and a massive, disgusting amount of dust/grime among other things. They uploaded a bunch of before and after pictures of the ducts along with the invoice and sent an email after they left. We are so happy we both chose to get the ducts cleaned and chose Better Air Northwest to get it done!!!

I was impressed by the process from start to finish and the noticeable difference in air quality afterward. The scheduling process was easy and transparent. I called on a Tuesday, and they were able to fit me within two weeks. The office staff clearly explained the pricing structure (which was fixed based on the size of the house, with optional add-ons like dryer vent cleaning) and sent a confirmation text the day before. The technicians, Andreas & Cody, called me 50 minutes before arrival, right arrived pretty close to the promised time. I knew there was construction down the street so I figured they would be delayed due to stopped traffic. The two arrived in a well-marked truck and was immediately professional. They took time to explain the negative pressure vacuum system they use, which involved hooking up a large hose to the main duct trunk near the furnace. They wore boot covers inside the house, which I appreciated. The cleaning itself involved systematically sealing off all registers and then using powerful air whips into each vent to agitate and loosen all the debris. They showed me the incredible amount of dirt, dust, and junk they removed from the main trunk--it was genuinely shocking and visually compelling. When finished with the vents they took on the dryer. The lint cleaned out of the vent and the filter was surprising. I expect the drying cycles will be quicker with a clean system. The entire process took approximately 5 hours. Once finished, they sealed up the access holes they created cleanly. There were only two rooms where they forgot to move furniture back in place. The immediate difference was significant: the air in the house feels fresher and less "stuffy," and the HVAC system runs noticeably quieter. I am confident that the removal of years of dust and allergens will benefit our household, especially during allergy season. Better Air Northwest delivered exactly what they promised: professional service, clear communication, and excellent results. I highly recommend them if you are looking to improve your indoor air quality.

We chose them because of their humane way of dealing with wildlife, which was my main concern. The awesomely-super-cool Cory came out to check on our raccoon and found she was a mom with at least one baby. She had clearly been living under our house for a while, as there were multiple nests and tons of damage. Cory gave me all my options on how he can remove her and her family, while also educating me on the ways of mama raccoons. (I was amazed to learn they are very clean animals making multiple nests as needed to maintain a clean environment for themselves and their babies.) Obviously I wanted the most humane and safe way to get rid of mama and her babies. I shared all the info Cory gave me with my husband that evening and we decided how we'd proceed. However, we didn't need to have Cory remove her, because mama raccoon took it upon herself to leave our house that night, and took her baby with her. (Clearly having Cory and my heads poke down below the entry door shining a flashlight at her in the middle of the afternoon kinda spooked her - she got the hell out and took her kit with her as soon as night fell!) Once mama raccoon and family were gone, we had the awesomely-super-cool-amazing Cory come out to assess the damage - the DAMAGE was almost $3,000! Yikes! But not to fear, our awesomely cool homeowners insurance company took care of all but $450.00 - yay! On Friday, June 16th, 2017 - the day of the repairs: Oh my gaaawd! I can not say enough about these guys! 4 (maybe 5?) guys (including the awesomely cool Cory) showed up at 9:30am and went right to work. They protected every inch of my home where they needed access: entry, hallway, master bedroom, master bathroom, master closet - ALL protected against anything icky they needed to pull out of there. They were all nice, polite and considerate. They did a great job - A GREAT JOB! We now have a completely clean, repaired, non-stinky, lovely smelling crawlspace thanks to the awesomely-super-cool team of Cory, John, Tyler, Cameron. I had been wrestling with repeated, long-term respiratory illnesses. We initially thought we only had one mold spot in our crawl space from a prior bathroom leak wetting our insulation. We suspected that mold may have been contributing to my health issues. Feeling quite ill, and after researching several companies, I spotted New Leaf's owner, Jordan, on a web site ad. I was impressed that he provided his number to contact. I had remembered New Leaf from our relatives, but thought we were outside their service area. Desperate to find a trustworthy company and a solution fast, I called Jordan's number. I explained our situation and his compassionate, caring response convinced me that he was a godsend. I cannot say enough good things about New Leaf. Every experience we've had with them has been above and beyond expectation. When their crew came out to remove our 30-year-old manufactured home insulation, and found it was much, much thicker than they normally encounter and the job couldn't be completed that day, their crew went out of their way to finish the job for us on a day that was not their normal work day, just because they cared about our situation. Jordan worked with us, with great patience, to problem-solve other issues we were having with our home. My health challenges necessitated me staying with friends for several weeks. We called J&J Roofing for an estimate to get our roof replaced and Brandon was out within a few…read moredays. He was helpful, thorough and provided a couple of options for us. They were having a February special which enabled us to get $1,000 off and we jumped on that deal. With the $1,000 savings we were able to get the upgraded roof option that received fantastic reviews online. Working with Courtney at the office to get us scheduled was a breeze. She asked what color roof we wanted, and since it was difficult to make that decision just by looking a photos, Brandon came back out with a couple of color samples that day so we could see what they looked like up against our house. The J&J crew came out the following Friday morning and completed our roof in ONE DAY. Granted, our roof was probably more simplistic than some others, but we were blown away by how quickly they completed it, and they did a fantastic job. Our new roof looks wonderful! Before they started working, they covered everything that was close to the roof, and they cleaned up impeccably before they left. I was thrilled to have found a woman-owned roofing company that had such fabulous reviews on Yelp, and I'm happy to add one more. I highly recommend J&J Roofing if you need a roof replacement.

I'm not sure how this company has 5 star reviews as my experience with J&J Roofing was terrible…read more February 2026, we discovered significant mold in our attic space. Our roof was brand new when we bought it (2019) and to discover ventilation issues inside our attic was a surprise no-one wants. We reached out to multiple roofing companies and we selected J&J Roofing because they promised everything the other companies offered but for about 15% less... or so they claimed. We needed to have an entire reroof which included one layer of plywood to be removed, this is the layer that had the mold. On the quote they said it would cost more IF there were two layers but it was obvious there was only one. Plus the other 4 companies that quoted us said there was only one layer. Also, they almost left the entire layer of molded plywood on. Thankfully my husband was home to catch this serious error which defeated the whole point of why we were reroofing our house in the first place. Then to add insult they tried to charge us at the end for 2 layers. We had to dispute this and they tried to make it seem like they were doing us a favor. Ironically, another roofing company that had quoted us included photos and video which proofed we only had one layer. The quote presented was DECEIVING as when we got the actual bill (after the work was done) it was significantly more than the quote. On some line items it had the tax included, however, they made it seem taxes were included in the quote only to find out that was not that case. This is how they make it seem that they're less than competitors. Here is where the real problems begin. Day of demo the team arrives and are extremely quick about tearing our roof off. However their speed caused A LOT OF DAMAGE. When they tore off the fascia it ripped the underside of the exterior under hangs. See pics. In addition they left significant gaps from the fascia they replaced which is an invitation for bugs and small animals to get inside. An issue we didn't have before. On demo day I watched them cause this damage and although we were told we would have a project manager onsite during the reroof this was not true. The PM was 90% of the time NOT on site. In addition when he came and had the fascia boards they were a cream color. They were supposed to be white. To my face this man lied to me and said they don't come in white. I rushed and got my paint sprayer while my husband ran and got white exterior paint. We quickly got the fascia boards painted and thankfully it was a clear sunny day so it was dried in time for the crew to put up. We also noticed when the roof was off that some of the boards framing our roof were rotted. I asked a crew member as the PM wasn't there if they were going to replace them and they told me yes. Another lie. As they started putting the plywood on, my husband and I noticed the rotted wood was still there and that they "sister-boarded" a new piece of cut wood. I had to call the manager Courtney to come as at this point, my confidence in the crew was gone. They left broken screens and a bunch of nails and screws all around our property. In addition to garbage from the roof packaging. Lastly the PM never came when the work was done to identify areas that needed to be fixed. See pics. We had to call J&J to get someone out and look at all the poor workmanship their crew left. Then they tried to make it seem like it was like that before but it was obvious the damage was caused by their crew. I regret choosing J&J and do not recommend.
