No sense going to the big box furniture stores when you can buy your furniture from a local company that takes the time to listen and customize furniture to your taste and needs. Every time I asked if I could change a style, knob or finish the response is always " we can do whatever you want". The hand made "high quality" furniture is made locally and I can tell you it's the long term quality of there craftsmanship that brought me back to buy here again. Well worth the $ and if you are looking for furniture that will last your lifetime and for future generations than you've come to the right place.

From their arrogant sales manager in Concord NH, to the poorly…read morecrafted furniture to their abysmal delivery service and customer service, it is shameful to charge what they do for what they offer. It is a bunch of smoke and mirrors. I have purchased over $10,000 of furniture from Pompanoosuc. every piece was either missing key parts, which were standard items listed in their catalog, on their web site and as shown on display in their showroom. They had to repair every piece in some way, including a piece purchased two years ago where the drawers started banging into each other , because the hardware( sliders) are so cheap and the craftsmanship is poor. The delivery men pointed out to us that they could not understand why the individual pieces were so poorly made. That they had been with the company for years and encouraged us to send them back and speak with headquarters . The delivery schedule on three occasions over the past two months has been schizophrenic and rude, not even equal to bad cable company scheduling. They only deliver on Saturdays in our area, which is fine. But, I work every other weekend, so we try to be considerate of time when there is a free weekend . Pompanoosuc scheduled between 1-4p. They called at 2:30, stated they would be late arriving at 5p. At 5p, they called stated that even though they were only 15 minutes away, they were heading north an hour away for another delivery and would arrive at 9P. At 9p they called stated that they had exceeded the allotted number of hours to drive in a day and that the delivery would have to be rescheduled. This morning I received a call from Daniel with a British accent from Pompanoosuc Headquarters to reschedule for next Saturday between 12-3p. Not a word about the aforementioned . This is the third such similar experience. Having moved and delivered furniture as a full time job for 5 years, I have awareness of scheduling conflicts, delivery times and customer satisfaction. Anyone can have bad day. There are always opportunities for improvement and certainly a need for service recovery, particularly when things don't work out on multiple occasions. I am not in a position to advise Pompanoosuc how to run their business or to scrutinize their leadership in a meaningful way. However, I am in a position to let others know, that their furniture is poorly made, not worth the money or time to order it or have it their homes. Lastly, that the store manager in Concord NH deserves an A grade for Arrogance. Lastly, my experience maybe an N = 1 with no statistical significance. But, I am a monkey's uncle if our experience is a complete outlier. My bet, is that Pompanoosuc has some real internal issues on several levels. There is a lot of quality furniture and competition out there. I am grateful and recognize how fortunate we are to be able to consider and purchase furniture and try to remain grounded, rather than drifting into the realm of an entitled consumer. From my point of view, Pompanoosuc has or is in a position of entitlement and disrespect and a shameful representation , at least currently, of a local Vermont Furniture company. Maybe once was a different organization or they simply cant create and deliver consistently.

For example if you go to the Burlington or Natick Massachusetts stores the hungry designers will almost chase you out with torches & pitchforks. I have moved a lot because I'm a hobbyist flipper and that means I'm cheap but I buy a lot. What a pleasant surprise that the staff at the Bedford New Hampshire store let me treasure hunt and find this awesome chandelier!! The logistics manager Dean showed me that its paperwork shows that it used to be a display in the old, closed down Ethan Allen that is literally over the town line on the street I live on. I guess it wanted to come home. The designer Verlie was very nice to me and didn't make me feel like a scavenger for discount shopping. The Ethan Allen company could learn a lot from this location.

It did not come with leather pillows, as we were told by our sales lady that it would, so the owner made it right by having four fabric pillows of our choice made for us. Three months after having the sofa, the white leather on one of the cushions started wearing away. I emailed the owner, and he is promptly replacing the entire cushion at no charge. I just hope that we do not notice this issue on other pieces of the sofas, as we did not purchase the extended warranty. Comfy, handsome furniture. I enjoyed shopping here and the customer service is tremendous. I will buy fro here again, although the prices are high.

Green Mountain Tableworx - Crack at edge of table going down to under side of table and across the top

BUYER BEWARE! Or better yet, buyer find another vendor and do not conduct business with Green…read moreMountain Tableworx. After 22 months, two tables, over 100 texts and phone calls, I still have a cracked and splitting dining table. Attached pictures tell the story, but here's a quick recap (first 5 pics original table, last three pics replacement table). September 2021 I contacted owner Jamie Holcomb whose workshop is in Smithfield Rhode Island. By October 29, 2021 we chose rock maple wood for a custom, live edge dining table and made a deposit of $1500. On November 1st, 2021 I paid the remaining balance of $2449. per Jamie and he would begin the job. Paid in full. The table was delivered on December 22, 2021. On April 30th, 2022 I contacted Jamie with pictures of a long crack splitting the edge of the table. I was devastated and shocked considering the table was brand new and hardly been used. Jamie said this sometimes happens with natural wood and he would take care of it. Texted and called Jamie in May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December 2022 asking for a rebuilt table. Over the months Jamie explained the delays in moving forward because of vacations (his/employees), illnesses (his/employees), unfortunate deaths, broken down equipment, injuries, power outages, etc. Jamie put me in touch with Nikki in the New Hampshire showroom who was unable to help me in anyway. I had options of choosing a floor model river table which I did not want as I don't care for the river table look. Wanting this nightmare to end and realizing Jamie was never going to build me a replacement table, I agreed to a floor model from the workshop in a different type of wood and different size than I originally ordered and paid for. Again, I needed this nightmare to end and I needed a table. January, February, March 2023. Table was delivered March 22, 2023 with a crack. Unfortunately I have to escalate the matter to resolve it. To date, I have enlisted the help of the Better Business Bureau and am still waiting for a second response from Mr. Holcomb. He has offered a replacement table but I don't want a third damaged table from him and am asking for a partial or full refund and he gladly have this table back. Pretty sure I won't see a dime from him as we have asked for compensation when returning the first faulty and damaged table. Stay far away. Yelp where is the zero star option?
