When I pulled up to the Columbia Computer Center, I was surprised at all of the cars and customers in the place! They had plenty of staff and I was helped as soon as I got in the door. I explained the issue, paid a $25 deposit, gave them my contact info and left. The next day they called to let me know that it did need reloaded and gave me several options. Since I had already replaced the computer, I chose the option to sell the shell and have them put the hard drive in an enclosure (accessible with a USB). They just charged me the original $25 deposit and gave me what I thought was a fair price for the laptop shell. So, I went in with a useless computer, that had data I needed. I came out with the data and some cash in my pocket! On top of that, all of the staff I spoke with were professional and friendly. I'll be headed back there any time I need some computer help.

In order to get service, Gravity makes you fill out a giant, cumbersome form (they model their business after the Department of Motor Vehicles) and then select a time for an appointment. The person at the desk essentially asks me to repeat most of the same information I typed into their form again, which I do. Fifteen minutes later, he tells me that the part needed for my iPad is something they cannot get. I'm out of luck. I ask him why they don't check whether they can actually do the work before wasting an hour of my time... crickets.
