I asked to see the full doc (what legal document is he holding??) and he got angry. The he proceeded to write down a dollar figure on a piece on paper and slide it across the counter. Not kidding. He said he would look the other way if we paid him an additional 210 euro, nearly double the cost of the rental. He insulted me (a woman) in front of another italian renter thinking I could not understand him. He yelled at me. He asked for my 'husbands' credit card, though I rented the car myself. He did that twice. I said I didn't want to rent from them, and he angrily tore some paper in my face (??) as if to say 'you are DONE.' I asked for a receipt/proof stating I decided to cancel my rental with them and did not take a car. He said no. I got charged $70 on my credit card anyway, after our trip, after I rented a different car from a different rental place with no problem. There was another family at B-rent (like us, couple, 2 wiggly kids) being bribed the same way when we arrived. They were also furious. They were from Israel (outside the EU). They gave up and gave B-rent the money and drove away. Another Italian family seemed to rent fine. Avoid the discrimination and insult of this place-- it's a joke. In the end we went back to the main airport at Linate and rented from Locauto with no problems, nice car (Audi), fair price, no bs. Locauto is a far superior car rental company than B-rent at LINATE. They are also located at the airport (not off site like B-rent, where you have to take a bus to get to them).

We tried walking from our hotel but it was a bit hot and humid for me, so we drove by the store a few times anxiously waiting for it to open. Totally worth the wait! Upstairs was a whole room full of gear you could try on and behind the desk every size you could imagine still in the bag! Downstairs was full of motorcycles. Luca the store manager was amazingly patient with us sharing a cappuccino with me and generously threw in a motor guzzi pin and 2 riding baclavas. They stole our money and accused us of a damage we never saw or did…read more The whole car was filled with damage from the start and now they charged us 136 euros for a scratch on the mirror that was clearly already there! We drove the car only to a remote place in the mountains without any traffic and the damage was not able to have taken place while the car was in our possession. DONT RENT OR DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY! I'm glad I was insured through my credit card company, because they tried to rip my off in the first place with their extra warranties, and all of a sudden when there is a car that does not fall for these tricks they find damage? STAY AWAY!

He even threw in four water bottles for us to keep. We used the bikes to ride to Argegno, a town about 7 km away where we took a cable car (with bikes) up more than 850 meters to the small village of Pigra. From there we rode mostly downhill back to Argegno through some very lovely, non-touristy small towns in the mountains. It was one of the best days of our trip, and quite a change of pace from the typical tourist things in Florence, Venice, Verona and Milan.

I left my pedals at our last rental in Tuscany. They supplied me pedals for no extra cost. Rode around the lake 100mi/160km. I arrived back at the shop 45 minutes after closing and they were still waiting for me, Grazie Mille. I expected to be charged for an additional day. I was wrong!! The bike cost me 20 euros for the day. Don't look any further for a great bike shop with exceptional service.
