Didn't take any pictures this time, because thrift store products are in and out. Staff were friendly & helpful when I ask about certain items. Taking me to the items I asked about. Found a couple things for my son's dog, at a good price. I was traveling through & enjoy checking out thrift stores to pick up odd items. Also like getting DVDs & books on CDs. Good size store, does not smell bad, and the employees have always been very nice! I find several things that are priced at way to close to or at the same price as buying it brand new, so I no longer go as often as I used to. read more

The store is nicely maintained and welcoming. The cats are great hosts. The inventory is pretty good. With that said, whoever is doing the pricing obviously is aware of resellers and uses either Google Lense or searches Second hand sites because some of the prices are a bit much, especially the back shelf. They have a vintage figurine for $50, that has a missing hand, chips and cracks. They sell the Lladro figurines for $45 and up, even if they are visibly damaged. read more

Ive been a loyal customer . Spent at least $1000 a year for 8+ years. Never had any issues til I had to do 12 hrs of community service for a traffic ticket. The owner of the place was very condescending to me and talked down to me the whole time.it was unnecessary. I know I broke the law and this is a lesson yada yada yada.. but I finally had enough and told her that I dont let anyone talk to me like that..especially when I was working without any kind of instruction ( very disorganized I there ). I clocked out . She was not aware of my regular shopping and I guess assumed I was some vagrant off the street.! So she told me not yo come back! I said ok.and that the 50 Michael kors bag i bought earlier was the last thing I buy in there as well . The lady Donna who knows me was in shock at how she was treating me. I was almost in tears.! A charity organization is NOT supposed to treat people like that. U bet I wont ever come back read more

I like dropping items off But Drop off hours are always working hours except Saturdays but if it's heavy my husband still works Saturdays. So I got on a 2 week wait list for my donations to be picked up and they didn't show. I need to find a better place to drop off donations read more

It's okay on the inside. I suppose each item may be cheap for what it is, but I dunno that the prices are any better than any other thrift shop. The cats are nice. What knocked my rating down was donations. They have signs directing you to the back to donate. All well and good; the first time I went there a nice man was out there to take them. I went back a couple of weeks ago, though, and there was no one. More than that, there's zero information once you get back there about where to leave items. I saw a couple of things left on a small back porch and there was an empty storage bin near it so I figured that must be what you do, and I just had a few boxes so I could leave my stuff there. But when I started putting stuff on the porch, a worker stuck her head out the back door and told me donations were supposed to go in a huge dumpster seen through a gate next to what looked like an abandoned building. By the time I'd processed that she wanted me to go into a scrubby, overgrown, desolate loading area alone to huck open cardboard boxes of donations into an enormous, uncovered dumpster that appeared to be full to overflowing with a STORM blowing in, she'd turned and charged back into the store, leaving a man and child who had been with her standing there looking confused. I called in through the door the man was still holding to ask her to confirm that she wanted me to do that and she didn't even slow down. The dude, who did not appear to be involved, understandably gave up and followed her with the kid. So I gathered everything I'd placed on the porch, put it into my car... and went to Goodwill. The employees there were just as dead inside but the donation station was staffed, covered and helpful and didn't treat me like some entry level go-fer. My standards are actually abysmally low for people working miserable jobs... you don't have to smile or make small talk and I appreciate help carrying but I can do it too... but I draw the line at being poorly informed, barely helped and almost entirely dismissed. And shouldn't donations be covered if rain is expected? Man, I know you wanna get rid of that stuff and not just throw it away but do the right thing and drive it somewhere better. read more

Always something to find in here. Prices aren't outrageous, and the kitties are so so cute. Sometimes I go just for them. Never had a bad interaction with staff. read more

This is a very good thrift store and I have tons of thrifting experience. It has all of the basic great things that a decent thrift store has plus some extras: -It is a fund raising entity of the A. Fern Norville [Children's] Shelter -BATHROOMS - and they are clean! -Water cooler -Free coffee -Sweet, sweet rescue cat The prices are very reasonable but the clothing supply is a little limited. This is on my list of stops to make when I head out to "Turul" as the locals say! read more

I went by today and the donation center was locked. I finally found a worker at the back of the store, who seemed unconcerned but did take my donation. I am not sure they give to the Norville Shelter. their website says the Norville Foundation SOLD it to CVTC. I know nothing about CVTC . I have never bought there but have donated many times. I think I will start taking our donations back to Terrell State Hospital . read more

I completely understand this is a thrift store. However, when 'staff' proceeds to call out loudly across the building "we are closing soon so bring your stuff to the front so we can close" thats rather off putting. Especially since its still 20 + minutes before closing time which is 5pm !! And to be told "I'm just doing my job!" Wow I'm pretty sure thats not how you were 'trained'! I will make sure I refer people to the resale shop in Talty!! Good job!! read more

We used to shop here all the time and donate regularly. I still have a $5 off $20 purchase I haven't used from last time I donated to them. My husband stopped by today and wanted to purchase a mop bucket for $2.99 and an unmarked DVD player. They told him $5.99 on the dvd. He said nevermind on the DVD player and gave the girl his debit card to get the mop bucket for $2.99. She asked him if he wanted to spin the wheel on the counter for a discount so he did and it landed on $5 off. She said you don't have $5 worth of stuff so he said, I'll take that DVD player for $5.99 and she said no she couldn't do that. He handed her his debit card and said he would just take the mop bucket then and she said he had to purchase at least $5 to use the debit. I don't get it, if you get $5 off on the wheel, why wouldn't the mop bucket be free. She said she couldn't apply it because he didn't have at least $5 in items. So frustrating. I think they make the rules up as they go. Just lost a long time customer. They have gotten a little too hoity toity for our taste. read more

I used to love shopping here. It's not the biggest, but the prices were really good. Now, any time they get something halfway decent, they charge a lot for it (as thrift stores go). About every third time I come, there's something with no price on it. The price they quote ends up shocking me out of a good mood, and I end up putting back anything I was borderline on. I'm pretty sure they lose money overall. I suspect they'll end up selling what I would have bought as well as the unproved things on a half off day, so that they could have made more then and there by pricing reasonably. But now they made a much smaller sale, and I'm leaving disappointed - again. It's not the free-wheeling experience a thrift store should be. read more

Been there a few times. Employees and older Fella Manager were very rude & not helpful. Only nice to people of there race. Most things are over priced, some items have two price tags & they will go by the highest price even though it's there mistake. Not courteous whatsoever. Would not recommend. Have witnessed them arguing with Customers. Christian music is lovely always on in the store but the employees don't go with the music. Need new Managers & Employees. read more
