At other offices I've used, test results were communicated by phone or MyChart without requiring another paid visit. Here, the front desk told me I had to come back in for my results, even though the doctor had previously told me I wouldn't need another visit. I had to persist and ask them to check with her before she ultimately sent my results through MyChart. I've had a similar experience with prescriptions. My previous provider gave me a three-month supply with routine refills. Here, they prefer that I come in for another visit when I need a prescription. When I requested a one-month refill, I received only a one-day courtesy supply. The front desk has also been unhelpful. I previously had to call back and forth multiple times just to verify my insurance. I also developed the large bruises pictured after having my blood drawn here. I like Dr. Misbah Kalair and appreciate that she accommodated me, which is why this is disappointing. Unfortunately, the office policies and service make me unlikely to return.

Let me start by saying, the receptionist is one of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure of working with and talking to. She is absolutely pure Gold. She helps you set your appointments and she puts you at ease while waiting for the doctor. Whenever you call the office and you have a question or you need help, she is right there to answer your question. She is friendly and she doesn't make you feel like she doesn't care Raychel, who is the RN and Dr in charge of your appointments is absolutely one of the best I have ever seen. She takes the time to listen to every word you say and answer every question you have and does it make you feel stupid or like you're wasting her time. She works with you on getting you healthier and working on any issues that you might have They will always have appointment availability for you without you having to wait two or three weeks to see the doctor. Honestly, this doctors office and clinic, reminds me of a small town doctors office. They make you feel like your time is valuable and that you are worth their time. I highly recommend you going to this clinic and letting Raychel take care of you and help you get healthy and help you get the answers. You need to make yourself feel ease for whatever you have.

My concerns initially began last year when a front-desk staff member was rude and disrespectful toward my son. Since then, I have continued to experience what I consider to be unprofessional and disrespectful interactions with Ikra and the office manager, Samia. I understand that people may have different communication styles and cultural backgrounds; however, that should never come at the expense of treating patients and their families with courtesy, professionalism, and respect. I work hard for my money, and I am not comfortable continuing to spend it at a practice where I do not feel respected or valued as a patient. I have also had concerns regarding my interactions with Dr. Tootle. I have found her communication to be dismissive and unprofessional, and I have questioned whether certain services and charges are necessary or appropriate. At times, it has felt as though services are being added or billed to my insurance without sufficient explanation or consideration of whether they are actually necessary. Overall, my experiences have left me extremely dissatisfied with the level of customer service, communication, and professionalism at this practice. Patients should feel respected, heard, and confident in the care they are receiving. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience, and I believe these concerns need to be addressed.

However, I had a pretty deep cut in my ankle today and my friends thought it would be a good idea to get it looked at. I didn't have to wait very long, paid an initial $50 fee, and then shortly after, the doc came to check out my ankle. He was very helpful and stitched up my ankle in no time! He gave me some useful advice on how to take care of my ankle before sending me on my way. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my bill came out to $250. My ER bill for just receiving bandages was over 5x that amount with insurance (and over 10x before insurance)!! Glad I went to this place although I hope I don't need to any time soon. =) Oh yeah, also, thanks to Yelp for helping me find this place!

10/27/2024 My mother passed this morning. Adding insult to…read morethat event is the fact that less than 12 hours later, someone was at my daughter's house UNANNOUNCED, to pick up medical equipment. Checking that box off of the white orchid to-do list. Note the recurring theme...UNANNOUNCED. Notified the owner of yet another two failures (unannounced AND at the wrong address) and he proceeds to blame me for not answering the phone or responding to his text during what would be the latest 72-hours of my mother life. When corrected about that, he launches into giving me a lesson on how their business is run. I kid you not - mansplaining as only a true business person could...void of any and all compassion for me or the fact that my daughter's family was unnecessarily bothered today. He ends by telling me he has the best people in the industry - as though there is something wrong with us when we were the RECIPIENTS of horrible business practices and absence of communication. For the second time in 2 months, the chaplain just shows up unannounced and then acts like he's going to force you to let him in the house. Today, he continued to knock despite hearing my dogs go ballistic and me not answering the door because I was in a meeting - AND HE HAD ZERO APPOINTMENT. I told him to leave my property or I would call the cops and his response was "Go ahead! Call them!" FIVE MINUTES LATER he was still sitting in front of my house. I was terrified that he was going to try the door handle and enter on his own...had to brace the door because he would not leave. Same chaplain did the same thing on Sept 17th at my daughter's house and was CLEARLY told not to show up unannounced, EVERYONE needs an appointment. He even went as far as to say that the company tells them to come on out when the family doesn't answer the phone. They must pay him, by the visit because he certainly puts his personal wishes ahead of those of the family. A bully at best. One social worker was the same way before we had him removed from our family's case. He just showed up and got belligerent when I would not let him in the house. Had nerve enough to ask "and just who are you?" The second social worker is more professional, calls ahead of time, schedules, sends texts and asks about OUR needs. First nurse was the same way. Thankfully, Lynn (NOW) schedules and understands that we still work etc. and, even though we are at home, we can't just stop our schedules (virtual or otherwise) because they have 8 minutes to make $150 for the half-hour.

My Mom had Alzheimer's for the last 5 years of her life. We're at the point now that my Husband & I are considered the sandwich generation. We have older children that are not quite on their own yet & aging parents that need assistance sometimes. My Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's when she was 75 years old. Each day was different & had different challenges. Some days she was great & others she needed help eating. The care she required was more than my Dad was physically able to administer. We found an adult apartment in Sugar Land for my parents. They both moved in with the belief my Dad would just need to hit a button when he needed help with my Mom. Unfortunately they were only in Landon Ridge for 6 days. My Dad was frustrated with the response time & left the facility after only 4 days. We decided my house was the best option. We brought in several home healthcare providers to evaluate my Mom. They all agreed that Pallative Care was required. I had zero experience with pallative care prior to my Mom. And when the bath aids left us some adult diapers & wet wipes I was ecstatic. Less things for us to buy later. My Dad was never thrilled with the Chaplins that came over and although we were not in denial discussing EOL was not our favorite topic. Discussing funeral arrangements and our faith with strangers was very uncomfortable and I quickly eliminated that part of Mom's treatment. I was getting frustrated because my Mom has a pressure ulcer on her heal & we needed wound care twice a week. I finally called the offices of the provider & asked that a care coordinator come by to discuss our situation. We went through 4 different palliative care providers before finding Fremont. The turnover in the industry is horrible. Just when you get a great nurse or care team, they leave or change companies. When Fremont was recommended I am sorry to say that I literally grilled them. I wanted details about the wound care, the care team, & what would & would not be provided. The Director at Fremont was so thorough & caring. She seemed to really care not just about my Mom but about my Dad & I being happy clients too. They even hired a bath aid we were previously using so we could continue with some kind faces that we were building relationships with. I can honestly say that Fremont took a lot of stress off of a very stressful situation and we highly recommend them. I pray others don't have to go through the bumps we did and just start off with Fremont.

One of the reasons we accepted their services was because they told us they had Spanish-speaking staff, but not a single person spoke Spanish. During one of the most difficult moments of our lives, communication was extremely hard and stressful because no one could properly communicate with our family in our language. We were never properly instructed on how to administer my husband's medications, leaving me confused and unsupported during an extremely emotional and painful time. The nursing care was poor. Many times, if we did not specifically ask for vital signs to be checked, they would not do it. The hospital bed they brought looked old, worn out, and dirty. There was very little communication and absolutely no compassion. The most painful part was after my husband passed away. Paul died at 7:51 PM, and hospice staff did not arrive until 10:44 PM. They then documented his death as 10:44 PM, which was simply the time they finally arrived. They appeared rushed and eager to leave instead of supporting the family during such a devastating moment. To make things worse, after my husband died on Sunday, a nurse still showed up on Tuesday as if she was coming to bathe him. That alone shows the lack of communication and professionalism within this company. This experience added unnecessary pain and stress to my family during one of the hardest moments of our lives. I would not recommend this hospice service.
