With this being said I contacted Maritza. She worked with me in every aspect of having this piece brought back to life. She helped pick out the the material(type that would last/stain resistant, etc). I now receive so many compliments on this piece of furniture. It is one of my favorite pieces. I am so glad I decided to work with Maritza instead of simply trashing the piece and purchasing something new. Thanks Maritza!!!!!!

I took the case to Ballos; they welded the damaged area of the case back up and installed new threads. Southside Hitch saved us from being stranded midway on our trip to pick up our recent graduate in…read moreTampa. We rented--online--a trailer from a well-known rental company. We had the hitch, but not the necessary lighting required for a trailer rental. Although we had an appointment to install the lighting at a Richmond location of the trailer rental company--at considerable cost-- while stopping to visit friends, we were told the kit was not available and could not be located at any other store along the 95 corridor at this venue, but we would most likely get lucky if we made various stops at their locations along the way. We called Southside Hitch the next morning, hoping that they would be able to help, but figured we would pay for our lack of planning. We were told to come on out, they were sure they could accommodate us! And they did! Within 30 minutes, we had a lighting kit installed at a fraction of the cost of the quote from the trailer rental company. It has taken me awhile, but I just want to thank Southside Hitch for being such an honest, reputable, and helpful company. We are so happy we called you! Thank you so very much!

If you need to rent any kind of equipment, this is the place to go. They have everything you could…read moreneed, from tillers to sump pumps to ladders to pressure washers and much, much more. They test any equipment before they send it home with you, so you don't have to get all the way home only to find it's not working properly. They'll give you detailed instructions on how to work whatever you're renting as well, which has proved very helpful. They have a great website so you can look up all the tools before you go. Prices are very, very reasonable. But perhaps the biggest reason you should choose Rental Works over any of the other rental places in town is how incredible their customer service is. The gentlemen there will treat you right. I've been using them for a couple of years and every employee I've ever interacted with has been helpful, polite, and gone out of their way to make me happy. Once, I had to rent a sump pump in the middle of a bad winter storm. It was so icy I couldn't bring it back the next day and they didn't even charge me a late fee. Needless to say, I couldn't be a happier customer.

Mind you, I have four separate storage cages with four different padlocks for them. I tried cutting the locks off with a small hacksaw with no luck. Next I tried a small bolt cutter borrowed from a neighbor... nada! I then "yelped" "tool rental" and up popped Rental Works conveniently located on W Broad St just off I-64W. Called them, they answered immediately (this is Saturday morning mind you), and found they had a heavy duty bolt cutter with 36 inch handles. They promised to hold it for me so I zipped out to their Location from downtown in less than 15 minutes. They had the bolt cutter sitting on the counter waiting for me. I took the minimum rental time of half a day (4 hours) for all of $12.00, drove home, easily cut the locks off and drove back to Rental Works where they actually met me in the parking lot with my receipt, a hearty congrats on getting the job done and sent me in my way. A long story I know...BUT I'm not sure I've ever had such great service from such knowledgeable and friendly guys. Almost wish I had more locks to cut off. Rental Works is definitely my "go to" tool rental" place from now on.

I recently took a Adult Beginner's Sewing Class: Level 1 at Sew Fun. I have been eager to take a…read moresewing class and found a lot of local adult art classes near me fill up quickly. So I was really excited when I found this sewing lesson shop. It was $125 for three classes. I took Monday evening classes that were meant to be slotted for 2 hours, but our sweet teacher would go earlier and stay later to let us finish the projects. Do know that this is not a true beginner class. I wish they noted that you want to take machine fundamentals before, but as a beginner I was lost a lot of the time. Our class felt like it had way too many students at times, because our teacher took a 1:1 approach and sometimes you'd be waiting for her help for a while. This does not affect my review, but our poor teacher got sick before the second class, so there was a lot of rescheduling. She did her absolute best to accommodate us which was really kind. I wish in the Level 1 we got an overall explanation of how to do things so we weren't left lost and waiting for our teacher to help us. Do know that a good amount of the tools here are well loved. On my second class, I ended up at two broken machines and wasn't able to finish my project that night. Thankfully the teacher let me come early the third class to finish it. Each class you create a new project. We made a tote bag, a zipper pouch, and a little bucket kitchen bag. I think if I went in knowing more about the machine I would've had a better experience. If you're a true beginner, be sure to take fundamentals beforehand or learn machine basics first.
