The thing you need to know about this branch of the CBA, the thing that could make your life easier and save you from possible disaster, is that they have the Internet available for personal client use to access Netbank.
You might think it's a useless service, that you'll never need it. (Why would you get Netbank only to go into a bank branch to use it right?) I thought exactly that, until one day last week when my Internet decided to crash right as I needed to transfer much needed funds into my accessible account. Without the Internet I couldn't transfer funds, and without the ability to transfer funds I was dead broke. At least until I had access to the Internet. And so it goes.
Not having the time to wait around, I frantically drove down to my nearest branch to see if they could help me over the counter in my desperate situation.
Besides the point I'm making but equally as important, I was greeted by a zealous and bubbly assistant. She excitedly greeted my children and won my daughter over immediately by gushing over how gorgeous she was. She then turned to me and asked if there was anything she could do to help me. I explained my situation, she turned around and I almost heard bells in the air as she lead me over to the customer computer pod where I could personally access my Netbank to do what I needed. To top off this lucky find and the exuberant greeting we received, as I turned to walk out my daughter was handed her very own CBA Dora co lour in page complete with CBA Crayola's.
Marketing ploys and customer strategies aside, I realised it's the little things; such as having a computer available for customer use, a happy and helpful greeting when you feel the wind has been taken from your wings (or the money from your grasp), and the little bit of extra effort it takes to please a valued client's child that go a long way to securing customer loyalty, and more importantly in keeping me happy and allowing me access to my $. read more
