This is really the only wedding vendor I wasn't too happy about. My venue requires a bartender and requires that bartender to come from common sense events. My caterer provided bartender would have been cheaper and come with cups and ice. Common sense came with 2 guys to pour wine and hand over beer. (Beer and wine only venue) initially I didn't want to tip the bartender as they would have a tip jar but I thought the guys were really awesome especially David. He always had my drink ready and they were funny guys with a lot of personality. So I ended up giving $50 for each if the guys in the jar. At the end of the night I heard the guys were putting a couple bottles of our wine aside to take and there was some drama. I did not witness this but I do believe my family so it's worth noting and removing a star. We would have loved to give away some of the leftover drinks but it felt very sneaky and upset my husband. If you're in need of services this is an easy place to hire Edit: the manger reached out to me quickly to try to make this right. I had the please of working with Common Sense Events staffing this past weekend for a wedding I was coordinating, and I was very pleased with the decision to have them as the bartender and serving staff for the event. The event was a 200 person wedding held in a private, historical venue with very specific instructions as to the safety and handling of the space. The crew understood these instructions right away and there were no issues for the 9 hours they were on-site. I highly recommend your next event feature the crew of Cristina Castro, Nicole Park, Kassandra Garcia, Seth Carvalho, and Jenna Worder. Their impeccable ease with handling a large guest list was a tremendous relief, nor did they have any issues with working outdoors in the sun on a VERY hot day. I will definitely look for them again for any upcoming events, as they were the absolute best and saved my skin countless times during the event. They're all very friendly while being easy to delegate tasks to, as not once was there ever a pause between being told what needed to get done and their getting right to work. When it came time to clean up and organize, they were just as energetic and helpful as during the event, thereby minimizing the work needed to get everything out before the permit expired (they rushed and were able to get everything done AHEAD of schedule too!). 5 stars for this crew and their company. I am a Wedding Planner. And we were creating a space for the wedding on a half acre of land out in Menifee. I knew I would need to hire a staff to take care of the guests, set-up of rentals and other key pieces so I could focus on coordinating the wedding. I worked with Hannah and she is just fantastic. Together we created the list of responsibilities for the team and she was able to determine how many staff member we would need for our 300 guests. I won't ever ever ever host an event without hiring CSE! I hosted a Bridal Shower for my DIL to-be: I had 36 guests total, and the banquet included beverages, a substantial luncheon menu, coffee/tea and desserts. I hired one CSE staff person, Nicole. First, from my first contact with CSE to the time of the event, every correspondence with CSE was friendly, timely, helpful, professional. I cannot even begin to tell you how AWESOME Nicole was. First, she was soooooo sweet and gracious, no matter how busy and hectic things got, so calm -- not my strongest character trait when things get busy. I really appreciated that about her. She made eye contact and smiled so sweetly and genuinely every time. She never seemed hurried, even when she had to be. When I grow up I want to be more like her (I'm more than twice her age lol). Second, oh my gosh she needed very little direction. And then none, because I basically abandoned her as guests arrived and she did everything like an absolute pro. Everything. And she moved in and out of the kitchen to the banquet area so quietly, I never even noticed her. I couldn't haven't done it as well even having planned it all and even if I were only serving. No exaggeration. I was going to give her a substantial tip but then doubled it. She was worth every penny! He's a super nice guy and I do believe he has the best intentions, however, I can't get a do-over at my wedding. He did give me a partial refund, which I really did appreciate and even offered to bartend any future events for us, but I declined. I will add on a second star, just because he did take the time to try and make it right, which shows that he does care about customer service. If all of his staff had the same attitude and customer service as him, I would not hesitate to recommend this company, but until he finds better staff, I still cannot recommend CSE. read more

My husband and I recently hired Common Sense Events for our November 16, 2019 wedding in Coachella and we're so glad they were a part of our big day. From directing our guests on where to park before the ceremony, moving chairs from our ceremony site to our reception site, to bussing the tables as well as filling up water glasses, this team did it all! The staff was friendly, professional and were a HUGE help on the day of our wedding. We had around 200 guests so to have a staff that was so attentive to that many people was amazing. I used Common Sense Events for my wife's 50th Birthday Bash at The Lautner Hotel & Compound in Desert Hot Springs, CA. They did a great job. We hired 2 servers & 1 bartender for a 40 person event. They were professional, courteous and easy to work with. They took direction well with no fuss. They seemed very experienced with this type of upscale evening vibe. In my case, the bartender in particular worked very hard. She helped set up the bar, organized the back bar, iced all the wine and water and put a presentational touch to the bar top. She was on her feet for 5.5 hours, served 2 liters and 2 fifths of vodka by way of our signature drink and did it all with a smile on her face. Super impressive. Since I am an Engineer, I will make this review concise and to the point; book Common Sense Events for your wedding/event. You will not be let down. Our experience: Jonathan & Julianna + Staff crushed our 500 person outdoor wedding. The biggest challenge of planning the wedding was keeping track of the bazillion vendors, tasks, etc. After booking Common Sense Events, Julianna reached out to us and set up a time to discuss our vision. WE ONLY HAD TO MEET ONCE FOR THEM TO UNDERSTAND AND GET THINGS RIGHT. They listened carefully to how we wanted things and carefully helped guide us through all the details of the day (they obviously have a lot of experience doing weddings and big events). Being able to off-load our thoughts/ideas to Jonathan & Julianna was huge. My wife and I were able to free up space in our head to do other things because we felt heard. Sure enough, come wedding day, EVERYTHING we discussed and wanted was executed beautifully. The two bar tenders were extremely attentive to our guests. They served drinks quickly and looked like they were genuinely happy to be at our wedding. The servers were dressed perfectly and always seemed to be doing something. If they weren't serving champagne, they were picking up trash, smiling at our guests, walking around looking for ways to serve, etc. Julianna was especially attentive to our requests and quickly turned emails or phone calls around to make sure we were taken care of. My guests even mentioned how great the servers were. Our day-of wedding coordinator also appreciated how easy the servers were to work with. Everything just fell into place with these guys.
