Their staff are a credit to them, welcoming and enthusiastic (but not overly so). It was a great touch that they were all decked out in clothing of the period, all braces and flat caps - reminded me of characters from Bugsy Malone. Their extensive cocktail menu has something for everyone* and reading through the list will no doubt leave you perplexed about what to order first. It was an exciting initial visit - we hadn't finished our first drink before deciding we'd come back asap. * of legal age to drink! Speaking of drinks, the staff made some recommendations and kindly offered to bring them over to where we we seating (we'd nabbed a table tucked away in what I'd describe as a snug). After only a few minutes our drinks arrived and they looked great, the glasses looked the business and what was inside them really gorgeous. I first had a South Side (reportedly Al Capone's drink of choice) and it was refreshing. Next I tried their Old Fashioned - I'm trying to get a taste for whisky - and it was a tasty, slow drink. Perfect. As I've written, we'll be definitely going back here and trying out more of their drinks. The service and attention to detail are of the highest order, even for a bar that was very busy.

If you're looking to wine and dine a loved one or impress a new date, then you can't really go wrong here. Head chef and owner Adam Wilde has created an attractive warm bistro feel in this family run establishment, with dimmed lighting, booth seating and laid back sounds. The mix of French and English dishes change regularly and are surprisingly affordable. Classic dishes like Moules Mariniere, Pork fillet Stroganoff and Slow braised lamb knuckle fall between £9 and £13 and the well put together wine list starts at just £12.90. After a fabulous dinner, you don't have to move very far for entertainment on the weekends. That's provided by the House bar, where live acts play until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays whilst you sip your belgian beer, champagnes or cocktail.

The mushroom on toast and chicken lollipops stood out as the best! But the other small plates were not far behind! For the main I had chef's sushi platter - which I highly recommend! The sushi is prepared fresh and it was all delicious, probably the best sushi I've had in England! The menu has a wide selected range of sushi options. Every item of food we ordered was delicious! Drinks: I only ordered a soft drink, but the restaurant is also a bar which serves plenty of drinks. Atmosphere: The decor of the place is beautiful and fitted the relaxed ambience. We went for dinner quite late, when the restaurant slowly shifts towards a bar. Service: The service from all the members of staff was brilliant. The only downside was we had a very long wait between our starters and main (45 mins). Price: It is on the upper end but still very reasonable for the quality of food and the service you receive. Victors is slowly becoming one of my favourite places to eat in Manchester / Altrincham.

Everything was "yes, we can do that." Went on a Sunday afternoon with kids and they loved it. Buffalo sauce is great (had on on the chicken burger, off menu). Calamari is great. Would appear to be a very good place for grown-ups in the evening. Simple, elegant décor. Very tasteful and hip without being gauche. One television with the football on, perfect balance to be able to watch the game without being in a rambunctious pub/sports bar. My guess is it was the proprietor who took care of us for the first half of our meal and my wife said, "mmmm, he's handsome, too." That I could have done without but, overall, 7 out of 5 and we will be back regularly.

This meant that our dining experience wasn't as relaxed as it could have been. The service was very friendly and attentive and the menu looked good. I ordered the mushrooms to start which were presented well but were a little tasteless my husband liked his goat cheese tarts but felt it would have been nice if they'd come with chutney. The fish and chips were a hit for main but my sea bass was rather dry and lacked flavour. The dessert we shared toffee and pecan cheesecake was the best course of the night. Overall an average experience. Think it might be best to try this place at a quieter time in the week.
