To begin with, I've procrastinated a while before writing this, but being the boating season in the…read moreCarolina's should be kicking into gear about now, here it is. Last October I found my dream Cobalt Cuddy cabin 243 from a private seller living on lake Norman. I live across the country in Reno, NV and the boat had no trailer for transporting it. I called around to a few dealerships in the area, but when I spoke to Mike at Boat Sales of Lake Wylie I knew I had found the place to get the trailer. Over the phone Mike was very responsive to helping spec the trailer out and always there to answer questions and concerns. Plus got me a great price on the EZ Loader tandem axle trailer. After a 2500 mi drive I arrive to Lake Wylie and meet Mike and the team at the dealership, and get to see the new new trailer. Beautiful heavy duty trailer that exceeded expectations. The plan was to pick the trailer up the next morning (a Friday), load my boat at Lake Norman and head home. Well, when the trailer came out of the water all the trailer lights had gone out. I knew that wouldn't work for a 2500 mi trip home. So at 2pm Friday I call Mike and tell him what's going on and he says get the trailer and boat back here and we will figure it out. Now it's about 3 pm when I get back to the dealership and the guys from the shop and parts department are all over it trying to problem solve the electrical issue. Anyone that has worked on wiring issues knows it can be a frustrating journey chasing a short, but these guys by 4:30pm found it and got me on my way home. I've got to say in all my years I've never had a friendlier caring group as these people are working together in a business. It helped reaffirm there's still hope for our society...lol. I've ran corporate business operations for a few decades before retiring and I would be proud to have had any of the people at Boat Sales as an employee. Truly the best experience with a business in a long time. Thanks again Mike!

My date and I ended up trying a couple cocktails (Smoked Old Fashioned and Manhattan) and a few starters. The OF was a little sweet but my date LOVED the Manhattan! Our server Kristina was friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed meeting the owner, Melony. A return visit is already in the works.

BUT are still people like this out there!!! I will never do business or say anything nice about this venue. Shame on you! In this time of the nation's pandemic we are urged to self-quarantine not just to protect ourselves but our family, friends, and loved ones. With that being said in the best interest of our family, friends and loved ones Ashton and Stewart have decided not to have their wedding ceremony and reception that was planned on April 11th. While having to make adjustments and cancellations it has been heartwarming in this difficult time when the caterer (Doughgirls catering) gave the entire deposit back with well wishes. Thank you!! Then there's the Venue, The Bottle Factory in Monroe NC. I don't recommend anyone EVER book an event with Sherry Helms that owns the Bottle Factory. She doesn't truly care about anything but the money. This is not a normal situation; they didn't just change their mind. We contacted her under the current circumstances discouraging large gatherings and asked for some kind of refund. In a time of Pandemic, you would have thought she would have been more empathic for a couple having to go through this situation. In an email sent from Mrs. Helms the owner of the Bottle Factory today (3/24/20) she has very boldly said she will NOT REFUND any money paid ($6000) in capital letters. And she will make sure their wedding will be beautiful on April 11th. Clearly, she doesn't care about the well-being of the community because she is willing to continue holding LARGE events in the community potentially spreading the Corona Virus!
