    Airlines Parking - Unbelievable incompetence

Cost them a star, but still a great way to obtain long-term parking and get to the airport in a timely manner.

Our go-to hassle-free parking for the DTW airport! You can't beat $15/day plus they have so many…read moreyellow shuttles running and excellent service to load and unload luggage into the shuttle. Pro Tips: 1) The parking attendant after you get your ticket will tell you which aisle to park in as that's where the shuttle will go to pick you up. Don't stray for the "closest" spot. You'll end up having to track down a shuttle with your luggage on tow. 2) The shuttle driver will give you a yellow ticket with your parking location. Keep this handy to tell the driver on your return trip. 3) Plan 20-25 min from when you park your car to getting off the shuttle at the airport. They'll pick up more passengers in the lot to fill up the shuttle, but they also don't take too long since there are many shuttles running. Parked at 4:45 AM on a Thursday and it took exactly 20 min. Two other trips, it took 13-15 min. 4) Make sure to have cash handy to tip the shuttle driver. Optional, but it's nice to thank the friendly drivers who work all hours in all weather and help with luggage.

Welcome to Michigan. This is an unbelievably story. The driver (white guy) picked my wife and I…read moreup at the Delta terminal. We did not have our green piece of paper with our row number for the driver, but knew exactly where we parked in row 3. The driver wouldn't stop bitching about the fact that we didn't have our green piece of paper and continued complaining sarcastically in front of other passengers on the bus. My wife and I had enough. I asked the driver to stop the bus, my wife and I got off, and we waited for the next driver, Richard, who was as nice as could be and took us strait to our car in row 3. I told this guy, "you should not be dealing with customers". He also couldn't remember what our luggage looked like in the back which he had to now take out. I told him, "maybe you should have a green piece of paper for our luggage too". He mumbled something I couldn't understand. What is wrong with the nut balls Park-n-Go is hiring ? Do a mental evaluation before you hire drivers. We are the customer who pays for your service !

Always polite (yes I keep my green slip, but I also take a photo so I know exactly where car is relative to the entrance building). I was about to book again, but their reservation service is down; hopefully temporary glitch. They never keep my keys, so I am not sure if that is new or if someone was targeted; that would not be cool. Would book again.

I've used off site parking in other states before, yet had not explored the options here in Detroit. My biggest concern is always the speed of the shuttles and the amount of time it will take to get from the lot to the terminal. Perhaps my first experience was an outlier, but Qwik Park knocked it out of the... well, park! Pulling in, I was told to head to Row B. Despite a recent snow, the lot was well plowed and I found a clear parking space. Before I was fully out of the car, a red shuttle bus pulled up behind the vehicle and patiently awaited me and my bags. The shuttle was empty, and once I was on board we headed straight for the terminal. No hanging around. No loops around the lot. Just a straight shot to the Evans Terminal. The driver handed me a red slip of paper marking my row letter and number, which was easy to find upon my return. Speaking of which, when I got back to DTW and headed to the shuttle area on an afternoon when the temperature was a single digit, there was another red van just sitting there waiting. Nobody was on it, and once I was on board we pulled out and headed straight back to the lot. Not only was I dropped right at the car, but the driver said he would stick around just to make sure my car turned over in the cold. What unexpectedly good service! The only downside was that I forgot to check out using one of the staffed lanes to get my AAA discount, but I reached out via email after the fact and have every confidence QP will make it right. Now the rate is up to $15 a day without any discounts or coupons. Still a lot cheaper than parking at the airport itself, and super easy. I fully expect this is now where me and the family will park when we're flying out of DTW. It feels a bit weird to give an off site parking lot one of my rare 5* reviews, but I could not imagine a better experience, so here we are. Happy travels. Drive safely. Stay vigilant.
