Vintage old signs and decor adorn the walls and everything is so neat and clean. We ordered breakfast with Ms. Annie and let me just say the western omelette, hash browns and toast was AMAZING!! Everything you could possibly need to accommodate your breakfast was neatly organized on the table from butter to sugar, creamer and condiments. Afterwards we found out that Annie waited on us AND cooked our food! Exceptional service and food quality! We're coming back for that burger everyone is raving about!! Wish I had a photo of my breakfast for ya'll but just couldn't wait to chow down!! Thanks, Annie, for the best breakfast!!

Hubby & I were out at my dads new property for my birthday checking out where he has purchased more land & a new house. Leaving, we were needing a birthday party quick hangover cure to the rescue! Lol Stopping for gas next door to this cute little drive-in, we notice it was completely PACKED! We were famished, so we decided to check it out. Inside, the place is super cute, what a find! So I started taking pics. This man, I presume "Larry the owner" comes to our table & says to me, "do you want to take pics inside the kitchen too?" LOL I said, "no, but I love your place it's very cute & I love the way you vaulted the ceilings, my hubby & I are in the process of refurbishing a carriage house & want to vault the ceilings just like this. How did you do it?" So he goes on to tell us all about his adorable Little small town cafe/ drive-in & you can see the pride that he has for this beautiful little place in his eyes. Just beaming. We order burgers & fries & it was quite a wait for them, but once we got them OMG! Hubby & I were cramming them in our pie holes so fast, "Larry" kept coming over asking us "how is it guys" & we were like grunting & mmmm-mmm-MMMM, unhua-mmm shaking our heads yes, making all kinds of noises bc we were just stuffing it in the kissers like wild ravaged walk of shame peasants. Sorry not sorry about that! :)... However, we apologize we couldn't talk further "Mr. Larry?" bc we really loved your burger as you could see we ate them like it was our last meal on earth! :)... I didn't get to ask "Larry?" about the burger bc we ate them so fast, but I think they grind their own meat here. Hubby & I grind all our own meat fresh so I can tell when the burger is ground fresh. Our burgers were a good size, seasoned to perfection, hand pattied & the SS fries were our favorite. I also LOVED the coleslaw & the ice tea!!! :)' They were so busy, people were waiting in a line out the door so we hurried & left. But we noticed that there were a LOT of people there having these giant ICE CREAM cones with what appeared on top as Oreo cookie sprinkles?! We LOVE your burger "Larry?" We LOVE your place & you are going to make my father very happy now that I have to visit him more often so hubby & I can come chow down at your place. :)' We are bringing the whole family next visit, my brother & 3 nephews, to try that wicked looking giant ice cream cone. Mmm-mmm-mmmmm unhua...Yup. See you again soon! Highly recommend.

After looking, the leaving to go see The Pecans menu, we decided to go back . Upon looking at the menu, I stopped and asked a local her opinion of the food. She said it's pretty good, the chicken salad and the COB sandwich which is basically a chicken tender on a bun with a house made sauce. Mild or hot ( hot is with jalapenos). She suggested another spot but we walked to the counter and was greeted with a smile. After telling the cashier it was our first time in town to get this she began telling us about items on the menu. Suggested the COB and her fav pie . Oh yes, they have pies which we learned that the owner makes them from scratch. So upon convincing us , we got all she suggested down to the pies. I got key lime and the mister got the cashier's fav ( Cookies and cream pie). The pies were good, right crust and the right amount of sweet.. An 8 out of 10. The COB I'm gonna have to be different than the reviews I saw and ya girl has had plenty of chicken tender sandwiches. It was nothing special about it, no seasoning and the special sauce wasn't special at all. Sorry. The bread was soft and I guess that's gotta count for something right ,. The fries were regular fries, nothing to them. I was very disappointed in the COB sandwich after all the hype about it. It definitely gets a 4 out of 10 for me. I ate one half after I put the good chicken salad on it . The chicken salad gets a 9 out of 10 for sure because it was tasty. The only reason it don't get a 10 is because I'd like more mayo but that's a personal preference. Overall it was ok. I enjoyed the service, the inside/outside eating area. If I was in the area and wanted some chick salad, I would stop again for a quick snack on that with crackers.

BBQ is a gem of the American countryside dining. Partially, because the only other alternative is…read moretypically fast food. But, that would not be a fair description of this tradition: BBQ is an incredible style of cooking and spots like this represent this tradition well. BBQ 65 is conveniently located right off the interstate in a gas station in a saloon like building that has a beautiful character from the outside. Open since 2010s, this spot has started to earn its place in the BBQ world, albeit being newer to it. There is an indoor seating inside near the gas station shop aisles. The ribs are cooked well with a nice wood profile, but neither very delicate nor particularly notable for their flavor of the meat itself, with smoke notes dominating. The quality of pork itself and the slightly tougher preparation could be better to rival Alabama's best. The BBQ sauce is loaded up with vinegar, completely overpowering the meat if consumed together, although to be fair, this may be a matter of preference for some BBQ lovers. The star of the show is potato salad which was perfectly balanced on its acidity, sweetness and overall flavor. As a whole, BBQ 65 is a pleasant stop to experience some traditional southern cooking and support a local business instead of tossing money into another "by the exit" fast food chain.
