The parking lot was packed but they were able to get us seated immediately. Service was hit and miss. Our server came by quickly to take our order, and another server brought us chips and salsa. Our food came out quickly. They checked on us immediately after the food arrived. But after I finished my margarita and wanted some water it was a long wait before I could flag down our waitress. And after the bill came, we waited quite a while for our waitress to pick it up before we gave up and went to the cash register to pay. Regarding the food, the salsa had great texture, not chunky and not too runny but a nice slurry. However, it would have been greatly improved with cilantro. The chips were fine, a little greasy and a bit broken up, but they hit the spot. House margaritas were yummy. For entrees we ordered the pork fajitas and the El Dinner. It had a chalupa, a taco, an enchilada, a burrito, a tamale, a chili relleno, beans and rice. The fajitas were a major disappointment. Bland. A total lack of flavor. That never happens with fajitas, right? Did they forget the salt? The seasonings? The beans were great. The rice was fluffy. But the fajitas were so bland nothing could make up for it. I used all the salsa we had left to try and give them something. My partner thought the El Dinner was OK. Filling and decent. We will definitely try somewhere else if we return to Great Bend.

While in Wilson, we spotted the Midland Railroad Hotel and Restaurant and decided to arrange the itinerary for our next trip so we could spend the night in WIlson. So, we arrived late afternoon and got checked in. The hotel has been restored to what it was like around the 1920's but with full upgrades including fire sprinklers, air conditioning, etc. Our room was a bit on the small side (1920'ish) but was quite comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and we got a great night's sleep. The was a complimentary breakfast in the morning that consisted mostly of local bakery projects, meats and cheeses. If you looking for modern amenities or a full HOT breakfast, you should stick with the major hotel chains. BUT, if you're into history and histrorical restorations, this place can't be beat. We thoroughly enjoyed our night in Wilson at the Midland Railroad Hotel and Restaurant.

The seasoning was very nice and complimented the waffle perfectly. The waffle was very good as well, clearly made in house. My buddy had one of the burgers with fries, he added an over easy egg, which they had no problem doing. He said the fries were better than he expected and the whole meal was very good. It was a Wednesday night, kind of slow there and the service was superb. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, it's a very nice restaurant and an excellent place to bring a date. Not too noisy, somewhat intimate and very well done.

Whoever is working the kitchen doesnt know the menu- clearly burnt the food. Then this clown proceeded to talk trash when I left a review. Says it all. See Google review for a laugh. Dont WASTE your time or money. They clearly couldn't handle a little rush when I walked in the place was nearly empty- the table next to us after 40 minutes was told half of their food had to be changed because they ran out. Total disaster. ( as shown on google) OVER ONE HOUR TO GET OUR FOOD- There was litterally a single large group in the back and the table next to us and food was even longer for them. When food did come out- it was one plate...at...a...time, FOR EVERY TABLE! Its pretty crazy when you wait for over 40 minutes and then they tall you they ran out of French fries. The table next to us had it worse, but the food was terrible. Chicken Picatta is what I ordered, but what I got was some unusual burnt deep fried chicken pieces on top of spaghetti- no lemon flavor, no wine flavor, barely any capers- and dude, come on. Canned artichokes?! When you bite into it- its mush and it holds the flavor of the can! Barely any flavor whatsoever and that broccolini was DEAD. Dont WASTE YOUR TIME. AND THAT FLOOR SUCKS! MY FRIGGIN EYES HURT. That white and black pattern is crazy. Anyway, Check your menu pictures and look at what I got ( see below). Wifes food was also bland, I actually liked the tortellini but the chicken is clearly twice cooked- nice and dry....They need some help in that kitchen....but I wouldn't want to work there. An hour?! Anyway wife got her food first- then mine about 5 minutes later about 8:55 and then we left hungry- we tipped the waitress the normal 20% - she was nice. We left after 9! I literally thought Gordon Ramsy was gonna pop out and shut the place down ( LOL) UPDATE; NO BOSS, there was barely anyone there and that group was not that big. If you cannot handle the capacity of your restaurant, perhaps communicate with your tabels instead of wasting their time. As a Prior cook- I wouldn't have served what I got. My palate was expecting what was shown and written on your menu for $18 dollars...definitely not worth what we spent all the way around. I worked the saute line- I know how it goes. When you run out of something, you 86 it immediately and waitresses know about it. That table waited 40 minutes before they found out. Anyway- I appreciate the response but my point remains. This place is a disaster. 2nd Update BOSS...Isn't it funny I got a faster response ( less than 20 minutes) on my review than I got my food? Perhaps monitor the restaurant and not the internet - yall were expecting the review and rightfully so. Talking shit? Lol Listen "drama queen". I also run my own business and am already once retired. I dont screw over my customers and then cry about it when they respond. Are you implying I burnt the chicken myself? Typical of a sore loser- blame the customer. Grow up dum dum. You suck at what you do. I kill it with what I do. Your floor still sucks and so does your food. TRUTH HURTS I GUESS. I SAY IT LIKE IT IS GUY. Its okay though, I paid my bill. You are clearly going to need the money. P.S. In the Military, we throw the BEST PARTIES. CATCH UP GUY.

The advertisement stated for $20 per person one receives a chose of a house salad or Caesar salad, made to your liking - all you can eat - pasta dish, and dessert. We were skeptical at first though found it to be quite delicious. We both chose the Caesar salad, served with yummy rolls. We got in line for the pasta dish. You had three different options for sauces, three different options for noodles (pre-cooked), several options of vegetables, and three options for meat. They cooked it in front of you. I opted for linguine noodles, a small amount of Alfredo sauce, mushrooms, and chicken. It was amazing. My husband got the tricolor tortellini noodles, all the veggies, and pesto sauce. He loved it! We got a bottle of wine, which was actually inexpensive compared to other places we go. Jacqueline was a wonderful, cheerful waitress. I will admit, you had to go through a bit of the casino to get there. Smoking is allowed in the casino so we were a bit nervous about the restaurant. We were surprised that you couldn't smell the smoke at all in the restaurant.
