Dr…read moreBroadwell has retired within the past year, so the practice has transitioned to Advanced Dentistry with Dr Schmidt. My 1st encounter with Dr Schmidt was for a tooth repair which to me is the telltale for whether I can tolerate a particular dentist or not (I.E. if the dentist does not torture me during a tooth repair I can handle any procedures less painful than that!). Surprisingly (only surprising because I despise dentists and had gotten so used to my previous dentist), my tooth repair with Dr Schmidt went smoothly with minimal discomfort (mostly mental discomfort from being at the dentist). Aside from that it seems that most of the dental techs/assistants are the same from the previous practice. Staff are all highly skilled. They are all always nice, professional and efficient. Most importantly, they listen to your concerns/request (for example, I have high sensitivity with my teeth and upon request they always take extra care to avoid causing unnecessary pain). Location is convenient as it is situated in a fairly quiet area (Concord Lake Academy next door so area may be a little busier during school start/end times). I would recommend this practice.

The paperwork filed to his insurance was done incorrectly, making the surgery not covered. I have also shown Up for my appointment for a cleaning and was told that they would have to work me in with an estimated 1 hr wait time. There were claims at attempted contact with me to discuss appointment details and potentially reschedule me. Needless to say, patient care and experience have not been positive and we will not be returning.

It was difficult biting down a metal bar that is placed awkardly against your gum and cheek by someone that's robotic with care. The X-rays provided a picture of my teeth. I met with Dr. Veronica for a consultation for my plan of care. She was very kind and explained what I would need to address. I watched a couple of videos to explain what my next visit would entail. Kiara presented the plan of care. She was very friendly and help to schedule future appointment. My only cons were the prescription and Oral-B bag. The pricing was high. I get it's a business but I run my home budget like a business. I could have save a tremendous amount of money by purchase the prescription toothpaste and mouthwash through my health insurance.

Numerous treatments were administered until my wife could see an Oral Surgeon the following Monday. This required a separate treatment every 8-to-10 hours from Friday eveming until late Sunday night. Dr. Gell never hesitated to meet us at his office for the treatment, once at midnight. His office arranged emergency services with a colleague for a removal early Monday. I have a dental bridge and last couple of time I visited this office, I was insisted of getting dental implants which were not covered by my dental insurance. So the out of pocket expense was about eighteen hundred dollars per tooth which was coming out to be around six thousand dollars. Their service was good for the most part except for the fact that I felt like they were pushing too much for me to get the implants so I stopped going to this office.

Dental work is expensive but you gotta pay to play and if you want someone who will spend their time with your mouth and guarantee the best outcome you have to pay them for their service and time. It's not cheap to run such a nice facility but her prices are competitive and fair compared to what other dentist try to get you to pay. I highly recommend dr Gina and her staff and know that when I go there I won't get additional services I don't need and that her biggest priority is to provide me with the best dental care and the prettiest smile in Charlotte
