But Dr. Patel's office is about as good as it gets when looking for a dentist. They have a newly remodeled office and brand new dentist chairs and equipment. Both times I've visited, the dental assistants couldn't have been friendlier. These ladies didn't condescend to my less-than-stellar brushing habits. They both had 20+ years experience in that office. On my latest visit, one of them checked my insurance coverage to see what exams I could get. Dr. Patel is young-ish and very friendly as well. I was in and out within on hour both times, always a plus. I don't like getting my teeth scraped more than anyone else, but this dentist's office will give you something to smile about! I applauded the doctor's efforts (really, I did) got cleaned up, got a goody bag with wound care instructions and a scrip, did the money-for-services exchange and went home to sleep this one off... got a call from Dr F in the evening to see how I was holding up. nice :-) especially thoughtful was his apology for disturbing my rest... who does that any more? the calling or concern? that's real class... and I was doing fine, hardly no pain at all for having a tooth extracted six hours earlier. now it's tomorrow and my face still doesn't hurt :-)

I did some damage to my teeth and mouth. Yes, we still drive from Chapel Hill for our dental appointments because we knew years ago we had found the best! Dr Chichetti calmly spoke with us before we left the house had his team ready for my arrival. The ladies at the front were kind and sympathetic as they guided me to the back. Esme, Dr Chichetti's assistant, gently got me ready for Dr Chichetti who calmly explained everything he was going to do so I didn't have any surprises. Dr Chichetti started to work his magic and repeatedly asked if I was ok. Amy Chichetti came in to give me moral support and encouragement, Dr Patel stopped in to lend moral support and reassurance, and the rest of the team worked together to ensure the other patients received great care during their appointments. When Dr Chichetti called the next day to see how I was doing, I could honestly say that I was doing well and was confident that his skill and the team's compassion had turned around a frightening and serious situation into a positive experience. Dr Chichetti laid out several plans based on my healing progress and I'm completely confident that I'll have the best outcome possible. After having bad experiences with other dentists in the past, I was extremely nervous and had avoided going to the dentist for 8-10 years because of fear. Unfortunately, I was in so much pain that I finally had to go. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with kindness, respect, and compassion. There was absolutely no judgment, even though I have several cavities that need to be repaired and a tooth that needs to be removed. Instead of making me feel embarrassed, they took the time to explain everything clearly and helped me understand my treatment options. Dr. James Lemmons is truly wonderful. He listened to every concern I had, answered all of my questions honestly, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the visit. He was straightforward about what needed to be done, explained what he would focus on first, and genuinely cared about helping me get my smile back. That meant more to me than I can put into words. One thing I really appreciated is that they offer payment plans, making it much easier for people to get the dental care they need without feeling overwhelmed. If you're someone who has been putting off the dentist because of fear, anxiety, embarrassment, or financial concerns, I completely understand because that was me.
