They have a decent collection of MTG cards for a new shop. Had the 4 or 5 cards I have been looking for for about a month. Only downside here is the organization of cards. He can't tell you specifically if he has a card or not without looking for it. Would benefit from some type of computer organization. Would be smart to organize cards by set or rarity at least. I know it's a new place so they may just need time to organize. Had a good number of tables for people to play games as well. Comic selection was good too. Small store with lots of personality. The people ere are friendly and willing to talk to you. As far as comics go, there are a few old issue boxes and some current issues on display. Staff is very knowledgeable about their product. They're all very friendly and are like a second family to me. The reward system is super awesome, rewarding you with discounts and bonus stuff the more you spend (15% or 20% off). Josh (the owner) is also very accommodating and helpful. Everyone is super comfortable in the space, so expect comfortable people behavior (shouting in excitement over events/packs/trends is big here). Have been buying from them for about two years now! Happy to give my money to this business :) Something cool to add would be background music, which they do sometimes, because it makes the place much more comfortable to be in. read more

This is a great place! Josh, the owner is exceptionally welcoming and clearly enjoys what he does. His enthusiasm is infectious, and the store draws a loyal crowd. Novices and connoisseurs can mingle, enjoy a cold soda from the sticker-graffitied machine or purchase some chips from the cabinet. My favorite item is the Arrested Development Tobias dress up doll set. Pretty sweet. Even if you're not into comics, Pokémon, Magic the Gathering, or other card or tactical mini figure games, you can still have a good time and learn some stuff. I didn't know what a tactical mini-figure game was until a couple minutes ago. Support this awesome local business! read more

If I could give this store ten stars, I would. Josh and his crew truly understand what a comic and game store should be. Talk to the guy for a few minutes and you can tell he loves what he does, and what he sells. Watching him stock his store with "key issues" of things like the first appearance of deadpool, talking about Blades origins etc. He's knowledgeable, and into his craft. I came in looking for a specific character (The Punisher) and not only did he have exactly what I was looking for and then some. He had some rare issues I wasn't even going to find. I didn't even have to ask either, he came out and asked if I wanted to check them out. I've literally been into every comic shop from here to San Francisco and have met an a lot of amazing people. But this store has an atmosphere you can't beat. I mean they even had pizza there for the D&D night and offered it up to myself and my pregnant wife, and everyone in the store was cheerful and just all around good people. Not to mention his amazing prices. If you're into magic, d&d, Pokémon, etc this place is great too, they have different games each night of the week. I had all but given up on finding a "regular" shop in Sacramento, and I have other ones closer to me. But Josh's store made such a strong impression it will definitely be my regular spot for here on out, and is easily the best comic store in Sacramento. read more

Every time I come here, I am kindly welcomed by staff. Store owner is incredibly informative, always helpful, listens to customers, and very social. He always tries to make sure that he can get you something even if he doesn't have it in store. He will go out of his way to satisfy his customers. Out off all the comic stores I've been to in Sacramento, this has to be the best one. Though it's small, it's still brand new, so there's not much to expect or compare to the other big ones. But when it comes to customer service, that alone will make you want to return. I'm going to always come back to this store! read more

They have an impressive selection for being a relatively new shop. There's awesome comic book related murals and artwork on the cabinets. I know they hold several gaming nights each week but haven't been in to check them out myself. Their prices are competive with other shops in the area. I would love to see this shop build. read more

I had an awesome time here. They had a large selection of single common and uncommon pokemon cards. They also had some holos and ultra rares. Their comic book selection was huge. I came here on the grand opening of their store. The staff was very friendly when I came in, and they had a huge selection of comics, including a dollar for two bin area. I purchased a mythical collection Jirachi box from them, as well as 2 dollar bin comics. Their prices are also very good, and the store looks very nice. Overall, I would definitely come here again. Oh, and I was one of the first 30 customers to purchase something, so I got a free exclusive batman comic, so that was pretty cool, too! read more

I understand that they are a business and are here to make a profit, but they did it yesterday without integrity. I can assure you that I will no longer be purchasing anything else from this store. On Saturday (2/24/2018), I called the store to see if they had any of the latest Heroclix set in stock. The person on the phone said that they did indeed have a few booster packs left remaining from an opened "brick" (one brick has ten boosters). The worker then indicated that he had purchased 6 packs from that brick and did not get any "Super Rares" or "Chase" figures in his packs (and there are five figures per pack). FYI, in the most recent sets of Heroclix, Super Rares and Chase figures typically show up in at least 3 booster packs per brick. There is often no guarantee that every brick has a Chase figure (Chase figures have the highest rarity in Heroclix), so at the very least, the most common distribution per brick is usually 3 Super Rares. When I got to the store, the worker was quick to remind me that there had been no Super Rares or Chases pulled from his 6 packs, which meant that in the typical distribution, the remaining 4 packs would contain at least 3 Super Rares amongst them. There were three packs left supposedly from that brick, so even if one pack had been purchased by someone else and that customer got a Chase/Super Rare, the remaining three packs in the store would presumably have a 2 in 3 chance of containing a Super Rare. I decided to buy 2 out of the 3 remaining packs. I opened both of them up at the store in front of the worker. To my surprise, neither of them had any Super Rares/Chases. The worker remarked that it must have been a bad brick. I have been playing Heroclix from the very start (Infinity Challenge), so I'm very familiar with the trends in the game and how figures are typically distributed. Distribution trends are no secret. There are countless brick opening videos on Youtube and forum threads on sites like hcrealms.com that confirm the Super Rare/Chase distribution model I explained above. I am sure the worker was also well aware of it, which is why I will at least bear some responsibility in being gullible to his claim that nothing had been "pulled" from his 6 packs. Regardless of this, I find it highly disingenuous and contrary to the spirit of the Heroclix gaming community that someone from the store would lie to me for the sake of moving their product. read more

I visited this awesome new comic book store yesterday, what an awesome new spot!! They sell MTG cards and comics, but they also seem to be selling toys and other fun memorabilia!! They have card game nights and even a family game night! I am very impressed with the awesome murals on one of the walls and the spray paint art on the comic book cabinets. They are a super new place and it will be exciting to see them as they increase their inventory!!! Come check this awesome place out!! read more

The best way to collect comics here is through the 'saver' method of subscription that has worked for me without fail. I recommend stopping by anytime. Finally a comic book store in natomas! Today I went in to unload some pops that I've been trying to sell. I worked with the owner the whole transaction and we came to an agreeable price for all my pops. He was really nice and New what he was talking about. Most comic book stores you get that know it all attitude and I didn't get that at all here. I highly recommend this shop. The owner took the time and showed me his inventory on many different pieces including, comics, pops, statues and collection pieces. I will definitely be stopping by weekly to grab the latest releases. read more

Great comic book store it's a little cramp due to size but it's not super small compared to others. The staff is great they have a large selections of comics and other great things. First things first. Im elated to see a comic book store opened in Natomas. I walk into the shop and the first thing I notice is the super dope and super huge mural of the joker behind the register. As a huge fan of art I am very pleased to see this and the graffiti based art on the cabinets that hold the back issues. I'm kinda bummed I just barely found out about this place. The owner is super cool, very helpful and always acknowledges his guests with a proper greeting. I say guests and not customers because he does make you feel welcomed. I've been to all of the comic book stores in and around sac and josh is one of the only places to offer me a saver. One other place has offered but after it's been a hundred visits. CCC just made sense to create a saver there because Josh was more than willing to accommodate my requests. I met another guy in there today, didn't get his name. He seemed to be another worker there and was just as cool as josh is. All in all CCC is a great new comic book store and you should pay a visit. read more

Worst comic store (that was still in business) I have been to since moving to Sactown about a year ago. I don't think the owner or any of the managers have any prior retail experience, that's clear from signage and store layout. Comic sans might seem the obvious font choice for your main sign if you're a comic shop, but it's 2016, it's been done to death and is pretty cliche at this point. The windows are full of signage, but on the inside, there's a lot of blank, empty, wasted space - both on the sales floor and the walls as well. Shelves for new releases are not marked with titles. Other shelves are marked too plainly, not big enough letters. The cabinets coated with carcinogenic spray paint (no Prop 65 signage either) containing back issues aren't even labelled. Even stickers reading "A-D," "E-H," and so on, would have made perusing more user-friendly. But no. Same goes for the "$1 Bin" section. Not fun to flip through all sorts of who-knows-what mixed between all different publishers. Not that I'm asking the staff to be librarians, but, you know, it's a book store at heart (should be) so you expect some organization (but there's hardly any) and it makes trying to find anything a very .... trying experience. Other comic shops I visit, you go in, your eyes don't know where to look - too much cool stuff! At CCC, you don't know where to look because there's a significant lacking of stuff to look at. The two toys on top of the spray painted cabinets are dated and worn looking, look like relics just dug out of a 10 year hibernation in the attic. Very few other knick-knacks, or even posters just set out for display or "cool factor." All in all the atmosphere is very lacking. The stock is shallow, nothing here comics-wise I can't get anywhere else, and other stores beat CCC all day at variety and quantity. Same goes with games, toys, books, and collectibles. Heard the owner tell a customer looking for single dice that they "hadn't (reached the level where they could make money from selling) single dice" (to paraphrase). Referring back to the lack of business acumen, some items you just HAVE to stock even though you're not going to make profit - because you're expected to sell such items, and you know the customer buying them is going to pay your cost for said item with other (related) purchases. DESPITE all these negatives, upon my visit to the shop, I decided to make a pity purchase anyways, because the staff (friendly, even if seemingly more interested in playing mash-up songs and talking) told me that all horror and Halloween-related items were X% off. So I picked up a comic (Guardians of the Galaxy - not on sale, sure) and a book (Lovecraft Unbound edited by Ellen Datlow). When I went to pay, the OWNER HIMSELF checked me out AND DIDN'T GIVE ME THE HALLOWEEN DISCOUNT ON THE BOOK (which was horror-related, to be sure, it's Lovecraft, and Ellen Datlow is one of the premier editors in the horror genre). That was the nail in the coffin - I won't go back. There's better-looking shops with more variety and simply more fun stuff to look at, and I know I'll get the deal I've been told I'll get. CCC is average at best (for a shop 20 years ago) but mostly lackluster and boring. I'd give it 0 stars if possible. read more

Genuinely enjoy this comic book shop. The owner is friendly and looks out for his customers. For instance, on multiple occasions he has identified and selected comics for me that I was unaware of but that followed key characters I collect. He also is quick to recommend new titles that cater to my specific interests. This is particularly important to me as my wife is beginning to read comics and appreciates his willingness to find titles she would like. The shop overall appears quite reasonably priced and I always find great deals when I'm there. The shop also offers a comic holding service without any strings attached. You check at least once a month and you're good to go. This is equally important to me as I often have difficulty making it by the shop on a more regular basis. All in all, I enjoy this shop, appreciate the service, and believe you will not find better bargain for comics (save maybe garage sailing). Highly recommend! read more
