Why can't all medical personnel be this nice?…read more I needed to see a pain management doctor as soon as possible. After calling around to numerous locations, I was able to reach one and I got Josie. Wow!!! talk about exceeding expectations! I wanted to see Dr Gupta and the only available appointment was 2 days later. After hearing my frustration, she put me on hold and came back saying that "Dr. Gupta is cancelling a meeting he had and would see me on this very day". Who does that? I told Josie that was so nice of her and him to do this and her answer was "we care about the patients and their needs". Then I met Dr Gupta...what a wonderful person. He echoed what Josie said about caring about the patient and making sure all that can be done is done". He went on to explain my options and what I could expect in terms of costs. To top it off, after I was given the his portion of the costs for my procedure, I later got a call from Josie telling me that it would actually be $100 LESS. Again, WHO DOES THIS? My epidural is on Monday -- I hope that the facility where this will be done is as caring and efficient as Josie and Dr. Gupta. Thank you both for making me feel like a human being.

The staff and Dr. Kumar is first class and extremely efficient. Wait, times are non-existent. I have a lot of issues, and Dr. Kumar always listens and recommends the conservative approach. He doesn't push anything, and he always allowed me to do what is right for my situation. Unfortunately, I am moving out of state and can no longer go to Dr. Kumar. I will miss Dr Kumar, his staff, and, more importantly, the excellent care that I have received for the last 4 years. If you are looking for a caring, conservative pain management, Dr. Then I highly recommend Dr. Kumar and his staff. Thank you to Dr. Omino and his wonderful staff for changing my life!…read more They worked so hard to make sure a crucial medication that was initially denied by my insurance got approved to treat my condition. I recognize the amount of time and effort it took to get my necessary medication approved, so thank you. They were extremely attentive and flexible with my schedule as well, as I am a very busy student myself. Every time I visited, Dr. Omino took the time to really explain all my options and answered all my questions. He took my symptoms seriously and never once dismissed me. He thought outside the box and ensured he did a full diagnostic work up for all potential diagnoses. I am so incredibly grateful for Dr. Omino's endless advocacy that truly makes a difference in not only my life, but all of his patients' lives.

I have a PPO with out of network coverage through Aetna so I called them and they said they dont take Aetna at all and was rude about it and hung up. So now Im back to square one, will take at least a week to get in to another Dr since they gave.me absolutely no notice and in the meantime I can not walk, on crutches, and in a lot of pain. Im going to need an MRI delaying diagnosis even longer. THESE PEOPLE ARE HORRIBLE AND DO NOT CARE. They sho I ld have told me this when I made the appointment, they obtained my insurance information and instead made me wait a week to tell me the day before and didnt care. The Dr's are probably about as good as their staff. Dont waste your time with these people because literally thats what you will do, waste your time

The wait time to see Dr. Jiang was in excess of a month, which had to be endured despite my…read morecrippling pain. My initial prescription was wildly inadequate for the level and frequency of pain I go through. I did not appreciate that the specific dosage was not discussed in the office, and I didn't find out the details until a week later, after I first passed their drug test. Once I found out the dosage was only once per day, I immediately messaged his staff that this would be inadequate. They were not receptive to my concern at all, and seemingly would not relay my concern to the doctor. After another month of agony, I spoke with the doctor over the phone. I told him how much medicine, and the frequency, best met my needs, to which he was receptive. This time the doctor prescribed exactly what I needed in order to get back on with my life. Dr. Jiang has proven to be a well educated, reasonable doctor. If you're experiencing as much pain as myself, make sure to discuss the exact dosage in-person with the doctor, as his staff will seemingly not relay him the message if the prescription is inadequate. The length of time I had to continue hurting inclines me to only leave 3 stars, but Dr. Jiang's willingness to work with me earned another star. If you have the resources available, I suggest trying to narrow down the most helpful medicine while waiting to see the doctor, so you can get a suitable script first try. ***Update: 2.5 months in, myself and Dr. Jiang have built enough of a relationship where I believe he's starting to trust me. We agreed on a solution that I thought would work for me. Unfortunately it hasn't met my expectations, but that is of no fault Dr. Jiang's, rather it points to the problems of opioid therapy. The doses that once were perfect, are no longer such. If you have opioid addiction problems, please seek help. It's out there. Dr. Jiang agreed to do our next appointment in 2 weeks rather than 4, which eased my mind, because I knew the dose we agreed to had the possibility of no longer working for me. So I look forward to our correspondence in a couple weeks. Until then I'll hang in there, with a newfound recognition that Dr. Jiang is on my side. Not to mention, the level of pain has gone down considerably since we've met. I think there are just some "kinks" to work out, so I'm not awoken in pain at 2 AM, while still appreciative enough to update Dr. Jiang from 4, to 5-stars.

**1 Star -- An appalling experience. I have never witnessed a doctor treat a patient this way.**…read more I accompanied my wife to her neurology appointment because she has been suffering from debilitating daily headaches, migraines, vertigo, stabbing head pains, and visual disturbances. She has headaches 30 days out of 30, and her condition has severely affected her ability to function. She went in looking for help. She left in tears after her neurologist became openly hostile, berated us for asking questions, and ultimately threw us out of his office. What triggered this extraordinary behavior? I asked whether we could schedule her follow-up in four weeks rather than six, since the doctor wanted to assess the effectiveness of another month of preventive medication. Apparently, that was too much to ask. He complained about how busy he was, accused us of not trusting his medical judgment, and told us that most patients don't behave the way we were behaving. When I challenged his attitude, rather than attempting to calm the situation, he became increasingly confrontational. He told us we were no longer welcome as patients. He told us to complain to our primary care doctor and health plan. He declared, **"I'm the boss here,"** and **"It's my property,"** before ordering us out. All while my wife was crying. Let that sink in. A woman suffering from debilitating neurological symptoms went to her specialist seeking help, asked reasonable questions about her treatment, and ended up being expelled from the practice. We weren't demanding miracles. We weren't expecting him to cure a complex condition on the spot. We wanted a doctor who would listen, explain the available options, and treat his patient with basic dignity. I fully acknowledge that I challenged his behavior when he became dismissive. I would do so again when watching my wife being treated that way. A physician with decades of experience should be capable of handling questions from patients and their families without interpreting them as personal attacks. The most disturbing part wasn't even his rudeness. It was his apparent willingness to sever an ongoing treatment relationship with a vulnerable patient in the middle of managing a serious, debilitating condition. **Medical expertise means very little if you cannot treat your patients with compassion, professionalism, and respect.** I have rarely been so disgusted by someone's professional conduct. If you want a neurologist who welcomes questions, listens to patients, and treats them with dignity, our experience suggests you should look elsewhere.
