You kind or expect to pay a little more in the airport so no big deal on that. But the manicure looks really bad. The staff was nice so I guess that helps. Honestly the fact that they were so nice is probably the reason I didn't ask for a refund. They looked bad as soon as they were done. Not worth the time. Horrible!! Had a delayed flight, so why not get a mani/pedi?! First off, their gel color selection is terrible, not many colors to choose from. Regular polish selection was "ok". They seemed to have more colors available for SALE than they had for paying mani/pedi customers. I paid extra for an exfoliating pedicure. Far from exfoliating, felt like your very basic pedicure that you'd get at any other salon. My gel manicure was terrible. She barely pushed back my cuticles. She got gel all over the sides and underneath my nails. She did three coats on one hand and two on the other, so one hand was darker than the other. Plus, the gel started bubbling and chipping within 3 days. 3 DAYS!! $90 for a sloppy, chipping gel manicure and very basic pedicure. Horrible!! read more

Always happy to have a little extra time to get a massage here at Comfort Zone Spa in JAX airport. It was a lucky find way back when it used to be a little sport just before the security check post. I'm glad the have a bigger space inside now. Business takes me through JAX at least once a year and massages here are always a welcome respite. read more

Geez. I don't think I have had to write a 1 star review in years. I was really looking forward to getting a no-chip manicure and pedicure before flying home but it ended up being the worst mani experience. I typically get a no chip every 2 weeks so I know the process pretty damn well. The no-chip was terrible. My cuticles were barely trimmed and all of the nail polish dried on my cuticles. I asked the woman before she started painting what she was going to do about my cuticles b/c they were so dry and clearly not trimmed properly. She told me not to worry that she will put oil on them afterwards. Um...bad technique. However, I decided to go with it. Perhaps Jacksonville knows something that Chicago salons don't. WRONG. She finished and my nails looked like they needed a manicure still. It was like a 6 y/o did my nails. I complained. I had to. They charge $45 for a no chip. The manicurist told me that the polish embedded in my cuticles would fall off in a few days. Seriously?? The owner came over and was not pleasant. She said that this manicurist is typically excellent. Um. look at my nails. So the owner said, "well what do you want to do?" and not in a pleasant way. Because I had so much time before my flight, I agreed to have them re-done. They were still terrible but a bit better than the first time. Why? Probably b/c I insisted on washing my hands after the cuticle trim and buffing b/c she did not remove the remnants from buffing my nails the first time which contributed to the problem. Also, I had to ask her to take out a wooden cuticle pusher to ensure the nail polish did not settle in the cuticle or stick to my skin. This is pretty damn obvious but yet I had to tell her. Even taking off the polish was a mess. She wrapped them in foil and acetone...standard. But she used her own nail to try to scrape the polish off. I had to grab the metal instrument and how her how to scrape it off. UNBELIEVABLE! My pedi was a bit better but the polish job was not even close to perfect. ugh. I highly suggest you stay away from this place for nail services. They are not trained properly. And it is very obvious particularly if you get manicures a lot. read more

Just went for a 30 minute chair massage last Friday and went back today for a second. Two completely different experiences. Last Friday, I had a wonderful experience. Today, the therapist utilized no pressure or effort. The same massage lacked a an arm, scalp, or hip massage. I spoke with Eileen, the manager, and she was not helpful at all. She was not interested in receiving any feedback. The only reason I am giving 2 stars rather than 1 is that some of the therapists are good. However, I will not be back given how terrible some of the therapists are. Clearly no standards. I don't think this place will be around long with Eileen in charge. read more

The owner of this spa fired me after 3 years of service with no raise might I add in all that time. I stood up to her because she was not paying us for discounts she was giving to customers. She got nasty. She is very unprofessional towards her staff. She is also aware of broken equipment and refuses to fix it. Beware. The massage chair face rest is stripped and jerks forward at random. She also told me on two separate occasions that I should wear a padded bra. I have over 13 years of experience as a therapist and she could care less. She's greedy. For her Christmas party for employees she invites the whole airport and her neighbors and the employees are an after thought. Her own manager doesn't even go which should be a clue. I read all the reviews before planning my visit, and expected the worst. Perhaps that helped me be pleasantly surprised by my visit. I got a 25-minute massage ($35) and a gel manicure ($40), and was pleased with both. Now, it wasn't the best manicure I've ever had that I'll fly back and get, but for an airport spa with good reviews, it exceeded my expectations. The team was friendly, happy, and well-staffed to deal with ongoing walk-ins. Overall, great experience that I'd definitely pay for again! read more

$25 for a 15 minute seated massage. Rip off? Perhaps...but you can't beat the convenience of this "spa" in the airport. The lady I had was definitely too gentle on the humongous knots I got in my shoulders from this week's tough work week, but you can tell she was schooled and understood the basics of the muscular system, which was honestly more than I expected when I walked up. Just what I needed after a 3 day conference in terribly uncomfortable chairs. I was taken for my 15 minute seated massage about 15 minutes after signing up. The woman who gave my massage was PHENOMENAL. She rocked the base of my skull to my tailbone. I strolled onto the plane completely pain-free for the first time in years. I intentionally arrived at the airport 3 hrs before my flight with the intent of getting a manicure and pedicure. When I arrived I was told they had no nail tech working that day. What's the point of having a nail salon then? Very poor management of business. read more
