I needed a room for a short stay to attend a funeral at the State Veterans cemetery in Spanish Fort during Mardi Gras season. Luckily, I was able to get a room at this hotel. I've never stayed at this chain before and really not familiar with the area. I called the hotel and actually spoke with a reservation clerk (Mikie). He was able to give me a reasonable rate and also assured me that the hotel was in a safe and secure location. Upon arrival, I was greeted in a courteous and professional manner. The property was clean, smelled nice and presented well as a family style hotel. The room included a hot breakfast bar. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The king room offered a bed as well as a sofa. All of that for such a low rate during Mardi Gras! I would definitely stay here again. read more

I really like this hotel The exterior and lobby are very clean. The pool area is very comfortable with cabana areas for shade. The hallway carpets are clean and up stained. Our room was great. Had to find a hotel last minute for a school function. This place was great for the rate! My teen thought we would be disappointed as we passed the other two, larger, higher rated hotels on this access road. However, the teen later acknowledged it was a good deal for what we got. For the same rate as other hotels that just give you a room with two beds, and for what others charge more, we enjoyed a room with a wet bar and a large seating area, too. Nice not to have to sit on the beds. Our room was at the end of a hall, so it was relatively quiet without a lot of people passing by, despite being near a stairwell. The elevator is more centrally located. Beds were comfortable, though I admit we brought our own pillows in light of the pandemic. (The room was very clean, but we did bring our own disinfectant and pillows just to be safer.) Due to health regulations, there was not the typical hot breakfast. However, there was certainly enough, especially since many other hotels don't offer any free breakfast. Fruit, oatmeal, grits, danishes, yogurt, and beverages. They do also have vending machines near the elevator as well as a little marketplace by the front desk with more substantial items to cook and eat in your room. Rude horrible people. booking a room from the road was simple enough, but when I called to say I had a service dog the reception said sorry no pets. I said you cant do that to which I was told they would call me back. I guess they wrote the number down wrong, then when I called back to try and cancel I was told sorry you cant get your money back. Tammy then took over and was rude, spoke over me whenever I spoke, and then emailed me with statements in capitals to show how righteous she was. This is customer service at its worst. Never again with these dishonest people. read more

If it were possible to leave NO STARS I would do it. If it weren't the LAST room available anywhere, we would have left shortly after checking in. First, motorcycles were parked ON THE SIDEWALK and portico entry, blocking the way from the wheelchair ramp to the sidewalk. We asked the woman at the front desk to ask them to move the bikes but she "didn't want to ask and get in trouble." But it's ok to make it harder for people in wheelchairs! Secondly, the handicapped accessible room WASN'T. The whole point of paying for an accessible room is ACCESS to everything for someone in a wheelchair. To get my husband from the entryway to the rest of the room and bed, I had to stand a table on end (see pics) so I could squeeze him through in the wheelchair. How is this deemed accessible??! The roll-in shower: absolutely dangerous! Setting aside that it took 6 minutes to get hot water (in a ground floor room), the floor was so slick I slipped and almost fell. I would have if the grab bars weren't there. If I had tried to get my husband in that shower he WOULD have fallen and I would have been calling 911. Further, the cracks around the drain aren't just cracks. If you step anywhere near them they sink! The whole area is spongy and very dangerous for a handicapped person. Next, let's talk about the noise level and night staff who don't give a rip about hotel etiquette. Outside noise, including traffic and sirens, is heard clearly. What is worse is when the occupants above you sound as if they are literally dropping bowling balls and rolling them across the floor. This started at 9:00 pm. I thought it would stop in a few minutes. Nope. I called the front desk and told them about the banging and stomping. She said a woman with little kids was in that room - as if I was supposed to say, "Oh, well in that case it doesn't matter if we get any sleep." I asked her to ask them to be quiet. She said she would call their room. 20 minutes later they still hadn't stopped the ruckus. I called the front desk again. She said she called the room but no one answered. I asked if she could go knock on their door and she said she would "see the if she could do that but would try calling again." An HOUR LATER at 10:15 the noise was still going on. We called the front desk AGAIN and the girl was agitated that I was calling about the noise. She informed me "they should be going to bed soon because they had a ball game in the morning," and "she didn't have any rooms left to move them or us, soooo..." I told her I wanted my money back because this entire situation was ridiculous. I asked to speak to the manager and was told they would be in at 7:30 am. Upon leaving about 6am I left my name, number and room number for the manager to call me. Still waiting. UPDATE: Amanda the manager did call and was very professional and concerned about the behavior of the front desk person, as well as the access issues and safety issues in the room. Amanda will be issuing a credit on our card. She will also discuss proper handling of noise situations with the night desk person. Bottom line: this hotel doesn't care about anything. read more

Room smell of mold/mildew, air conditioner unit so dirty had to wash the filters in the shower. Also bought disinfectant to spray in room so I could tolerate the stench. Also no one available to clean room/ take out the trash, replace used towels. read more

We were traveling from North MS to a work meeting in Ocala FL when our alternator went out. Thank goodness we were able to get off the Bridge and slide into the Hampton Inn parking lot. After frantically calling around to find a mechanic shop we tried to rent a room at the Hampton but they were booked. We turned our attention to the Comfort across the street. Spoke with an extremely nice young man at the front desk on the evening of 7/25. We booked our room, Ubered our way there and got into our room with cold a/c. We had to Door Dash dinner and again the young man upfront was helpful in finding us eating utensils. Our room smelled extremely clean and we slept like babies in the bed. Its not a brand new hotel and yes, there are some signs of wear & tear but we have stayed in much more expensive rooms that had more cosmetic issues than this hotel. The morning breakfast was nice and the gentleman running it was a real delight. The morning front desk clerk (7/26) was incredibly helpful and kind. The poor housekeeping lady was doing double duty. Apparently someone else didn't show up. After our harrowing evening we were just really thankful to be in a safe spot with a/c and comfortable accommodations. The kind staff made our not so great situation a little more bearable! read more

Price is fair for what you get. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was not very good. There were only a few options and most where frozen foods that had to be microwaved. Coffee was normal hotel coffee. Rooms were comfortable. The pull out couch was fine for my young son, but would be painful for a teenager or adult. The room was a little musty but not bad. read more

Basically, it's an ok, middle of the road hotel, with the usual Choice accoutrements. Other than real eggs (vs fake) and bagels on the breakfast bar, I'm not seeing much of an upgrade from the two Quality Inns where we've stayed earlier this week, except that the linens are nicer, the towels are newer (a bit of fluffy left in them), and they've managed to leave behind the old-fashioned and toxic fluffy bedspreads we found at the other two. Pool looks fine but unfortunately the hot tub is out of order. No jacuzzi, alas. They are in a line of hotels, Hilton Garden, Hampton Inn, and a couple of others, so they are catering to the lower end of this market. Which I guess fits my pocketbook fairly well when I'm paying, which I am on this trip. read more

This property will not cancel my room and will not give me my money back. Do not book with this property because they did false advertising and now I am out 181.00. I can't make the reservation and they kept my money and that is not what the ad said! Beware!!! read more

This place is conveniently located to the high way so we choose to spend the night.place appears to be clean, check in was a breeze, of course the parking lot had about 4 other cars in comparison to the other hotel just feet away. Upon entering our room, I could see that the linens on the bead were crushed up and it appears that someone was laying on the bed, the sheets had a bunch of hair all over, which signifies that the sheet were not changed when the previous occupants checked out. No one should be subjected to sleeping on dirty sheets in an hotel room, that is how germs transferred from person to person. I did not feel like I should call front desk to get some clean linens, we already drove for 9 hours and was tired and also it was my husband's birthday,we just wanted to rest. read more

If you are looking for a less expensive, clean place to stay, this might be the spot for you. The staff was friendly, but less than accommodating. We travel with several families and one of the parties had NO air conditioning. The room stayed between 75 and 80 degrees. They were told that no other room was available. There were signs posted asking guests to excuse their air conditioning maintenance. The pool needed shocking. The water was beginning to get cloudy. The breakfast was below par. The seating area was too small and crowded which lead to a very long line for making waffles. We usually stay at the Hampton Inn in Daphne on this yearly stopover to Florida. We gave the Comfort Suites a try due to the lower price. Unfortunately we will pay a little extra and go back to the Hampton Inn, where we will be treated to Happy Hour with free beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks. Along with a more updated facility, clean pool, better breakfast selections, and a larger dining space for just a few dollars more. read more

Excellent hotel for the price...just over $90 including tax. Large, clean room with comfy bed. The layout made good sense...everything at your finger tips. Easily control your heat & air, too. Didn't use pool, but was crystal clean. Depth was 90% 3 to 4 ft. A small portion at one end was 5 ft. Hotel was VERY quiet, and being on the top floor probably makes that understandable. Ate at Moe's Barbecue last night. Very good food. Very rustic (mostly picnic tables, but inside seating is available). read more

We travel a lot for my husbands work and this hotel has been one of the nicest places we have staid at the hotel breakfast is well hotel breakfast but it's a very clean area to eat in and leads out to a very nice kind of secluded pool area. I laid out and tanned a couple of days and had no worries. But what strikes me the most is the owner or manger I'm not sure which decorates for every holiday and that means so much when we aren't home for every single holiday. The staff is wonderful and very attentive to every need. Our room was spacious enough for us and the bed is very comfortable which is one of the reasons we pick comfort suites.but this one goes out of their way to make you feel like your at home! Also there is a very nice "nature walk" behind the hotel, we walked it almost every day we've staid and seen some alligators! They are also very close to the bay! But we have enjoyed our stay I hope this helps you decide where to stay! read more

The Comfort Suites in Daphne, Alabama is a great place to stay. The price is affordable and the amenities are abundant. Exercise room and pool. The complimentary breakfast is the best I have seen in a long time. There is a waffle and pancake station with regular and flavored pancakes. The morning of our stay happened to be strawberry pancake day. My oldest daughter loved the flavored batter and my youngest preferred the original batter. The pastry station had bagels, Danishes, English muffins, bread, an assortment of breakfast muffins, cinnamon bread and all kinds of spreads. Further down the line was a good choice of cereal, oatmeal, and yogurts. And the coffee was good! (And if you are a coffee snob, there is a Starbucks, literally, a block down the street!) The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Easy check in and easy check out! We stayed in a non-smoking, single King room and were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room. There was a little sitting area with a pull out couch and desk. There were plenty of lights and tons of electrical outlets. There was even a station on the desk with several USB ports for electronics. As a traveling family of four with iPads and iPhones each, we had plenty of plugs with extra to spare. Overall I give this hotel an excellent rating because the room was clean, the staff pleasant, and the location is literally right off the I-10. I highly recommend this hotel! read more

I had major issues with the bathroom, as the toilet didn't flush well and the bath water didn't get very hot. The staff would not give us extra pillows, which was frustrating.
