I had to put a table on end just to get my husband's wheelchair in the room.
    Wendy A.

If it were possible to leave NO STARS I would do it. If it weren't the LAST room available anywhere, we would have left shortly after checking in. First, motorcycles were parked ON THE SIDEWALK and portico entry, blocking the way from the wheelchair ramp to the sidewalk. We asked the woman at the front desk to ask them to move the bikes but she "didn't want to ask and get in trouble." But it's ok to make it harder for people in wheelchairs! Secondly, the handicapped accessible room WASN'T. The whole point of paying for an accessible room is ACCESS to everything for someone in a wheelchair. To get my husband from the entryway to the rest of the room and bed, I had to stand a table on end (see pics) so I could squeeze him through in the wheelchair. How is this deemed accessible??! The roll-in shower: absolutely dangerous! Setting aside that it took 6 minutes to get hot water (in a ground floor room), the floor was so slick I slipped and almost fell. I would have if the grab bars weren't there. If I had tried to get my husband in that shower he WOULD have fallen and I would have been calling 911. Further, the cracks around the drain aren't just cracks. If you step anywhere near them they sink! The whole area is spongy and very dangerous for a handicapped person. Next, let's talk about the noise level and night staff who don't give a rip about hotel etiquette. Outside noise, including traffic and sirens, is heard clearly. What is worse is when the occupants above you sound as if they are literally dropping bowling balls and rolling them across the floor. This started at 9:00 pm. I thought it would stop in a few minutes. Nope. I called the front desk and told them about the banging and stomping. She said a woman with little kids was in that room - as if I was supposed to say, "Oh, well in that case it doesn't matter if we get any sleep." I asked her to ask them to be quiet. She said she would call their room. 20 minutes later they still hadn't stopped the ruckus. I called the front desk again. She said she called the room but no one answered. I asked if she could go knock on their door and she said she would "see the if she could do that but would try calling again." An HOUR LATER at 10:15 the noise was still going on. We called the front desk AGAIN and the girl was agitated that I was calling about the noise. She informed me "they should be going to bed soon because they had a ball game in the morning," and "she didn't have any rooms left to move them or us, soooo..." I told her I wanted my money back because this entire situation was ridiculous. I asked to speak to the manager and was told they would be in at 7:30 am. Upon leaving about 6am I left my name, number and room number for the manager to call me. Still waiting. UPDATE: Amanda the manager did call and was very professional and concerned about the behavior of the front desk person, as well as the access issues and safety issues in the room. Amanda will be issuing a credit on our card. She will also discuss proper handling of noise situations with the night desk person. Bottom line: this hotel doesn't care about anything.

Basically, it's an ok, middle of the road hotel, with the usual Choice accoutrements. Other than real eggs (vs fake) and bagels on the breakfast bar, I'm not seeing much of an upgrade from the two Quality Inns where we've stayed earlier this week, except that the linens are nicer, the towels are newer (a bit of fluffy left in them), and they've managed to leave behind the old-fashioned and toxic fluffy bedspreads we found at the other two. Pool looks fine but unfortunately the hot tub is out of order. No jacuzzi, alas. They are in a line of hotels, Hilton Garden, Hampton Inn, and a couple of others, so they are catering to the lower end of this market. Which I guess fits my pocketbook fairly well when I'm paying, which I am on this trip.

This place is conveniently located to the high way so we choose to spend the night.place appears to be clean, check in was a breeze, of course the parking lot had about 4 other cars in comparison to the other hotel just feet away. Upon entering our room, I could see that the linens on the bead were crushed up and it appears that someone was laying on the bed, the sheets had a bunch of hair all over, which signifies that the sheet were not changed when the previous occupants checked out. No one should be subjected to sleeping on dirty sheets in an hotel room, that is how germs transferred from person to person. I did not feel like I should call front desk to get some clean linens, we already drove for 9 hours and was tired and also it was my husband's birthday,we just wanted to rest.

The check-in and check-out process was easy. All the staff I encountered were friendly. The hotel was clean and our room was nice. It was a great alternative to the space we're accustomed to when staying in an Airbnb. There was a full refrigerator, microwave, and mini cooktop. There were only a few hiccups. The room smelled a little funny. Normally, I bring Febreeze spray whenever I stay at a hotel or AirBnb, but I forgot it this time around. The bathroom in the room my husband and I stayed in was backing up with water when he used the shower, but they did send someone within 30 minutes or so to fix the issue. It was fine the rest of our stay. Overall, our suite was comparable to an Airbnb. We'd stay here again when visiting our family in the area.

When we first entered the room the lights were on already and it was so dusty and the refrigerator and microwave handles were so dirty and sticky. I did not want to touch anything else until i wiped everything with Lysol wipes. The bathroom was dirty too. The corners of the door were like moldy and the bath tub corner were also dirty not properly cleaned. Thankfully the water pressure of the shower was strong. The free toiletries were out and we asked the cleaner to refill it the next morning and she said they were out of shampoo and body wash. We had to buy our own shampoo and soap when it was not refilled the second day. For our 2 weeks stay it was never refilled. The sofa in the living room was disgustingly dirty. I did not even want to sit on it. Everyday, the hallway in 5th floor is full of trash. The elevators are always dirty and sticky. I could Not even believe that this was a Hilton Property. If you have kids I would not recommend this hotel for cleanliness issue. Management should inspect the rooms to check how they are being cleaned. PROS: Free Breakfast Kitchenette in the room Walking distance to shopping center and restaurants CONS: DIRTY rooms Moldy smell in the room Sofa inside the room is really DIRTY Hallway on upper floors always with trash I've seen a guy (with a curly hair) at night shift who works hard. He mops the floor and even cleans the elevator and throws trash. This hotel needs hundreds of Him to make this property clean and tidy. This 2 star is for him and the free breakfast in the morning.

I chose to spend an extra $10 or so and get a Bay view with a balcony, and that was worth it. Check in it a bit later than I am used to (4pm, rather than usual 3pm). I arrived, checked in, was given 2 bottles of water, and got to my room in time see the sun start to set. I sat on the balcony and listened to the wildlife in the Bay under me. The sun put on a beautiful show and this was 100% the best hotel view I've had of a nature setting. Once the sub went down, it was fun to see some of the water life down there hunting and splashing around. This is not the newest hotel, and parking was a little dark near the front of the building. They have rear parking and what looks like a lot off to the side. Check in was super easy and the staff was friendly. I didn't get the usual info on the breakfast times and all, but I could figure that out. The room itself was a little larger than I figured it would be with a small seating area and desk. Microwave, refrigerator, drawers and hanging clothes area. Pretty basic bathroom with a corer sink. It took me a moment to get the temp right for the room, but then it was fine. It was slightly damp, but a whole lot less damp than most hotels. It's a Hampton, so the beds are just perfect. I could have used another blanket or a thicker one for preference, but i was fine. I slept hard which was nice. In the morning, I got up early to head to a local race. The breakfast area was already busy, and there was not much that I wanted there. There were some premade egg things and lots of carb/bread type of selections. There were no cups by the juice selections so people were grabbing coffee cups. They were out of all the coffee (including decaf), so that was an issue at 7am after I had decided not to make any in my room, but i sucked it up and headed off without it. I didn't have time to wait. I will probably choose this location if staying in the area again. I have an annual race that starts in Daphne, and having the peaceful balcony view in a quiet area was certainly a welcomed experience!

They are also pet friendly and let our dog stay for $25 extra. When we entered to head to our room, the smell of marijuana hit me like a ton of bricks and I started getting a headache immediately. I am not exaggerating, it literally made my head hurt. We got into our room and the smell was a little better but still SO strong. We opened up the room and turned on the AC (in winter) to try to get the smell out. I always carry air freshener when we travel and tried that as well. The room looked fine (see photos) but it just wasn't cleaned well, which you can't really tell from pictures. The smell never went away and actually started getting worse later in the evening. I laid down because of my headache and luckily fell asleep so I didn't have to endure it anymore. It's ironic that they have a placard in the room about this. I added a photo of that too and because it's so close up, you get an idea of the cleanliness of the room as well. It got us through the night but it was not a comfortable stay and we left as soon as I showered in the morning. Based on other reviews, I don't think this was an isolated incident, it seems like this is common here so if it's not something you can deal with, I would recommend staying elsewhere.

We now know why the front desk person said they only had two rooms left in the entire hotel when we checked in at 5:00 p.m. Half the rooms are probably water logged and closed off LOL. This place should close for repairs. Stained sheets. That said, lobby woman very nice and accommodated our request away from the elevator. She was the bright spot. Nothing else very good. Never coming back. Great my husband said well at least they have a big TV set in the room. He turns it on, every channel has a pink hue. Not watchable, TV set doesn't work.
