Needs a few updates. Pet friendly though which is nice. No issues finding a parking spot around the building. Small store inside at reception for snacks or any toiletries you forgot. Breakfast in the morning and water and coffee in the lobby 24/7. Poop bags and trash cans around the building for those dog walks before bed or departure from the hotel. Rooms were clean but as mentioned before could use an update. Our AC unit was also extremely loud. Other than that is was a nice stay. Driving from Florida back to Colorado so it was a nice stop for some rest. Our dogs were quiet but the room next to us had a small dog that yelped at every new sound. Downside of the dog friendly rooms is being next to a dog. Staff was friendly though. Quick in and out from the freeway and in close proximity to local military bases. Hard to find dog friendly hotels on the road so glad we found this. Think they decided to not update rooms and keep the older ones for "dogs."

I'm just reading the reviews wondering if you people got hotels mixed up because there ain't no way we are talking about the same place. The hotel had such a strong smell of marijuana it would get you high going to the ice machine. The pool area was disgusting. We went that night and there was socks, shorts, shoes, towels, dirty napkins, and a rolled up T-shirt with vomit all over it. All this was still there the next day when we left around 11am. The so called breakfast was pathetic. Coffee and prepackaged danishes and they couldn't even keep the canisters filled or danishes stocked. The room was a decent size but that's about all I can say that is positive.

Inside chair cover

They were at first great, got my great grandma who is 93 a handicap room but no walk in shower so they gave her a chair to use and sit in. When I left with my kids to take them to the beach she stay which is fine she lives by her self, has for 30 years. They called me saying she asked for more towels so when the maid went in to give more towels that my great grandma made a mess in the bathroom and in the future they would not clean but will today. My great grandma said she was going to clean it up with the towels. They also claim that she destroy their chair in our room by having an accident on and because of that they have to kick us out, we were suppose to stay 8 nights but only got to stay 1. They offered to let us stay one more night but my great grandma was crying about this hole thing and feel like she did something wrong. The so called chair has no stain on it at all. I even unzipped it and looked at the inside still no stain, I asked if they could just wash the fabric like I do with my couch covers at home they said no. They also said they will be charging us a $75 cleaning fee, she's 93 and they knew that when we checked in and we were in a handicap room. I posted pictures of the so called chair that's ruined, both sides of it. They told us at 1pm that we have to check out tomorrow, my great grandma is so upset crying and does not want to enter into the building at all. I checked us out today because she doesn't want to enter or stay here longer but they are still charging us for tonight even tho we aren't even staying because they said that check out is at 11am even tho they told us at 1pm we would have to check out tomorrow. They really made a 93 women cry and not want to enter a building.

Room, very nice King bed !!

We were only going to stay one night on our way home, but bad weather moved in so stayed two nights! Very clean hotel, room was comfortable, we had our dog(French Bulldog) and it was no problem. Staff all very nice, couple minor things got corrected quickly, smoke alarm and Tv remote needed batteries. Wyndham seems to have improved the La Quinta quite a bit!! The breakfast also very good, eggs and sausage was fresh and hot. We will now look for LQ, more in the future.

Dog-friendly hotel with no pet fees!

Took a road trip from Texas to visit family in FL, and this area was a halfway stopping point. For this trip, I decided to bring my pup with me, so I had to look around for pet-friendly hotels. I chose La Quinta because they do not charge additional fees when staying with a pet (I saw other so-called "pet-friendly" hotels with up to a $125 nonrefundable "fee" for one night!). The motel is under renovations, and I think I got an updaded room - it had a comfy memory foam bed and vinyl wood flooring. Plus the room was very spacious and had high ceilings. Great location- near lots of shopping and dining, including Starbucks. Would recommend if traveling with your fur-babies!

Brand new hotel, loves dogs, fast wireless in the room, sleep number bed, free continental breakfast with a hot dish each day (sausage egg and biscuits was my favorite), and pretty close to Mobile. Downsides: All the employees (including the MANAGER) smoke right outside, right under the no smoking signs, right in front of the main entrance. Plus the hot tub had scum on the surface if you looked at the exact right angle, in their defense there was a big storm the day before. Overall I wish more hotels would take after this La Quinta. Well done.

This is a picture of some else's hair on our supposed to be clean wash cloths.

There is a mask mandate in effect, yet hotel employees were not wearing masks AND they were not enforcing the mask mandate for customers.

We stopped at the La Quinta in Pensacola and it was so dirty and smelly that even though we were on the road for 12 hours we moved on.

The check-in and check-out process was easy. All the staff I encountered were friendly. The hotel was clean and our room was nice. It was a great alternative to the space we're accustomed to when staying in an Airbnb. There was a full refrigerator, microwave, and mini cooktop. There were only a few hiccups. The room smelled a little funny. Normally, I bring Febreeze spray whenever I stay at a hotel or AirBnb, but I forgot it this time around. The bathroom in the room my husband and I stayed in was backing up with water when he used the shower, but they did send someone within 30 minutes or so to fix the issue. It was fine the rest of our stay. Overall, our suite was comparable to an Airbnb. We'd stay here again when visiting our family in the area.

When we first entered the room the lights were on already and it was so dusty and the refrigerator and microwave handles were so dirty and sticky. I did not want to touch anything else until i wiped everything with Lysol wipes. The bathroom was dirty too. The corners of the door were like moldy and the bath tub corner were also dirty not properly cleaned. Thankfully the water pressure of the shower was strong. The free toiletries were out and we asked the cleaner to refill it the next morning and she said they were out of shampoo and body wash. We had to buy our own shampoo and soap when it was not refilled the second day. For our 2 weeks stay it was never refilled. The sofa in the living room was disgustingly dirty. I did not even want to sit on it. Everyday, the hallway in 5th floor is full of trash. The elevators are always dirty and sticky. I could Not even believe that this was a Hilton Property. If you have kids I would not recommend this hotel for cleanliness issue. Management should inspect the rooms to check how they are being cleaned. PROS: Free Breakfast Kitchenette in the room Walking distance to shopping center and restaurants CONS: DIRTY rooms Moldy smell in the room Sofa inside the room is really DIRTY Hallway on upper floors always with trash I've seen a guy (with a curly hair) at night shift who works hard. He mops the floor and even cleans the elevator and throws trash. This hotel needs hundreds of Him to make this property clean and tidy. This 2 star is for him and the free breakfast in the morning.

I chose to spend an extra $10 or so and get a Bay view with a balcony, and that was worth it. Check in it a bit later than I am used to (4pm, rather than usual 3pm). I arrived, checked in, was given 2 bottles of water, and got to my room in time see the sun start to set. I sat on the balcony and listened to the wildlife in the Bay under me. The sun put on a beautiful show and this was 100% the best hotel view I've had of a nature setting. Once the sub went down, it was fun to see some of the water life down there hunting and splashing around. This is not the newest hotel, and parking was a little dark near the front of the building. They have rear parking and what looks like a lot off to the side. Check in was super easy and the staff was friendly. I didn't get the usual info on the breakfast times and all, but I could figure that out. The room itself was a little larger than I figured it would be with a small seating area and desk. Microwave, refrigerator, drawers and hanging clothes area. Pretty basic bathroom with a corer sink. It took me a moment to get the temp right for the room, but then it was fine. It was slightly damp, but a whole lot less damp than most hotels. It's a Hampton, so the beds are just perfect. I could have used another blanket or a thicker one for preference, but i was fine. I slept hard which was nice. In the morning, I got up early to head to a local race. The breakfast area was already busy, and there was not much that I wanted there. There were some premade egg things and lots of carb/bread type of selections. There were no cups by the juice selections so people were grabbing coffee cups. They were out of all the coffee (including decaf), so that was an issue at 7am after I had decided not to make any in my room, but i sucked it up and headed off without it. I didn't have time to wait. I will probably choose this location if staying in the area again. I have an annual race that starts in Daphne, and having the peaceful balcony view in a quiet area was certainly a welcomed experience!

Sadly the print was so small, I not only had to put on glasses, but I also had to take a picture of the print to figure out how to turn the device off. It appears to have a heavy duty, braided cable that can't be pulled from the wall. If I had my choice, I would take a room without any electronics. After all, I can do everything I need from my cell phone. Ugh! My stay here was short. The room was on par with the average Best Western offering the basic amenities of a private bathroom, bed, desk and chair. Breakfast was available in the morning. It's bot a swank experience that you will remember, but decent enough that you are likely to return for an overnight when traveling across the country in need of a place.

It was 28 MAR 2024, and the family and I were on a quick 3-day, 2-night trip to Alabama to take our son to OWA amusement park & indoor water park. Located on the north side of Interstate 10 in Spanish Fort, Alabama , this hotel is not very conveniently located for beach travelers going to Gulf Shores or Orange Beach. But I was able to use my Marriott points for a 2-night stay, so not having to pay anything, made the commute worth it. Other than the Bass Pro Shop, there's not much around with the exception of the Courtyard Inn next door. The hotel front desk personnel were very nice. However, Catherine, was the kindest front desk clerk we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with! She should be commended for her excellent customer service. Like most Marriott's, the hotel is well maintained, as the lobby, fitness center and rooms were all clean. I did not actually use the fitness center on this trip either, but I did check it out. Our room was a little on the small side with only 2 full-sized beds, but hey, we didn't pay anything. There was also an indoor pool and hot tub, and we actually spent quite some time in them both. The pool and pool area were clean and there were lots of towels available. The Continental breakfast here is very popular. There's a decent selection of cereals, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bagels, oatmeal and a pretty good coffee bar. There is also plenty of free parking outside. All in all I had a very good stay here.
