I stayed here impromptu while on my way from Charleston, WV to Maggie Valley, NC. Decided to stop here and finish the last 2 and a half hours the next day. I'm glad I did too because I loved it. Very comfortable room in a great location.i love that they had complimentary dinner (vegetable beef soup). They do it Monday- Thursday so that's nice. The pool looked good but I didn't try it out. I just wanted to get to sleep and continue on my trip the following day.

Stink bugs

I will say the rooms are spacious and nice and the staff is amazing but as far as the hotel no my room was infested, in stink bugs I had reserved a king size and received a queen size and also the pool heater was broke.. Like I said they did reimburse me some of my money very friendly and apologetic. It was a very dissatisfying stay the owners of this company need to do better.

Hotels seems relatively new. Room is spacious with a sitting area with a television in addition to a television in the bedroom area. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room as well. Wendy's and Hardee's nearby. If you want breakfast ( other than what's offered) or lunch. If visiting the area again, I'd stay again.

They had an outdoor pool that looked nice but we didn't use it. They also had complimentary breakfast but we also didn't eat it this morning. My only complaint.... Housekeeping kept knocking on our door at 830 when check out was not until much later Our kids were out of town with family and this was our chance to sleep in but housekeeping had other plans. My advice... do not forget to hang your do not disturb tab.

Enough so that it's my main hotel wherever I visit Kingsport. Location - 5 out of 5 - beautiful views of the mountains but also easy access to the highways. There are restaurants and fast food nearby if needed. The building - 4 out of 5 - well maintained and clean. The rooms have reasonable wear but were in good condition. Comfort - 3 out of 5 - about what you would expect from a hotel bed and pillows. The room I stayed in this time (415) was rather large which was nice. Room amenities - 4 out of 5 - basic amenities such as microwave, fridge, coffee, and basic toiletries. What I really liked was the number of outlets. A total of about 10 in the room and 2 on each side of the bed. Also had basic USB in at least 3 of them (no USB-C). Though I didn't use either, they do have a pool and gym. Service - 3 out of 5 - everyone that I came into contact with was friendly, but then again I didn't come into contact with many people. Food - 3 out of 5 - basic breakfast food, nothing flashy. Always have hot options as well as cereal, yogurt, fruit. They switch up the hot options for those staying longer than a night. If visiting Kingsport, I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

It started around 4am and is still going on as I am typing this review. I complained to the desk and was told it is maintenance. Why would they start maintenance at such an hour! Please do not stay at this Inn. Uncomfortable bed, terrible pillows, borderline cleanliness, and the NOISE!

So we get up go about our day and I return with my own cleaning supplies and I deep clean the hotel room when I find the UNGODLY PILLOW!!!! IT HAS BLOOD ALL OVER THE CASE ON ONE SIDE, so I call my other friends and ask if he may have scratches himself and if my daughter was wearing lip stick at anytime that day and didn't take it. Anyway I took all the pillows downstairs and throw them across the desk and refuse to pay for any rooms while I remained there. I only stayed in the hotel that afternoon while packing my things found another place and never looked back! I would not recommend or suggest this hotel to anyone! Oh and the coffee creamer was left out all day and would lump when I put it in my coffee!!!!

Would be rating 3.5 if possible. Wrote a long, detailed review last night yet Yelp didn't upload…read moreit. Googled hotel prices & Super 8 popped up @ $54/night + taxes; given my past experiences with Super 8's I figured it was a great price for a decent, safe place to stay. When all was said & done, the total on 1 night came to $84.76(!!!) which surprised me but it was late, I was tired & had 3 hungry kids. Get to the room & expected the yucky closed-up hotel room smell but was nearly shocked to find what seemed to be a recently updated, well cleaned, fresh room! Fancy pictures, wide clean looking beds, pretty "hardwood" floor (which is not as cozy but MUCH cleaner than 20 yr old carpet that's seen millions of feet!!)...the bathroom is a bit, er, cramped but the room itself is spacious & big enough for my family of 5 to not be stuck up each other's butts. Plus: cable! (no HBO which was a let down but I'm an ID gal anyway ) Breakfast is the usual fare of cereal, toast, waffles, juices & coffee (tbh was hoping there'd be some eggs/sausage/hot items like Comfort Inn but no huge loss)...the exterior grounds are clean, well kept & swept daily; building upkeep & repairs are obviously done bc there isn't broken, trashy looking stuff around. Despite Lynn Garden's reputation & close proximity to the Heroin Hotel (Westside Inn), there isn't a bunch of riff-raff loittering around or near the property. One downfall is no pool but there is some grassy area for kids to run/play & get some excercise. The staff has been 99% great! The check-in girl was pleasantly indifferent, the housekeepers don't bother you if the 'do not disturb' is out; the manager (Jeff perhaps? Nice guy with glasses) has been very gracious, pleasant & patient with us..he stays on the staff to make sure everything is getting done (saw him room checking yesterday)..he even vetted out my husband (who works out of town & wasnt with me @ check-in) when he asked for a new key to make sure he wasn't some stalker coming for my kids & I (I am being a little jokey but in all honesty it was a move I really appreciated!). The only negative encounter I've had was with one woman when we had a payment mishap & she was quite abrupt, acting like I was trying to hide out in the hotel for free or something (). The location itself is okay..yes, the turn in is awkward as heck but it is right next door to Dollar General, Walmart Grocery, several fast food places & gas stations. Just a few minutes to either downtown Kingsport or Mt. Carmel/Church Hill. Overall we're very pleased with our choice & stay here! Pro-Tip: if you're going to stay more than a night or 2 don't hesitate to ask if there is a weekly rate they can offer..most hotels do this if you ask.

Located adjacent to Dollar General and residential space, its a little tucked away and off the road at an awkward angle in between E. Stone Drive and Lynn Garden. When you exit Stone, you have to make a sharp U-turn almost into the Dollar General parking lot to access Super 8. The room itself isn't bad. Its not new, yet not terribly old. You can tell that the furniture is slightly dated. I stayed on the second floor within the rear of the property, which allowed for greater privacy. There is plenty of parking, and the WiFi speed was good. Breakfast is pretty much coffee, juice, waffles, cereal and toast/cinnamon bun items. The rate was reasonable at $65. Given its location and the winter storms that shut down access into both Bristol and Johnson City, I considered the room rate to be good at the times of my stay. I greatly appreciated the customer service given by the employees, in addition to the GM, Mr. Jeff Pecor. He really looks out for the guests. While he has staff that completes regular housekeeping & night audit duties, it was welcoming to see him assist his staff members by shoveling snow while also engaging guests in a friendly manner. One very professional GM that I appreciate. Overall, I would rate this property a 3.5, yet Yelp won't let me do that. I hope that they could get a few more breakfast items rather than having the bare minimum continental breakfast standards. The rooms aren't bad, yet could be better. While there are other hotel/motel options further down the road (i.e, Red Roof Inn) as well as into Kingsport, this Super 8 is an okay option if you want to stay close to the main hospital area (1 mile away) as well as main shopping access that you would find on E. Stone.
