The pool was was on the smaller side but big enough. We stayed during the week so it was never crowded. We had a king bed suite room that included a pull out couch. We loved the extra space for our toddler to romp and roam after a long day of driving. The bed was comfortable and included several pillows of all comfort levels. The walk in shower didn't leak any water upon entry or exit! Staff were incredibly friendly at both check in and check out. Breakfast staff were attentive and helpful. I dropped 1 star for 2 reasons - 1) breakfast was good but limited options. It was well stocked, clean and staff was so nice so I kind of feel bad for dropping a star for this but it's nice to have a little variety beyond the basic norms. 2) there is one hill that serves as the entry to 3 hotels. They allow tractor and trailer trucks to park along both sides of this entry making it one lane in and out. You will also sit and wait while these large trucks back up several times to fit perfectly on the side of the road. We would stay again despite the 2 things mentioned above!

Quality Inn billed my credit card for $150.60 on October 8. I called corporate office again and they said they could not fix the problem, but the hotel would be able to credit their error. I called Quality Inn manager who said to call corporate as they couldn't credit the error. My friends stayed there and had to leave because they had roaches in their room, filthy sheets, and poor service.

The manager, Bobbi, was so kind and friendly and made our stay extra special. We were given a suite with a living area, two bedrooms, and large bathroom. The rooms have mini fridges and a small breakfast is brought to your room in the am. They have a nice coffee, tea, and water station in the lobby. There is also a Mexican restaurant, Nuevo Porto, on the ground floor. It was cold so we ate there a few nights and it was good. It was a good night's rest for the price. The hallways didn't smell of pot smoke (seems to be an ongoing issue at the majority of Courtyards I've stayed in) and our room was clean (no stains on the couch! Normally I don't go near couches in these places), the bed was comfortable and the room temp just fine. They even have a decent (small) gym and a large lobby with plenty of seating and tables should you desire something from the cafe (limited hours of operation so make sure you get your caffeine before 10 am!)

Enough so that it's my main hotel wherever I visit Kingsport. Location - 5 out of 5 - beautiful views of the mountains but also easy access to the highways. There are restaurants and fast food nearby if needed. The building - 4 out of 5 - well maintained and clean. The rooms have reasonable wear but were in good condition. Comfort - 3 out of 5 - about what you would expect from a hotel bed and pillows. The room I stayed in this time (415) was rather large which was nice. Room amenities - 4 out of 5 - basic amenities such as microwave, fridge, coffee, and basic toiletries. What I really liked was the number of outlets. A total of about 10 in the room and 2 on each side of the bed. Also had basic USB in at least 3 of them (no USB-C). Though I didn't use either, they do have a pool and gym. Service - 3 out of 5 - everyone that I came into contact with was friendly, but then again I didn't come into contact with many people. Food - 3 out of 5 - basic breakfast food, nothing flashy. Always have hot options as well as cereal, yogurt, fruit. They switch up the hot options for those staying longer than a night. If visiting Kingsport, I highly recommend staying at this hotel.
