I had a short distance move of a handful of large and heavy/awkward items, moving from an upstairs unit to another upstairs unit. I was nervous about moving the items ourselves so hired comfort moving. The person who helped me scheduled the appointment was very helpful and thoughtful throughout the whole process, and made sure I knew what specials were available and asked questions about what type of items we had so they could make sure we had enough help and protective tools to keep my furniture safe. They gave me a solid estimate of what the pricing would be and helped me schedule my move for right after my closing appointment on our new home. Our actual movers Trevor and Keyon were communicative the day of of what time they would be there, called and texted me ahead of time, and walked through my home with me asking what needed to be moved and what I needed. After signing paperwork and explaining to me what would happen they took a lot of care in wrapping all my furniture and loading it up, and even offered to help move items out of my car and into their work truck when my car broke down. When we arrived at our new home they walked upstairs and looked at the floor plan so that they could plan out how to get everything up. Our couch was too big to get through the foyer and up the stairs, so they had to hoist it up through our balcony doors to get it in. After moving all of my furniture and disassembling and reassembling, it there isn't a scratch on anything. Keyon and Trevor probably worked for 5 hours straight and were polite and courteous the whole time. If I had to schedule a move again I would definitely use comfort again :) read more

Photos provided for validity! This company is highly unprofessional! We did all the comps in the phone at 7 this am! Comps confirmed everything with him from $60 an hr per worker & I chose I needed 2 as I only had a few things & had personally moved them myself before! So $120 per person equaling $240! & $80 fee so now $320 and .06% tax on total costs so $339.20 & then $100 deposit towards total with a add. .06% fee to use a card so should've been $106 after that but was $109.45 & I never ? that just paid it so leaving me to pay $239.20 in cash & I handed $240 then some to the men working before they started which had Great attitudes & they weren't unprofessional by no means although mistakes were made causing xtra time. & I agreed any add. time caused by me & my items would be covered however the 50 act. 60 extra min after pulling the drive back phone record was caused by the company & we'd been finished in time had that not happened! Tori's text " If you don't want then that's all you have to say. Next time , just let us know & we'll send a crew out to do charity work. " My response after a 20 min convo over the phone on the way back from picking up left tools so act. a 40 min drive out of the way not 30: "Charity work? That's HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. I paid almost $400 for 2 hours for 3 heavier pieces of furniture, 9 totes mainly filled with pillows for my bed that weighed next to nothing, and 1 maybe 20lb end table, for only a 15 min 4.7 mile drive!That's far from charity. Also you tried to sneak in another worker I didn't pay or hire to get an add. $120 straight from the beginning! Clearly you're just looking for the add. money added in there regardless thinking the customers an idiot! We went over comps it's $60 an hr per person! Learn some respect & courtesy for your customers & maybe then you'd not have 7 one star reviews with paragraphs explaining the lack of company organization and professionalism on your part! The workers are great however mistakes were made by THEM. I'm not liable for your company's contract not being completed and ready when arriving to me & taking 20 min on a a planner piece of paper & pen I PROVIDED to be hand written to not even get partially thru the contract might I add & I say "hey guys let's get started it's been 20 min & you've barely got the contract started write one out on the way and & I'll happily sign" & handed the money before we even started because I did the comps with you which you forgot apparently. I'm not reliable for your company forgetting tools & having to drive 30 min out of the way to go back & get them just to build my bed that would've already been built had they not been forgotten & everything completed on time! That was 50 EXTRA MIN. ON COMPANY TIME THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY ACTUAL MOVE THAT COULD'VE BEEN AVOIDED ENTIRELY. I went over every single item this morning with you as well. And had everything ready to be carried out the door the moment they got there. This isn't on me. & you're very toxic to argue with a customer vs taking accountability of your own company's fault for over 15 min. when the points & facts are valid. Then to act like I hung up on you when I clearly said why I had to get off the phone to get the job finished & said bye before I hung up just to try to argue with me more! Even your workers told you it wasn't me nor my items that added the additional time & took accountability for it! Maybe you should learn that quality & have better management! I agreed additional fees caused by moving my items! That wasn't the case & even they told you it was not! My items & having things ready to go wasn't what extended the time but I've explained that very extensively now! Have a great day I'll pray for you & your greed & lack of accountability, trying to scam customers out of time added by company not by them! You're the charity sir & not worth this paragraph! The two movers were on time, very professional and did a good job however, I was charged (for moving one piece of furniture from my garage to my 2nd floor apt. two different charges, one for 109.45 and then charged again (on my credit card 149.99) I have tried repeatedly to reach them by phone and can never get an answer. 1400 was my total for 8 hers. of moving .last year was a lot cheaper. Wouldn't let them movers start unloading my stuff until the amount he picks is paid. These people will make you give them your credit card info for a 100$ deposit & then will send over a contract ensuring that you pay 10X more the estimated amount. They will not refund you until you give them your credit card information again. Their tactic is very extorting via contractually. I do not recommend them. I've now had two separate exceptional experiences with the Comfort Moving team. The first one was in 2020 when they managed to get the worlds largest sectional couch up a historic and narrow staircase to my second floor den, and last night they literally saved me from having my brand new refrigerator stolen off the sidewalk after the incompetent Sears delivery team dropped it off and left without giving me notice they were delivering it! I called these guys at 9pm on a Friday night and they had it safely in my house 45 min later. I could not be more grateful to Anthony and DaRell for once again moving mountains (or refrigerators in this case) to save the day. read more

Responded to my inquiry within a few minutes, showed up a few hours later (it was a relatively small job: moving a 400-pound treadmill up a flight of stairs), and got the job done for the price I had in mind/thought was fair (whereas other moving companies wanted to charge 2-3 times more due to having a minimum time/cost that far exceeded the task at hand). BEWARE OF THIS SCAM COMPANY I am begging you as customers to not hire this company. Yesterday, February 1, 2024. This company was supposed to show up to my home between 9 AM and 10 AM. They arrived at 11 AM with a small box truck with the incorrect plate number and had to do two trips to move our home when they showed up there was three people, but it was agreed to have two. We also had an agreement on a price, we also had an agreement to pay via Thumbtack when they loaded the second truck load and got it to our new home. The companies owner told his crew. They are not to unload the truck unless they get the cash for the job at that point they had not even finished the job, the owner demanded that we pay in cash when we agreed upon Credit we had to have the police department come to our home because of this company, then took off at 7 PM at night with an entire truckload of our belongings. The owner sent us text messages of extortion. Demanding that we pay another hundred dollars in order to get our belongings they told us they would be at our home at 10 AM and they showed up at 12 PM. They had excuses after excuses they damaged some of my belongings. this company is not a legit company. please view the photos that are attached so that you are aware and can protect yourself and not hire this company ! Tori uses a Google voice phone number, but the license plate is registered for a van not a box truck and is registered to Keith White. When they arrived today, February 2, 2024, the company made me hand them $700 and sign a contract Before they would even unload the truck. when they arrive this morning, they moved everything into our garage and refused to bring it inside the home and finish the job completely. read more

I cannot speak more highly of a company or a group of people than the four individuals who helped us move into our new home. Quinton, Chris, Tabari, and Marcus made what we anticipated to be a very stressful day actually very easy and relaxing. They handled all of our furniture with care, were very hard-working, and were very friendly the entire time. They completed a move we thought would take all day in just three hours, including setting up our furniture/bed frames at our new house. I can't imagine ever hiring a different moving company. Do not use this company. Original quote was for 3-5 hours, ended up charging us 12 hours. "Owner" kept calling one of the movers and they would stop working even though clock kept going Made us keep paying additional hours or they would threaten to close the door and take our furniture and call the cops. Roughly handles furniture, dropped our freezer twice. Most all furniture beat up and scratched. They refuse to return our repeated phone calls requesting insurance information for repairing or replacing damaged furniture. Complete rip off artist. Company should be put out of business. read more
