Took nearly twice as long and $500 more than I was quoted. I paid for the Full Value Protection and upon unpacking discovered my TV was not functioning. When I contacted the due to my TV being broken, I was told they refused to accept liability for the damage, and they have since stopped responding. I used them in 2021 and was disappointed--several damaged items they refused to cover. My coworker has now run into the same issue I did. BEWARE; They don't honor or follow their own contract and will keep making up rules not in the contract to avoid taking responsibility for damaging items. I had used this company once before when I'd moved. So when I moved in July of 2018 I used them again. Big mistake. The two guys who came were friendly enough, but didn't take care of my belongings at all. My dryer was broken in the move. Literally the molding on the top was broken off and I found it a few days later in the yard! Then when I plugged it in, it wouldn't work at all, and I'd just used it the night before the move! I called and made them aware of it the next day. I was told to send pictures of it, so I did. No one ever called me back. I called several times and was told I'd get a call back and never did. I ended up having to buy a new dryer, as they busted the timer in mine being careless with it. I will definitely not use this company again. read more

Hands down the best moving service we have ever used. We were referred to use them by the previous owners of our condo as they had used them to move in and out. They couldn't say enough good things about them, so we figured it was worth a try since they were familiar with our building, Etc. I booked them a few weeks in advance and they confirmed the night before. They called before they left to come to our old house and let us know they were in route. When they got there they were awesome! Initially two dudes. But after loading the first load ( they were using a smaller truck because a stone archway at our new location wouldn't permit a large truck to pass through- which we knew and also knew it would probably take two trips. There was only about 1 mile between the locations so no big deal. As I said they worked hard and with in about 2 hours the first load was ready to drive over to the new place. The new place was a third floor walk up and there are 50 steps. These young men were beasts! And that is a huge compliment! They never complained, they were polite and they were very careful with our belongings. I can't say enough good things about them. Nothing was damaged. Because we had a few large items they did call in a third guy to help. It wasn't very much more and to be honest it was worth it as they did the move in less time ( 6 hrs total)in harder conditions than what the previous company I used couldn't do it 9 hrs with zero steps!!!!!! Great attitudes, hard workers. Despite the team being "beat" from their morning assignment, they really stepped up to get our hot, humid, afternoon move done efficiently. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is bc they failed to bring an appliance dolly, yet their management knew they'd be moving W/D from 2nd floor to another 2nd floor. They ended up using should straps but navigating stairway turns wasn't easy. The right equipment makes the difference. As a Lexington landlord, I'll use certainly them again. Super team! Fair prices! This was a terrible moving experience, and I would not recommend Two Dudes Moving to anyone for any purpose. First, I received a $1000 estimate for a "service" for which I was ultimately charged $1700. They were only moving me out of a 1200 sq ft, single story ranch house (the estimate was for six hours-- they ultimately took TWELVE HOURS and still did not get all of my personal items moved from my tiny ranch house). The three movers were inept, incompetent college kids who did not properly wrap any of my furniture. Many pieces arrived dented and damaged. Now, I have learned that when they moved my refrigerator, they cut the water line instead of removing it properly, and I am going to have to pay $250 to an appliance repair service to have the water line replaced. My experience could not have been worse, and I intend to tell everyone I know that they should hire any moving company other than this one. read more

I was referred to the dudes by the woman who leased my new apartment to me as she had used them with good results in the past. The dudes were professional and very quick! We had a small apartment and a storage unit we needed just the larger pieces moved out of. In the end, we had them load up as much as they could fit out of the storage unit and still it only took them about 3 hours (including driving all around town). Hiring them was only $100-$150ish more than it would've costed to rent a truck and do it ourselves, but it was so much faster and easier! read more

I had read all the amazing reviews of this place and the pricing was a bit better than the competitors, so my experience was an unexpected disappointment. To start, when they showed up (albeit on time) they had a poor attitude, very clearly annoyed they had to be there. If it were just that, I wouldn't be posting this review because I understand everyone has bad days. However, it only got worse. They had no tools with them whatsoever even though the website doesn't tell clients to have their own prepared (I let them use mine). Also they complained about their job OR had inappropriate discussions about women the entire time I was there, standing next to them/ within earshot. I am a woman. I can't remember which one said what but they both contributed equally to the inappropriate conversation. Among the topics discussed: - complained that he hated jobs he had to go to after physical training because it was so tiring -spoke disrespectfully about previous clients in front of me, as though I was not there - recounted the story about clients at a different location catching him lying on the floor and that he almost lost his job over that - what he would and would not "allow" his girlfriend to wear -whether or not a girl he knew was a S-L-U-T. Yes, he spelled it, in front of me. Like I'm a puppy or an infant. I have no idea why he thought that was less offensive but I didn't say anything because they had my furniture and the way they were behaving made me think they cared about their job so little that if I made them mad they would break something on purpose. -also they would refer to me as "the client" even though I was in the room. (One of them did use my name once the whole two hours which was nice) I quickly realized I wanted this to be over as quickly as possible so I told them to skip my TV and wall mirrors and that I would have to take them myself. Every time I took something off the list for them to carry they would be visibly excited about it in such a way that made me think it would not have been a good idea to let them carry my most fragile things. Now, even though the above are why I will never use this company again, I don't believe the behaviors of these young men express the beliefs or views of the company. I just think the company hired poorly and there is no way of knowing who you'll get unless you know who to request. But finally, as a PSA to anyone moving, measure the width of the door so that you know if your furniture will fit. I paid $200 for my $450 couch to sit on my front porch during a rainstorm because my front (and back) door was too small. (Luckily I had a friendly neighbor and my property manager bring it in through my over sized windows-- a job that this company won't do. I actually don't blame them at all for the couch, that was my fault for assuming my new front door was standard without measuring.)In fact if I hadn't been so disheartened over the treatment of women I wouldn't have even posted this. If I could give 0/5 stars for professionalism, I would. Just make sure you figure out who to request if you use this company. read more

Absolutely 5 stars!! These hard working, conscientious young men not only busted their hump the whole time they were unloading, they also assembled many pieces of cumbersome furniture. They were extremely polite and asked questions when they needed to. No dings, nothing broken, no mess. I practically had to force them to take a water break! I have had spotty service with a few other moving companies around town and this service is no different. The movers were polite enough but they showed u late, were using their phones frequently and I caught one of them smoking under a tree while I was on the clock. Just unprofessional if you ask me. WARNING! I PLEASE LISTEN! I didn't listen when when I was warned! People had told me when I was inquiring not to use these guys but they fit my schedule and I thought how bad can it be, really (?) Believe me these guys are not professional. They are just dudes off the street calling themselves movers. The are clueless about how to pack a truck! The guys who did my job were nice enough but just didn't know what they were doing. They banged my furniture around dinging stuff up. They were slow (not go getters) or thoughtful about what they were doing. One of the guys was in his twenties, he stayed on the phone texting all the time and lollygagging around so I finally called him out on it and told him he had to start working! Then when I went to settle up with the storage facility, the manager told me he saw him (the young one) come to the bathroom like 6 times before the job was done (which I didn't even know about) BTW, the storage manager also STATED that this guys are one of the worst in town! I had a 10x10 storage unit not even filled to the top and it took them 5 hours which I told the guys that it was ridiculous that it had taken this long. The reason was because they had no idea how to pack it. I paid up but then later called the manager and told him it was unreasonable to pay for 5 hour when it should have taken 2-3 max! He told me he agreed and said he was going to knock off $250 and would mail the check the next week that was July 19th, 2018. I keep waiting and waiting, a month and a half went by, called him he said that the owner forgot send it but would send it out the next day... waited another month no check, called back was told he mailed the check but must have mailed to wrong address and would stop payment and send another check, weeks went by, finally a check came ($125) half of what he agreed upon. I had told him initially that I was going to write a review to warn people of their unprofessionalism. But he said he wanted a opportunity to make things right and discouraged me from writing this. So I waited 3 months for them to make it right and it ain't gonna happen. The owner still chose not to honor his managers agreement to refund what was reasonable and fair. So when you choose to do business like this you deserve a review to WARN OTHER OF WHAT THEY ARE GETTING INTO WITH YOUR COMPANY. read more

The guys called the morning of and asked if they could come a bit sooner, they were running ahead of schedule. We were ready so it worked out perfectly for us. I used this company on 2 different occasions in November. The personnel were professional and polite. I paid extra for 100% insurance coverage. When they moved my clothes dryer the drum shifted and when turned on made an awful noise. I had Mr. Appliance come see about repairs and was quoted $364.90 for repairs after the $94.34 for the service call and estimate that I had to pay for. Adam the general manager was contacted and said he would talk to the owner and get back to us. We still do not have a working dryer and have not been contacted. read more

I just got done with a move using 2 Dudes and I can say I'm very pleased. Henry, Danny, & Max showed up a few minutes early and started working right away. Our two little girls, both very curious about these three guys handling all our stuff kept asking questions and generally getting in their way. But all three movers handled them very well, made jokes and the like, all while not losing a beat and loading stuff as quickly and efficiently as possible into the truck. The unloading was even smoother. I was 15 minutes late meeting them at the new house because I'd left my checkbook and had to go back and get it. It didn't hold them up. They probably had the truck 25% unloaded and items/boxes on the sidewalk ready to take into the house. I thought loading went quickly, but that had nothing on unloading. They drop off a box or piece of furniture and then run back to the truck for the next load. Every time. Pricing was fair and explained up front. So no surprises when we settled up. I'd recommend them to anyone needing to move a house or apartment in the Lexington/Central Kentucky area. read more

I would first start off by saying the guys who showed up were great guys, they simply made a mistake. The owners response to this mistake however is ridiculous. $100 refund on 1 year old appliances worth $2500. This also sent in a text after he claimed NO responsibility and after I said I was going to write a bad review. All of the images I sent the owner after he didn't call me when his manager told me he would be stopping by the following day to see the damage, (which he didn't) clearly show that the damages are from the items being moved. It is all around both appliances in the same location. Washer has a dent that you can see down the whole left corner. Scratches along both the washer & dryer. I told him don't worry about the refund and that I've never wrote a bad review about anyone online but I will post these images and let people know exactly how he operates his business and how he doesn't claim responsibility for his employees mistakes. Although I know it was an accident, and again the guys were great. Him claiming that it might have been me or my friends who were not helping with the moving of any large furniture at all had some responsibility is an absolute joke.
