I am not one to write reviews but in this situation, I feel like I need to. I had a change in insurance so I had to come here. I saw Dr. Balingcongan and he told me I had FOURTEEN cavities and they would cost $1000. Also said I would need a tooth extracted and that I am extremely unhealthy. He is very arrogant and judgmental if you ask him any questions regarding to your dental hygiene. He did not show me any of my x-rays. I went to TWO other dentists to get opinions. I had FOUR CAVITIES IN TOTAL. FOUR! They just want your money. Don't go here. read more

Never had a prob before. Had 3 interns dealing with me. Received a cut under my tongue, the gum next to the tooth being filled was ripped raw. Nothing about this experience was comfort. Not to mention two days later I had to have the same tooth pulled cuz it hurt so bad. They couldn't fit me in, so I went elsewhere. Won't be back. read more

Place is dirty! Tetanus infection waiting to happen. Broken chairs all in the lobby with rusty metal sticking out in the armrests. I went in to get my kiddos cavity fixed. They charged me up front and afterwards told me they were not able to fix cavities for kids. The only reason I made this appointment. They should be upfront they are not kid friendly. They also insisted on x rays at the beginning even though again knowing they could not help us in office. Had I known this I would have avoided the unnecessary radiation. They only thing good about this place were the two dental assistants that worked there. I hope they get out of that place! Would not recommend read more

Zero stars!!!!! I called to make a cleaning appt. I have dental insurance btw- they took my information over the phone and insurance info. I had a baby sitter watch my children so I could go get a cleaning. I get there & they said they didn't have my insurance on file and I couldn't get a cleaning that day.. that I could get a exam only. So I was charged $19 for the exam. (Which is free with my insurance) they explained once they "verified" my insurance they would refund me the $19 and book me for a cleaning. Well it's a month later, & they haven't ever called me back to reschedule my cleaning. They also never even refunded my $19. Worst place to go. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more

Fillings fell out. During the procedure, out of nowhere I feel a SHARP pain. My mouth FILLED up with BLOOD to the point where they had to suck it out with the suction hose. They denied any wrong doing & blamed my gums. read more

biggest joke ever. The hygienist wasn't even there. I waited 25 mins past my appt time. And they go "the hygienist isn't feeling well so we'll get your X-rays and look at them and you can come back for her part" and I go "so my appt that is listed as "teeth cleaning" isn't going to happen. I'm not getting my teeth cleaned ? The whole reason I'm here?" And she goes "no" and I go ok cancel it and walked out. why wouldn't they call and tell me that this morning before I came in ? the place is not clean. the staff dress unprofessional and act it as well. do not go here. read more

I was very nervous about getting back to a dentist after 13 years of avoidance, due to inadequate dental insurance or none at all. After covid, the cavity in my mouth spread like wildfire We'll finally went to this place in Southgate, and was pleasantly surprised. Not once felt any judgement, from any member of staff. I came in do to a toothache. They did find an infection and we were given a few options on what to do and the one they recommended was the one we decided to do which was to take antibiotics and come back for a root canal. The medicine did not help with the pain even though the doctor said I was maxed out on pain and I told him I was maxed out on pain. When I called to see what we should do about the pain their response was to take more medicine. I did that and after laying on an ice pack for a while I was finally able to get maybe an hour of sleep. And when I woke up half my face was swollen. When I called them to figure out what to do now they said we are booked today we can't see you. If you're worried about it go to the Urgent Care. I went to the Urgent Care who Sent Me to the ER to get a CAT scan. From there the doctor said I shouldn't have taken more of medicine and gave me a new antibiotic along with some painkillers. Since then I have finally started feeling better but it wasn't thanks to Comfort Dental. It would have been nice if when I called them for help several times due to the pain they didn't treat people like they're drug addicts and actually help their patients. What I mean by this is that every time I called them I was in tears telling him how much pain I was in and they just kept saying there's nothing else we can do. read more

So I've been going here for a while and there have been a few blips in the road but I like Dr. Falcone. He's very personable and most of the people in the office are very nice. Carmen is especially smart and knows what the heck she's talking about. I've had to call on a weekend thinking they'd call me Monday morning and they called me on the weekend and said I could come in at 8 on Monday morning. I appreciated that they understood I had a problem and wanted to help me address it. I'm pretty particular and not afraid to speak my mind and know I can be difficult to deal with. Pros: Friendly and professional staff. They got me in the same day that I called. I felt that the dentist was honest and he never tried to upsell me or claim I needed unnecessary work. In fact, he recemented my crown for free and sent me on my way after another dentist claimed that I needed a new crown ($1,000) and extensive gum treatments. The prices are also much lower here than average and they offer a discount plan for additional savings. They are also one of the few dentists in the area that accepts medicaid (and in my opinion, much better than the other ones that accept it). Cons: If privacy is important to you, this may be an issue here. Although my view of other patients was partially obstructed, I could hear everything that was going on around me. Also, I was sent back fairly quickly but the wait time in the dentist chair was a bit long. Overall: Very good experience for the cost. There aren't a lot of frills and if you have good insurance or a lot of money I would recommend Dr. Nguyen at Central Ohio Dental Spa. But if you have bad or no insurance I would highly recommend Comfort Dental. read more

The dentist I had been using for about 9 year became a little money hungry lately... so the search to find a new dentist began. This place was listed on my dental insurance providers website, and I've had a cavity diagnosed by the previous provider for about a few months now,. So I took the chance on this place with minimal research. I did read the google reviews, and that made me a bit apprehensive.... but here's my honest review. While I was calling around searching for a new dentist, I would always say "I have a cavity I need filled, and I'm due for a cleaning". Each place (3 of them) told me they couldn't guarantee they could fill the cavity on the first visit. And I'm like " I don't need a guarantee you will fill it - I just need to know your dentist will have time to fill it if he finds what I'm telling you is there." I mean, let's face it - most of us work - and we have to take off work to go to the dentist. Sigh. Well, Comfort Dental told me "No problem, we have the time". So they got the business. First impression: It's apparently a chain business. And this one in Heath is in a strip mall. The front waiting room was a bit... "used". It could really use an overhall. When filling out new patient information, they had you write on a laminated sheet with a sharpie.... I guess it saves on paper. But it was a bit strange. I had a full set of xrays - no problem. They wiped *everything* down with an alcohol wipe after touching it. The lead xray vest. The xray machine. Parts of the machine that they didn't even touch. The dentist I saw, and I'm leaving names out - super nice. And here's a bonus. The dentist does the cleaning - they don't hire a hygienist to do it. I was used to this back in New York... but dentists out here seem to like to farm that work out. I get it - it's cost. The dentist assistant, and the person who filled the cavity - didn't even introduce themselves. Could use a little work here on customer interaction skills. Checkout - super easy. I was a bit worried, because I just had a full set of xrays, including the circular one where the machine goes around your head. I made sure to point that out to the billing person, and she was like "No problem, here's what you owe, and if insurance doesn't cover the xray, we'll just write it off". First rate dental care. One of my teeth close to the front chipped affecting my smile. I was afraid the repair would show. Dr Canfield and his staff did a great job of fixing my chipped tooth. They got me into the office quickly, minimal pain, let me take a short break when I needed it, and the best part, you can't see the repair. They gave me the price up front so no nasty surprises.
