Then a few days later, I started experiencing intense pain from my tooth and my entire right jaw. I've always taken great care of my teeth and dental health, and had no history of this. I contacted Sampson after hours, as they claim many times on their website to offer emergency dental service. I received an email from Sampson saying that there is no way they could be responsible for my pain, even that they hadn't re-examined me. They also refused to be able to see me over the weekend, and said they would do their best for today, Monday. I had to pay out of pocket to see a Virtual Dentist who prescribed me antibiotics and told me I need to get into a dentist right away. I messaged Sampson again with this info, and they still did not help me, and could not confirm an appointment for today. So, I'm done with Sampson and have an appointment with a new dentist today. I have to pay out of pocket, but it's an emergency, and I was able to get in first thing this morning. I also am going to report Sampson to my health insurance provider and the Better Business Bureau. Do yourself a favor, and stay away from Sampson Dental.

After receiving 2 filling due to cavities I was in serious pain but was told it should go away in a few days. 2 weeks later I'm still waking up in extreme pain and discomfort. We made another appointment and came in to talk about doing more work on my teeth but they don't accept my insurance. But I was glad to pay out of pocket and told them. That was the whole reason we came here because they told us to come in for a consultation. I was then told by that they could not accept me because if the government found out that they did work on me they could get in to trouble. Wait! What!? Now remember I'm deaf but my hearing girlfriend was there to interpret for me and we both sat there in shock about this information. My insurance is not Medicare or Medicaid. But I am being turned away for a reason I still can't wrap my head around. Because we were told they would get in trouble by the government if they found out North Star did work on me. Right before we left the agreed to at least look at the tooth that was causing me so much pain. I will say they were very helpful in trying to find me a dentist that might accept my insurance. As well as a specialist to perform a root canal. We did appreciate them at least for genuinely being helpful in that regard. That was very valuable and important to me, I felt seen, and I knew right away that I could trust them to care for my teeth correctly... I immediately took an Uber over to Reynoldsburg Dental Center, (from the dental center down the way that I was currently at, who made me feel like a burden and unwelcome) so, needless to say I was SO happy I found reynoldsburg dental! Especially, because I had a broken tooth come up with sudden sharp pain and needed it pulled ASAP! I was SO confident walking up to reynoldsburg dental, even though I hadn't seen it inside, I could tell who they were, honest people who want to help; well, my expectations did NOT fail me, upon walking inside, the atmosphere is so comfortable that you feel like you're at home!wonderful music, lovely books available, and extremely nice people, this is DEFINITELY the place you are looking for if you've ever had an uncomfortable or bad experience at another dental office and you want to change that! I will NEVER go anywhere else now, It was THAT nice after I went in the back, my dentist went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable and completely informed, he walked me through everything and I felt NO pain at all even when I got it pulled out, only pressure, no pain! This was the best dental procedure ever! Lol But, seriously, I cannot explain how much I appreciate the entire team here, especially Dr. Ryan Naylor, who worked on my tooth, and the woman (I can't remember her name) who was SO caring at the front desk, you all just earned a customer for life! I will be back here every time I need a dentist appointment! Even better, they accept (most) or all insurance providers! Thank you for a WONDERFUL experience! Great job team!!!

The periodontist wanted to extract a tooth that was, in my experience, solid as a rock and not giving me any pain. I declined the suggested procedure. When I returned for my next cleaning, they inquired about whether I had seen the periodontist. When I explained that I had but that I had decided not to undergo the recommended procedure, they informed me that their "new" policy was to not perform cleanings on patients that had been prescribed a periodontal treatment but had not followed through. I don't know the professional ethics of such a policy, but it seems unethical to me. I will always retain the right to make decisions about my own health care without undue pressure from any medical provider. If you feel the same way, avoid the Reynoldsburg Dental Center. I'm looling for a new dentist.
