And this is why people aren't comfortable seeking dental care after years of neglecting themselves. Where is any kind of compassion or empathy because it's not here at Aspen Dental on 21st st!! Not to mention this was my SECOND attempt at an appointment. The first time I made an appointment I drove up and found out they were closed due to technical issues. Okay, that's fine, but not even so much as a phone call or text to let people know that, so I called them in the parking lot that morning and left a voicemail saying my name and that I would need to reschedule since they had to close today. Never got a call back at all so I made another appointment online. Got here this morning to find out they don't have an appointment for me at all (thank goodness I screenshot everything.) They agree to see me. The dental assistant was great, very polite and kind. She took my X-rays and was gentle and great with communication. My real problem lies within the doctor and I'm not even sure of her name because she didn't even introduce herself to me. She walked in, saw my X-rays showed some major bone loss, got out an instrument and poked them all while telling the assistant every tooth I needed extracted. (I mean literally like every other tooth she touches she says needs pulled immediately) and is just jaded and heartless when she tells me what she sees, then walks out. I asked the dental assistant what she meant and what my options were because there's no way I'm pulling most of my teeth at my age. She again was very polite and described some options to me and left. I sat there alone waiting on the receptionist to bring me a paper on plan of care which included pulling 90% my teeth, getting upper and lower partials, and a cleaning. To which I said absolutely not, I did not agree to any of that, the doctor was in here for maybe 90 seconds and didn't really talk to me at all so I'm going to have to think about it. But in reality there's NO way I would go back here period. They're certainly not what I pictured when I made this appointment. I know I have neglected myself and that's why I am now seeking help and a little bit of empathy and understanding go a long way with people like me who are quite aware of their oral issues and don't want to be made to feel like a POS about it!! Screw this place, find yourself a personal dentist who will talk to you like a person especially if you have less than perfect teeth like me! read more

Very disappointed in Aspen Dental. Dr. Yu is not very gentle. My wife and I both had extractions and he was very rough with both of us. He popped my wife's jaw out of the socket and now Aspen refuses to pay to have it put back into place. It has not been a good experience for either of us. I would highly suggest not using this dental practice. read more

This place is a rip off. My insurance covers cleaning which aspen refuses to do. They constantly are trying to up sale versus just doing what is requested. When you decline the"premium services" they decline what you are covered for. Don't waste your time with this place unless you are like me and it is the only place your insurance covers. read more

a filling fell out and i went to aspen dental because they offered a free xam & x rays for a new oatient. thought i was going to get emergency service but this dr ryu looked at my yooth then said sending me to the office manager where she told me it will be $292 to fill this one tooth. tried to get me to finance like a car salesman. then when i got home a small piece of it fell out went back next day and they claim its another area of the same tooth? i mean cmon now you were getting paid to fic that while tooth and you didnt do very good. so now i am out this money and still need the tooth filled. also i had a coupon to get a filling for $126 and they didnt honor it. this is also the first time i have ever been to a dentist that didnt show me my x rays first before saying how much, even when i went back both other tines never showed me my x rays!! i do not reccommend!! read more

I'll admit, we were very skeptical when we were forced to switch to Aspen due to a change in dental insurance. We had previously had the same dentist for over 20 years! We have now been with Aspen for over a year, my husband and I both see them for our regular cleanings and fillings in between. We couldn't be happier with the service we've received. Their staff is always so friendly and welcoming, they know us by name. Their previous office manager had helped us arrange affordable payments when we were on a very tight budget. Their new office manager, Megan, is equally as pleasant and has always been so helpful in quoting our procedures ahead of time and helping us get the appropriate documentation for our flexible spending reimbursement. Lastly, when my son was getting ready to go to his first pediatric dentist appointment (with a separate practice) they welcomed him in during one of my visits, gave him some fun rubber gloves, a mask and some stickers and showed him how much "fun" the dentist can be, which helped him feel better and more excited for his first appointment. When we switched dental insurance providers AGAIN in January of 2016, it was mandatory that the new provider covered their practice. We LOVE the staff and can't imagine going anywhere else! read more
