I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was able to be seen and treated for a serious tooth problem . Very responsible rates and friendly knowledgeable staff. I was probably unintentionally a little cranky towards them ( tooth pain) but they are awesome. Third time there and I wish I had used them earlier. read more

Comfort Dental is a really nice place Columbus Pike Delaware Ohio the only thing that sucks about Comfort Dental is the waiting period. They take you back there you have a seat in the chair the nurse tells you they'll be back they wait for a half hour then come back they put the teeth in your mouth then they fiddle around then they tell you we're waiting on the doctor and you got to wait another 40 minutes for him to come then he wants to fiddle around don't nobody have time to wait around for no 2 hours are a hole hour. I expect if my time is at 11:30 a.m. I expect the doctor to work on me until he's done and then let me go not to keep me waiting for two or three hours in the chair. read more

I stopped in with an immediate dental need but had never been there before. Not only did they get me back to see a dentist quickly, they feel very welcome. The two wonderful women at the front made the process simple and assured me they would get all my paperwork in order for me. I have decided to make the comfort dental in Delaware my new primary general dentist. I would strongly encourage anybody who is looking for a dentist or not happy with their current dentist, to go see them. You will be happy you did! I am certainly glad I stop in! read more

I have been a long time customer and I can attest that the quality of care has drastically deteriorated over the years. I first went to Comfort Dental as a poor college student when I attended the nearby university, OWU. I stuck with them over 12 years later out of sheer familiarity even though it was a 30 minute drive from my home and 45 minutes from my work. But I refuse to travel so far for crappy service any longer. Just to name a few bad instances that stand out in my mind. I made an appointment for a specific time to fix a loose cap on one of my front teeth. I get there and I'm told that my appointment was for later that day. I insist that I would not have possibly agreed to a later time since I'm scheduled to be at work then. The front desk lady, who is clearly annoyed with me goes back and I HEAR her complaining to someone in the back that I came at the wrong time and they'll just have to fit me in. The disgruntled behavior continued with the staff member who reluctantly called me back and got me prepped for the Dentist. Once the cap was removed and new sealant used to secure it, the dental assistant literally held that blue curing light over my tooth until it BURNED and I had to turn my head to get away from it. She proceeds to look at me nonchalantly, no apologies and continues with her curing light like nothing happen. I should have cut my losses right there and never went back, but I still had faith in my dentist Dr Halverson. I figured that I wouldn't let an assistant who clearly hates her job ruin what I still thought was a decent relationship with the dentist. So later that year I decided to give them another chance and called to make an appointment for a painful tooth that already had a filling installed. This tooth literally hurt all day and night and I made that clear to the scheduler. I get to my appointment and get images taken; then I'm told that the Dr needs to redo the filling but I'll have to make another appointment because the Dr's schedule is full and my time slot was just for diagnostics. Huh? Did I not explain that this tooth hurts right now? Why would you schedule me in a shortened time slot? Luckily I had taken that day off of work and I was told that there was a time slot available a few hours later that day that was long enough for what I needed done, which I of course took. It was not my intention to spend my entire day off dealing with this tooth. I had purposely set my appointment time earlier so that I'd be free to enjoy the rest of my day; oh well! But it doesn't end there; Dr. Halverson who over 10 years ago was so friendly and accommodating has transformed into this robotic shell of a dentist who barely listens to his patients. I told him that I think I needed a root canal, because I'm planning on being pregnant in the next few months and I don't want to have to deal with this tooth hurting. But no! in his expert opinion, delivered with a side of "vacant eyes" he decided to remove the existing filling, clean out the decay under the filling and replace it with another filling. Then I was told to come back if it still hurts. Needless to say, this bandaid, sham of a treatment took away the pain that was keeping me up at night but my tooth remained sensitive to cold and pressure. I couldn't eat ice cream or finish a cold drink without my mouth catching on fire and I started chewing hard foods on the other side of my mouth. So here I am, currently pregnant and guess what has started to keep me up at night once again? This damned tooth. I think I've been more than patient with this practice; I'm done with being abused by Comfort Dental. Go somewhere else if you want to be treated like a basic human being! read more

Worst dentist ever!! I went for a cleaning & to have my wisdom teeth looked at & left with metal fillings that I didn't need. I was told they needed to seal some things to prevent cavities..they never said they were going to use horrible hideous metal & now this is stuck in my mouth. I checked with my regular dentist who is over an hour away & confirmed this was unneeded. THEY FILLED LITTLE GROOVES THAT COULD TURN INTO A CAVITY WITH METAL!! They RUINED my teeth!! They are liars & did the worst job even with my cleaning!!! I have been crying about this for hours,I hate this place! These people are the worst & did it just to bill my insurance! Now my teeth are ugly,I have always even gotten white fillings,I can't believe they did this. But what can I do now?!? I'm so angry!! Contacting the BBB & my lawyer! Also,going to a REAL dentist! In 2016 I had a 10 year old filling fall out and did not want to drive 1 1/2 hours to that dentist so I went to local Delaware Comfort Dental. The dentist drilled out more of my tooth, then a VERY young girl did the filling, I felt maybe she was just learning. Well the filling never did feel right and a month later I was feeling some pain in that tooth so I went back. This pompous dentist says "I told you you need a root canal" I said no you did not and he got kinda mean so since I did not have $450 for a root canal, I left. Well sure enough, less than a year later, this same nasty filling falls out. I go to a different dentist and he shakes his head and says all I can do now is bridge cause the dentist had drilled my tooth down to nothing. He recommend I go back to get some help from Comfort Dental. So I went to Comfort Dental and this dentist never even looks in my mouth and says I told you before, you need root canal and says he never guaranteed the filling would stay. I have never known anyone that had a filling last less than a year but I will not be going back to that place. Also it is dirty and the place seems run down and nasty smells. STAY AWAY read more

There is a 1 star google review from 5 ( yes 5!) years ago that I could have written myself & paid attention to in the first place . I made an appointment for the orthodontist for my daughter 2 weeks in advance. I was asked to come early to do paperwork. So we arrived 15 minutes early to a very small waiting Ron that had a certain odor and chairs with stains all over them. We signed in a and waited for 15 minutes to even see someone on the staff. Them I was handed paperwork to fill out while they shouted over my head to another woman who was there for an evaluation like us but had no appointment that they had no idea how they would fit her in. Meanwhile there is rough housing with the staff behind the counter as 6 other people walk in and are not acknowledged. Then I hear someone on staff shout, "I'm getting a runny nose great! " We waited another 20 minutes past our appointment time. Then they call the woman in who came in after us for the same reason but she had no appointment before us (who had an appointment.) She didn't even fill out paperwork! I stood up and asked why. The girl said she didn't know. My spidey senses told me not to when I stepped though the door and took a sniff. I figured I should follow them by this point and left. No one apologized or anything they just snottily told me, "Sorry. " People, your front desk or the person who is the initial contact for your business sets the precedent. If those people aren't warm and welcoming then I have to wonder who they work for that hired this personality and thought they were O. K. Make and appointment at your own risk. read more

Great dentist practice. Dr. Riggs is fantastic and gives nitrous if you ask for it. You don't "pay" for expensive furniture and fish tanks etc. you pay for the good dental care. read more

They just don't listen. went in to have a tooth pulled, but they filled it instead, which would make it the third time this tooth has been filled. didn't use anesthetic where they drilled and filled the tooth. pulled a different tooth. Told me it would only take one hour, took three hours. kept leaving me in the chair for 20-30 minutes at a time. left me choking on my own mixture of spit, blood, and phlegm. add in all the anesthetic that numbed my throat. took two dentists to break loose one tooth. "pretty strong roots" i think it didn't need to be pulled. asked me if vicodin was okay. i told them no multiple times vicodin hasn't worked for my since i was 16, i need percocets. its not like this was my first time at the rodeo, but needless to say i was given a script for tic tacs (thats what i call vicodin cause vicodin sucks and is weak and doesn't work, percocets are the curiously strong Altoids pain killer) Overall, i think i need to rethink where i go, something tells me this place is prime example of the following joke - "What do you call a man who gets a d- in dental school (or medical school or whatever have you)?" the answer - "A dentist!!!!!!" read more
