I came to know Dr. Zinderman and Comfort Care after our Siberian Husky, Zoe, had surgery to repair her torn ACL and crushed MCL. Cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Z. He clearly loves animals. He provided a comprehensive program that included laser treatment, strength building, and underwater treadmill therapy. We may own one of the few Siberians who hates water so I warned him that most likely Zoe would not be able to do the treadmill. Boy was I wrong. He assured me we would take it easy and slowly introduce her to the water. Come to find out she absolutely loved the treadmill and putting her to work on it was one of the best things for her recovery. As for the water, she could of cared less she was shoulder deep in it as long as she could walk. The key to Zoe's recovery was what Dr. Z taught me in terms of daily exercise and strength conditioning for her at home. To this day, we still do her exercises twice a day. In fact, Zoe demands it. I cannot thank Dr. Zinderman enough for helping us get Zoe back to her lovable and highly energetic self. I would highly recommend his services. read more

We decided that physical rehab for our dog was the way to go after her knee surgery. We weren't sure how she'd react and how she'd do with more new people as our dog has some anxiety and being comfortable around new people. Dr. Zinderman, along with his experienced and compassionate staff, continues to help our dog through this process. She becomes more at ease and is definitely getting stronger each week! The laser therapy, physical rehab exercises, and water treadmill therapy are the best thing we could have done for her along with choosing to come here. I had my chocolate lab Casey for 13 years. Her health took a turn for e worse being diagnosed with bone cancer. After much consultation we called Dr. Zinderman to come to our house to euthanize our beloved girl. He came in the evening and our whole family was present. Dr. Zinderman enabled us to allow Casey to pass in the comfort of our own home and family present without the stress usually associated with a vets office. He was incredibly professional, patient and compassionate to Casey and entire family. I will never forget his compassion and help in easing this most difficult decision. Really, I have had vets that I have been more or less fond of through the years, but Dr. Zinderman's compassion, advice, and thoroughness with my 12 year old Doberman Rhema were outstanding, the best vet experience I have had in his 12 years of his life. Dr. Zinderman came to our residence in Detroit and spent nearly 2 hours listing to my questions, providing a thorough examination, and a comprehensive treatment plan. The worst part about caring for an aging dog is feeling helpless when they begin to deteriorate and you are unsure how best to alleviate their pain or improve their function and quality of life . While other vets offer treatments an diagnostics, Dr. Zinderman does that and so much more. Dr. Zinderman provided me with a whole host of strategies to use in the future. Also, realizing that I would not be able to make the trek to Canton, he coached me through a simple rehab regimen that I can perform on Rhema at the house to help improve his mobility and comfort. Dr. Zinderman really does provide 'care' for your pet, and frankly 'care' for us humans who love our pets and who struggle with the emotions and concerns that go along with caring for our aging best friends. We have three very active working dogs, we called Dr. Zinderman when one of our dogs began to limp. He was very gentle and really took the time to figure out what was going on. He was great at explaining things and made us and the dog feel at ease. With his treatments and some rehab work our boy is doing great!
