While we waited they put on skate videos for our entertainment, on their old school tube tv, and made us feel welcomed. The owner came in later, chatted with the both of us, and gave my daughter some stickers and magazines. As a previous skater during the Tony Hawk days, this brought back good memories.

It's a small local business that has been run by the same owner, Sal, since 2001, and now his son works alongside him -- a true family business and honestly part of what makes this place so special. Today my son and I stopped by to have our piercing jewelry changed, and as always, the experience was fast, friendly, and incredibly clean. I was genuinely impressed (yet again) by the hygiene practices and professionalism throughout the entire process. There's a reason I've been coming here for over two decades. I first started coming to Orbit around 2000/2001 with just two piercings. By 2005, I had 28 piercings, and now I'm down to 8 -- but Orbit has remained my go-to through every phase. The shop stays busy, and for good reason. If you go, be prepared to wait, especially during the after-3pm rush or weekends. But the level of knowledge, the environment, and the overall experience make it completely worth it. One thing I really appreciate is that they genuinely care about their clients instead of rushing people in and out. It can get hectic at times -- one person may start helping you and another may jump in a few minutes later -- but they work together so seamlessly that it feels like one continuous experience. My feet don't fit the stock Riedell and Jackson boots, and I've been disappointed after visiting other shops. During my visit to A&G, George (the G of A&G) fitted me in a split-width SP-Teri boot, which is narrower in heel than ball of feet. I couldn't believe how well they fit! I felt like Cinderella finally putting on my long-lost glass slipper. As a beginning skater, the skates were more expensive than I was hoping to pay, but I know they will make up for it in the reduction of pain and hopefully faster improvement. If the SP-Teri's don't fit, they also have Riedell and Jackson brand boots. Definitely check out this skate shop. I'll definitely come here again for all my future sharpenings and skating needs.
