Starting to see some struggles from the back room. Have had to return pants about three times in the last 4/5 months. Late for a meeting today because for some reason it made sense press slacks w/ the legs spread flat, removing the crease from the front/back and adding it on the inseam/outside seam. Had to take them back to be redone. Have used Comet a long time. Looking at other options but at the very least, will unbag and inspect items before I leave from now on. Kids up front are always great. Back room crew needs some polish. read more

This place provides the WORST customer service of any dry cleaner I've used in 40 years. I've given them more chances than they deserve in hopes that they will improve, but it's just built into their DNA, and I'm done trying. Just three examples: 1) Staff is indifferent. No one smiles. Ever. No one cares to serve the customer. 2) One gentleman in particular challenged me, the customer, when I pointed out that they sewed a new button on (after I pointed it out to them that they tore it off), but the button didn't match the others. And this was a basic, regular, everyday button plastic white/clear button that would be on an average dress shirt. When I pointed out that they sewed on a new one that did not match and asked them to do it again, he asked me "how do I know you won't come back again and say the new one doesn't match?" Like this is all I have to do in life is go to a dry cleaner's to complain about buttons?! Unbelievable. And this person is on the front lines representing the company. 3) They are in the habit of dry cleaning shirts that I want laundered, claiming that it will protect the item from shrinking. I give the permission to launder the items - I'm even willing to sign a waiver saying I don't care if they shrink the item (these are basic primarily cotton shirts). They acknowledge that they will just launder, then they ultimately charge me for dry cleaning! This place has a deeply engrained sense of entitlement, and does not put the customer first. I get it that it can be a fine line with the quality of dry cleaning versus customer expectations, but I'm setting a pretty low bar here and they're crawling under it. I don't care how far I have to go when passing Comet Cleaners to get to a dry cleaner I like, but I'm done hoping they will provide a different experience. read more

I don't know what the issue is, but every time I get some item dry cleaned here, it shrinks. The manager blames on the clothes :)

I brought 2 brand new unworn white shirts in after purchasing and when I picked them up, one of them looked cream/brown tie-dyed, like it was washed in dirty solution and it was also dry and brittle instead of the silky stretchy material it came in as. They completely ruined my $100 dress shirt and refused to refund or take any responsibility for it. The same thing happened with a blue shirt I brought in. It was brand new and when I picked it up it looked like there were coffee stains on it. Again, this was a brand new shirt and it did not have these stains when I purchased it. I took both these shirts to another cleaner who said they cannot be fixed but that they're happy to try cleaning them for free just to try and help. Comet knows they screwed up and refuses to take responsibility. They cost me $200 in shirts plus a cleaning fee. I will never come back. There are other reputable cleaners (who are also cheaper) who offer better service and still have a drive-through drop off/pick up service. I highly recommend you try anywhere else but here first. read more

The previous reviews are right on about service. My issue is with pricing. I took in 7 men's dress shirts and 4 of them had to be dry cleaned at $4.97ea vs $1.97ea because they contained 2% Lycra/spandex. I'd never heard that before but went ahead. After doing some research afterwards, laundering such small percentage of Lycra/spandex is not a problem. Furthermore, once I got home I looked at each shirt and the instructions say to wash (nothing about dry cleaning). I feel like they should (and do) know this and are simply gouging. read more

If I could give one star I would. I would not recommend coming here unless you would like your clothes stained and destroyed. The management here will not take ownership if they discolor your clothing. They will offer to fix it and make it worse. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. read more

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE TO DO THE RIGHT THING. My loss - over $400 for three cashmere sweaters. Comet's response - we'll refund your cleaning costs ($18 or so) and give you $50 in cleaning credit (as if I would trust them). I took six sweaters in for cleaning, got six back in tissue, in the sealed plastic packets inside the long plastic sheets. (The other three were mine.) That was late Spring and I didn't open the bags until early Fall. They gave me three of some other person's sweaters - a cashmere with a hole in the front, a cheap Old Navy sweater and an out of date woman's cashmere sweater. After a number of trips, giving them the other person's sweaters (with the little labels stapled to the tags) and original receipts, they decided they couldn't look up the transaction and find who got my sweaters. (Either they have a cheap computer system, people who don't know how to back up files, or no initiative.) "Sorry, we'll refund the cleaning and give you cleaning credit." I told them that was not reasonable and I wanted to speak to the owner. Stonewalled! Each time the "manager" would only say, "the owner said." I have tried to find the owner through Comet corporate. Stonewalled! I judge a business by what it does when there is a problem. FAIR WARNING: Be careful in dealing with them. If you have a problem, do not expect them to step up to what they have done. read more

Do not entrust these folks with expensive garments. Brought clothes there as a regular customer this year. They dry cleaned an expensive blouse a couple of times, not old and brand new in care. This last time it came back damaged (the texture and color). Owner refused to reimburse for the blouse and tried to pull a "how do I know this was cleaned here" despite the fact that he's seen me before and his system shows me as a regular customer... stating there's a label adhesive for another cleaners on the side of the garment... even though HIS tag and hanger was on the garment. SMH. Informed him, which wasn't even necessary, that the adhesive labeling is why I quit going to the other cleaners and that, those stickers are on ALL of my clothes. He tried to play the stupid role, which maybe he is, to get out of the reimbursement, knowing good and well they cleaned and damaged the garment. 5 thumbs down for horrible service. I came in with a giant bag of shirt laundry almost near closing (I know totally not ok, I felt horrible about it, I didn't realize till I got there STOP JUDGING ME!) and the whole team did such a great job understanding what I needed and taking care of me. Amazing customer service & perfect dry cleaning! I called with many questions prior to going here. You can hear in Scott's voice how happy he was to answer all my questions and do whatever needed to ensure that I was able to get what I needed done - on the same day!! When I met Scott, he was just as amazing in person. The location is clean and set up so nicely! Free coffee, nice table and chairs waiting area, drive thru and such pleasant staff too!! Of course, my dry cleaning came out perfect too :) I cannot rave about this place enough. Go see for yourself. I pass a lot of cleaners to get there but there is no reason to try anywhere else! Started visiting this location in April 2016 when I moved to this area. I can only say the owner/manger knows what right looks like. All the employees are dressed very neat and clean. I have never been to a dry cleaner so professional. This store is crisp you can't find anything that doesn't have a home. Spotless!! The organization you can see when you walk in the door. I haven't seen the lady who helped me on day 1 it's like they have a lot of employees. Not one time have they been less than perfect. They even let you in 5 minutes after close and that's unheard of ... The fact that they do this time and time again lets me know they care. Later folks read more

This is the worst clean service, they destroyed my woolen coats and all sweaters, and when I get back to argue, the store manager keeps saying it is the material of the clothes and not their fault to make the pieces pilling off, and I'm getting my lawyer to sue this company, and also the guy who called himself "owner"is kicking me out of the store after I don't accept his refund solutions, this is not a simple clothes destroyed issue now, he took my clothes and walked me out, I didn't not realize what was going on and until he got around my car and he was threatening me to throw my clothes on my car if I don't open the car, and I asked him if you are kicking me out of store? He said yes, this is not the way to treat your customer and I feel mentally insulted, there is no legal right that they can kick me out of the store so I'm going back to see the real owner, if Scott you are not the same person that I met yesterday, this issue is not ended, and I'm going back to see if I can get better solutions, if not, I'm using legal way to fight again my rights. read more
