I love this streaming service. Not only does it offer hundreds of incredibly talented and…read morehilarious comedians, but all shows are "family friendly" so the whole family can enjoy! And due to their unique business model, it is VERY AFFORDABLE. I'll be the first to admit I didn't think "family friendly" comedy would be nearly as good as "adult comedy" ... but I was promptly schooled. "Family friendly" does not mean knock-knock jokes or jokes without innuendo/subtext ... I laughed so hard I HURT. A wonderful surprise and a testament to the amazing talent on this channel. Instead of paying $15 month or $150 year like many other services, as of the date of this post they offer two very affordable tiers: a low monthly rate (under $7) OR an annual subscription which is crazy CHEAP ($40 a year!). They help to keep overhead low by allowing comedians to accept on-screen TIPS from viewers. This encourages each comedian to bring their A Game -- the harder the laughs the higher the tips :-) What a novel idea! I started with a monthly plan to see if I'd find the time to watch it, with most shows lasting about 20 minutes. I found belly-laughs a great way to start my day, so quickly upgraded to the Annual Plan. I've been enjoying these shows SO MUCH that I'm actually planning a trip to attend the live taping of a show! I highly recommend everyone check out this amazing channel. After all "laughter is the best medicine."

You even have the option to play scavenger hunt games to win small prizes. There are also lots of interactive pieces in the exhibit, so I recommend bringing some hand sanitizer. Our favorite part was Bob, the talking fish who can talk to you in real time using AI. Plan on at least an hour for this experience, but more if you want to do all of the quests and searches they have. I'm minusing a star because it was beyond irritating to make a reservation. You have to give them your physical address, phone number, email, and birthday, including day, month and year. You also had to sign a waiver. When you go to places like Lagoon you don't need to sign a waiver. This place is literally just walking around. They should do something where you agree to their terms when you buy the ticket and don't have to sign a waiver. Also, even though we bought our tickets in advance, we still had to wait in line with all of the people buying their tickets at the entrance, so buying ahead didn't save any time. We had to wait for 40 minutes to actually begin the experience. In a nutshell, if you've been to Disneyland, this place is like waiting in line at Disneyland.

This cozy venue packs a punch and does a fantastic job of hosting musical events. The ushers are friendly and efficient-they made sure to get people in and out timely so we could enjoy the show and then be on with our lives. My only complaint, as shared by others, is the parking situation. There's not much by way of street parking and what is available gets gobbled up quickly. As long as the nearby businesses don't mind sharing, you can park a block away and walk. No big deal when the weather is nice.

Unfortunately, I find that they typically are hitting miss with their performances, and certainly a long ways off from the ideal gallery space for (artist) in the community. I wish they would approach things with a more professional eye and pain as much attention to the visual arts as they do to the performing stages. As you come in to the left where they used to be Brian kershisnik's work is now a mishmash of photos on canvas that are not in a professional way in few of them if any of our level. Is this lack of detail that make it less than it should be to really be an advocate for the arts.

However, I appreciate the uniqueness of the small businesses and the slower pace. Sure, I miss the occasional cocktail, but I also don't mind dry entertainment. Last night's adventure brought me to a live music event here at Velour. I did a little research ahead of time and learned that seating is extremely limited, as is the parking. So come early, in comfy shoes, and set your expectations accordingly. The ambience inside is sort of dark, moody and intimate. There's a dramatic feel to the place, without any (obvious) drama. Doors didn't open until 6:30, and there was a line along the sidewalk of folks waiting to get in. That added to the "big city" feel of the place, even for a not-so-big city. The acoustics were good, if not a tad loud. (Yup, I'm showing my age.) The lighting was colorful and energetic, not just a boring stagnant few slights. I would likely return to see a lively act that I'm really interested in-someone that I wouldn't mind standing in a crowd of people to watch.

We were gonna try all of them, but as I smelled more and more scents, it was too much for me. I suggest not trying everything but just smell the ones you're interested in (maybe even like 30-40, but definitely not all). The process for making the candle was actually really simple. It took less than 10 minutes to make it, but at least 7 days for it to set. Also, make sure you can come back within 2 weeks to pick up the candle. Otherwise, it will be donated! The service was definitely 5/5! The staff were so friendly, and one offered to help us take photos at the end! Overall, I had a great experience at Wick Lab. However, it is pretty expensive (~$22 for one candle). Going there once to try it out was good enough for me, and I probably won't go back because of the price. FYI, make sure you make a reservation early if you plan to go there. I passed by the place twice before without a reservation, and unfortunately, it was full both times :( But it really depends on when you go. You can check the availability on their website.

A few things that could be improved: 1. There is no seating at the front with the exception of a wooden bench and had cobwebs all over it and looked like you'd get a splinter in your booty if you sat. So sorry folks, standing room only until you get some help. The bathroom wasn't super clean and seemed a bit run down compared to the rest of the place. 2. After we picked our scents, we noticed they were out of the cheapest choice (clear candle holders). We asked if they had anymore and they simply said "no sorry" and thus we were basically forced to default to the more expensive option. This was 430pm on a Saturday. It'd be nice if they were better prepared with stock, especially if they take reservations like we had. 3. Your experience building your candle will weigh heavily with your chandler that you receive. Ours happened to be pretty blunt and didn't smile much. The couple next to us seemed to have a bit more fun with their friendly and talkative chandler. BUT we had each other so we just made the best of it! 4. One of the gals working literally ate a sandwich in front of everyone behind the candle making counter. It doesn't seem they have a break room but that kinda of killed the vibe and experience. All that said, they really have something going here, I mean it's a great idea and fun little niche. My husband said when he went to pick up our candles the staff was much more lively and friendly so maybe they were just having an off day, who knows. We would definitely come again and give it another go! I'd like to bring my Aunts next time they visit! As far as the candles, they don't have the best throw. It's definitely not comparable to BBW candles type of throw but I think the fact that it was made by you it's just what makes them fun and special! The cold sniff smells great though!
