Turns out that the more lines you add, the less each line costs. My previous provider was Tracfone (which has a limited service area and very slow internet search capabilities). I was paying more for that service per month than the additional cost of adding a line to my existing Verizon service.

The gentleman on the phone gave me instructions as to what to return and sent me a label for the modem that I needed to ship back. All I had to do was package the modem, put the label on and take it to a Fed Ex drop off. Shipping was paid for by WOW. I was given the prorated bill to be paid and everything with this cancellation went smoothly. Thank you WOW!

Overall, WOW needs to simplify its cancellation process, be upfront about fees, and improve its support system. The current experience feels intentionally exploitative. I retracted all my recommendations I had given out this year. Service constantly goes out, and I have to call to have my box rebooted at least once a week. They have replaced my router and re-wired everything, and it still doesn't work majority of the time. Since they don't have any answers they start blaming the customer. All my friends and neighbors are having the same issues. I'm currently looking into another option. Run from this company as fast as u can!!
