I left my bike there for 8 days to have it lowered 1 1/2 inch and to have the oil changed. They lowered it so low that when I sat on it and bounced the shock would hit the stop, they had to redo it which seemed to piss the mechanic off, I asked them if they measured it and they said no, they wanted me to ride it like that for a while and I refused. Also had the oil changed and when I got it home which is 7 miles from Combat Cycles, I checked the oil and it was completely black, I was at the shop first thing the next morning to confront Jim about this and was told that the mechanic said it was changed and sometimes the oil will be black. I stopped by the Harley dealership and showed them the oil and the mechanic there said it looked to be (1000 mile) oil and was suspect that it had been changed, however Combat Cycle did put a new oil filter on to filter the black oil. I changed the oil myself today and rode some, came back home check the oil and it was clear. I would have given 0 stars but that's not available. Really glad I found this place. They have a lot of really cool classic and custom motorcycles on display usually outside or in their showroom. I took my Harley Street Bob here to have tires put on, and have the spoke wheels powder coated gloss black. Though it took a little longer than expected, the final product is beautiful, the customer service was friendly, and I would definitely go back if I was staying in the area. They have very fair pricing, and are very knowledgeable. read more

Brought my bike in for two new tires. "Simple" job, right? 2014 HD CVO Softail Breakout, I contacted the owner, Jim Moran, to do the work and he told me no problem. I supplied the tires, only needed installation. Long story short.....picked up my bike and rode it home, about 40 mins. It felt "wonky" but he did warn me new tires can be "slippery and need a break in period". A few days later, after a semi-long ride with the gf and checking & filling tire pressures prior, I check tires for pressure at home. 2 psi, yes, TWO psi on the front. I find SIX leaks around the rim, one huge. Lucky my girl and I didn't crash on the ride as pressure went from 42 to 2 in about 45 seconds. The only reason we are still alive is the low profile of the tires maintaining rigidity. After having new tires installed at another (reputable) mechanic, it was found the tire had four tears (rips) in the bead and gouge marks in the rim. Went to court to recoup financial losses (had to buy matching new tires and labor) and won yet Moran not paying up. I wish I could include pics and video in this review. Best bike shop in town! From a simple tune up to accessorizing, this is your spot! Customer service isn't what you think here! You're treated like family the moment you walk in. Jim is awesome! If he doesn't have the answer, give him a minute and he either finds it or someone knows what's up. Even more awesome, he remembers you and your bike! Even with a shop full of bikes, these guys go out of the way to help you when you come in the door. It almost feels like there isn't a line. Awesome atmosphere, awesome mechanics, awesome place! These guys won't BS you or mess with your wallet. They are all about getting you and your ride back on the road! Had my tire replaced and discovered they broke the tire pressure monitor during the process after I reinstalled the wheel. I was initially impressed by the fact they didn't question it when I told them it was no longer working. I brought the bike back up, they pulled the tire and investigated, at no cost. They removed and agreed to order a new monitor and replace when it arrives. When it arrived, I sent the wheel up with my wife to have it replaced, but they didn't have the hardware they needed to do the replacement. I reinstalled the wheel again, while I waited for them to order the hardware they needed. After it came, I brought the bike back up, again, and had it replaced. They told me my bike would automatically detect the new TPMS (Not true). On the ride home it still wasn't reading correctly. I read forums and looked through manuals to see what else could be wrong. I discovered they need to program the serial number of the new TPMS into the ECU. I called Combat Cycles to get the serial number since it's installed inside the tire, but they didn't write it down or keep records. They also don't have the computer to program the ECU. I have to go to Jacksonville, again, to Lejeune Honda, and have them remove the wheel, look at the serial number, and pay $65 for labor. Then they can program my ECU for me. Combat cycles offered to pay half. With a 35 minute ride each way, and making 4 trips, and then having to still pay more out of pocket, it seems like bad business to me. I appreciate the initial effort, but if your shop breaks something, it should take full responsibility to return my bike back to the condition it was before I showed up. Note to customers, if it's a powersports bike, take it to a powersports dealer. It would have cost me less in the long run and it would have been done in one trip. read more

I dropped my bike off here for a tune up after a 7 month det to Afghanistan, and before I PCS'd to Yuma AZ. I got it back quickly everyone seemed nice, however the bike never ran right after the tune up was done there. It would sputter and backfire, lacked power. Instead of taking it back I made the mistake of PCSing as I just did not have alot of time. Once in Yuma I blew a head gasket within minutes of riding. The temp was 80 degrees and dry. I took it to a well respected mechanic out here in AZ who I know and trust, he noticed head bolts were loose, the drive belt was not adjusted properly, the gas tank was so loose it almost came off etc.basically who ever touched it last did a half ass job and a very quick one at that. I ride a 2006 bigdog mastiff S&S 117. I am not saying the whole business is bad I did have a good experience there when I broke a clutch cable on the road. Just be careful on who works on your bike there and go over it with a fine tooth comb when you pick it up. I only put 65 miles on it from tune up to blown head gaskets front and back, so it wasnt something that rattled loose over time. I do pre maintenance on it as I am suppose to, I am usually very particular about my ride. Like I said, they hooked me up when I broke a clutch cable, picked me up on the side of the road and took care of me even gave me a ride home. But what damage could have happened to my bike due to lazy engine work is not cool at all. Beware of this one. read more
