My husband and I had the worst experience with the Redlands Golf Galaxy Store. Saturday morning we…read moregolfed and my husband's Ping driver shaft broke right after he hit the ball. No biggie he thought he'd just take it back to Golf Galaxy in Redlands where he purchased less than 4 months ago. That's was our big mistake purchasing it from Golf Galaxy in Redlands. Lee, the Store Manager accused my husband of breaking the club intentionally by snapping it half. All my husband asked for was a new shaft not a new club just the shaft since it was in the one year warranty time frame. Lee could have given my husband a shaft off the shelf and shipped the broken shaft back to Ping no skin off this Company teeth just ship it back. But No Lee refused to assist my husband in obtaining a replacement shaft unless he purchased it. Well my husband and Lee went round and round about just replacing the shaft. Ultimately he asked my husband to leave the store and even after my husband explained to Lee he had a competitive tournament next week Lee was not moved. That's where I come in. We still had a broken shaft so I called Golf Galaxy corporate spoke with a really nice and helpful guy he advised me in order to get it replaced we would have to take the shaft to an authorized dealer. For me it was either Golf Galaxy 5 mins away or Roger Dunn 30 min away. Well there was my mistake I too had little conversation with Lee. He was the rudest Manager I've ever met. He accused my husband of slamming his broken shaft on the equipment repair counter at the back of the store and then he changed his story to my husband slamming it into the palm of an employee causing injury by leaving splinters. That's when it gets interesting. Then he said he had it on video. Well shot if my husband truly did this of course I'd want to see the video. So I said show me the video I want to see this video. When I said this his demeanor changed. I then realized this dude is lying to me to shut me up. Well he didn't want to show me the video and when I confronted him about lying to my husband about not being able to find the sale in his records, telling my husband it was his first day there at the store then changing it to being there 10 years he became agitated. We went around and around about customer service or lack there of and I told him how Roger Dunn would not treat there customers like this he told me to just go to Roger Dunn. I told him No we purchased the club there and I wasn't driving 35 minutes to Roger Dunn. He inferred he did not have to replace the shaft . He said once we make a sale it's on the customer. Finally he took the shaft but said there was no guarantee that Ping would honor there warranty because where the shaft broke. I explained to him again I was there and witnessed the shaft breaking. Husband hit the ball shaft broke and that's what happened end of story. He handed me a receipt for the broken shaft and here I am just a frustrated as can be. Lee needs to take a class in Customer Relationship and maybe do some mentoring with the Upland Store Manager we didn't get his name but great customer service skills.

I never thought that I would ever review a Big 5 in my life…read more But I just met Fishing Ollivander at this Big 5 and he helped me find the fishing rod. Or, I guess, the wand chooses the wizard, Harry. He spent time going through different rods with me. Then he pretended to be types of big fish and trained me to use my hip to catch said assorted fish. When I found my ideal wand / rod ... it was magical. Next came the reel and it was almost as expensive as a PS4. But my very own Fishing Ollivander recommended it. And I'm not some filthy muggle. Hooks? Done. Once inside the store, I noticed employees hard at work stocking shelves. I appreciated being asked by an employee if I needed assistance not too long after entering the store. I like that all sport area are clearly labeled although I think was annoyed that I was unable to locate running items since there was no clearly marked running section of the store;the closest I could come to finding running related items was in the fitness section. Another minor annoyance was that although there were boxes throughout the store, they were completely out of hand warmer packets. The store is vey well laid out and is great for most sports enthusiasts but if you're someone who's main sport is running, you'll definitely have to look elsewhere for running supplies.
