I'll admit, the first time I came in to look at new countertops, I had to scout out an employee myself because they were all sitting in the back and no one came to see if I needed anything. Not a huge deal because it doesn't take much effort to go find someone but just thought I'd point it out because it was a common theme in other reviews. That part is true-the employees could take more initiative to seek out new customers just so they know they are noticed. But the designer I worked with, Brandi was excellent. We were able to knock out every detail of my countertops and I felt really good about the process. I came back in one time to finalize the deal and ended up buying one of their pieces in the back. It was discounted and still in great condition so I thought why not. Anyway, I had come with my mom and grandma and I'm not a very big person myself, but we were just planning on c setting it out. One of the guys who worked there offered to carry it for us and get it in the truck, which was super helpful and kind. The day that they came to install the countertop, they were on time, polite, and did an excellent job installing everything as well as answering my questions. I'm 24 and a first time homeowner so a lot of this stuff is over my head but they were patient and answered all my questions thoroughly. Not only that, but they went above and beyond in making sure the countertop was perfect, even rehanging cabinets that were crooked per the previous owner. I didn't like the old countertop because it was ugly and poorly done but seeing some real professionals install this new countertop was super encouraging. They also installed the new cabinet I had bought on discount in the back and extended the countertop. I was SUPER impressed with the final result and I'm so glad I used Copper River! I would definitively recommend them to anyone trying to redo your home. The prices were great, the workers are professional, and the product is fantastic! Thanks so much Copper River for the great experience!

We placed granite countertop which was supplied by Dark Star Marble & Granite of Fort Wayne. We were told that granite is pretty much indestructible, but we are still diligent in taking care of the countertop. We don't cut anything without a cutting board and if we use a "hot" appliance, we place a "heat guard" underneath the appliance. The other day, I noticed a three-inch or so jagged scratch/crack in the middle of the island counter. I called Windows, Doors and More and Katie asked me to send a picture so I did. She forwarded the picture to Dark Star. Katie called me back today. Without even making an effort to come out and look at the countertop, Katie was told by Dark Star to tell me to buy a red sharpie (our countertop is red) and just fill in the scratch/crack. Really? This is the solution? I spent a little too much money on this countertop to accept this as a solution. I feel there is a flaw in the countertop and wonder how many other scratches/cracks are going to show up over the years. If the scratch/crack can't be fixed, then why should I not expect the countertop to be replaced? I have called Dark Star and am waiting for a return call. I am hoping that they will make this right and I will either continue this review at a later date if they do make it right or will write another one if they make it right. I will also gladly change my rating if things change. Stay tuned... 11-29-18 I just received a call from Katie at Windows, Doors and More and Dark Star has let her know they are willing to come out and look at the scratch/crack. Someone from Dark Star called me a little later and said they would come out on Dec 14 to look at the scratch/crack. I need to be home between 9am and 3pm and they will call when they are on their way. I agreed, but said I thought the six-hour window is unacceptable. Today is the day someone from Dark Star is supposed to come look at my countertop. (Remember the six-hour window.) It is now 3 1/2 hours into the six-hour window. And now...6 minutes after the 6-hour window has come and gone, NO ONE SHOWED UP. No one called to tell me they were not able to make it today, they just DIDN'T SHOW UP. I changed my rating from 2 stars to one and would make it zero if I could. I changed many other plans today to make sure I could be here in their 6-hour window and am really not happy at all. I decided to drive over to the Dark star store. I walked in and introduced myself and said I had waited at home and cancelled other appointments and no one showed up. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that Corey was out on an install. The receptionist informed me that everyone was on an install and she didn't know anything about it. I said a woman from dark star called me and set up the 6-hour window for them to come look at my countertop. The receptionist said I was on the book and they just couldn't get there. I asked if she could call someone so I could talk with them and she said no. She said she was not going to interrupt them while they were on an install. I told her I have had many workers at my house who have gotten calls from their shop while they were working and still she refused to call. I told her I felt her company obviously thought customer service was not very important once they were paid and had their money. She said "here's Corey's card if you want to call him" I did call him. It was about 4pm when I called him. He told me they were busy and couldn't make it. He asked what I wanted him to do about it. I said I would like someone at my house tomorrow (Saturday) morning. He said that was not going to happen because they don't make service calls on Saturday morning. He said they would get to it when they could get to it. I said it would have been nice to get a phone call to let me know they were not going to make it. He told me they called a few minutes ago to which I said "do you realize how much past 3:00 a few minutes ago is?" He did not seem to care. (I then texted him after we hung up to let him know either they called the wrong number or someone lied to him about calling me because I had no missed calls or voicemails. No reply from him). Then he seemed to get angry with me and said it was a three-year-old countertop that I have scratched and now I wanted them to take responsibility. I told him we did not scratch the countertop. We always use a cutting board and when we use a hot appliance, we always put a heat sheet underneath it. I told him even though we were told the countertop is indestructible, we treat it like it is not. I told him we take care of it like we spent $5000 on it...because we did! He said that he KNOWS we scratched it and it is not possible that it is a defect.

Check. Lumber? Check. Christmas trees? Check. You get the point. It's ALL there. There are even items we find at Menard's that we can't find elsewhere (our favorite dog treats we can only find here.) (That is to say, our DOG'S favorite dog treats we can only find here. We don't eat them, that would be weird.) This store is massive and it's easy to get turned around in the center aisles. The garden center is outstanding during garden center season, and we bought 6 crepe myrtles there which are thriving in our back yard. The staff has always been helpful and I think everybody that works there knows where just about everything is. More often than not they'll take you to what you're looking for instead of casually waving you in the direction you need to go. They almost always have a 11% rebate offer going on, which is great when you go back. Heck, they even have the rebate forms right there at the checkout to make it easy for you. Fill out the form, mail it in with a copy of your receipt, and in a couple weeks you get a rebate form that you'll turn right around and spend in their store. Speaking of money (which we only marginally were), the prices at Menard's a pretty frikkin' reasonable. Like any merchant, prices can be higher or lower on various items, but we find that the prices here are generally lower than other hardware/building supply/general merchandise locations. My only real complaint is that they can be slow to realize that the need to open more registers. On our last visit there were two registers open and the lines were literally 12 to 15 customers deep (I counted). It made me wonder if I was at Walmart or if I was at Menard's. That tends to be the exception and not the rule, so don't that dissuade you from shopping there. If you haven't been to Menard's it's time to give it a try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. We may even see you there on Menard's weekend!

After leaving a very positive review last year it pains me to update this, but based on my…read moreexperience with Bob's over the past few months, I will no longer consider shopping with Bob's and I certainly don't want to encourage others to shop with Bob's given my experience regardless of how well things started. I ordered a significant amount of furniture for my home, my daughter's home, and my wife's office last year. And, as I stated before, I found the sales people helpful and the deliveries positive. But, WOW...Bob's service department is a complete mess. I had a very simple issue with my touch lights not working on a headboard I called about in January. First, they made me wait two weeks for a tech to come out and confirm what I already knew...the control box on the back has gone bad. Then I waited several more weeks before calling to find out when they were going to come out and fix it only to find out the part was delayed. They said they would cancel that order and order it again with a rush and have it within a week and after another two weeks of not hearing from them, I called again only to be told it wouldn't be in until May. Then they decided they would just bring an entire new headboard out, which just seemed silly given I only needed the box on the back, but I agreed and scheduled for today...another two weeks from that call. I was given a 3 hour window, then a message saying they would be an hour later than the window, and then called at the end of the hour later to hear it would still be even longer, which at this point would not work do to evening engagements. At one point, I tried to call and a person answered on their customer service line and proceeded to laugh for several moments before hanging up on me. When I finally did talk with a supervisor, my only resolution was canceling today's headboard and per my strong request, simply have the part shipped to me and I would fix it myself. Of course, no timeframe offered for when the part would get here and at this point I really don't expect it to arrive at all. Bottom line...no matter how helpful the sales staff is and the initial deliveries are, if I can't trust that any issues that come up with my guaranteed merchandise will be taken care of promptly and appropriately, I simply will not do business with them and I would encourage everyone else to think of the long game when making these significant purchases as well. Bob's really didn't back anything up from the initial assurances and guarantees made to me and now I'm simply terrified if anything more significant goes wrong with anything I've purchased from them.
