I cannot tell you how many different companies I contacted looking to get bids. Luckily I was able to get several. Not only was Miracle Contracting's bid competitively priced, everyone I met was also very professional (the big winner for me)! I have learned that the best option is not always the cheapest price. They got the job done as scheduled, communicated with me leading up the scheduled date and offered advice. Rob asked for a down payment on my flooring job last week. Cashed the check and never came to do…read moreany of the work the next day as promised. He texted 2x that day, once informing me that he was running behind and could come later that same day if that was alright. I agreed. When that time came, he texted again about a water main breaking somewhere and asked to come the next day at the same time. He also mentioned that his phone was shutting off and that if I called or texted and didn't reach him, he would get back with me as soon as possible (this too is probably part of his scam). I agreed and later that night I texted him to confirm his time of arrival that following day. He never responded. It appears that he has blocked my number and won't return even my text messages. There were some red flags (like wanting the check made out to him personally and not the name of his business). He claimed there were issues with the bank and his business account was closed. I had the supplies we needed here, but Rob stated I would need a few more things. When I disagreed, he pushed stating that he could return what we didn't use. Three of his four references that I asked for are business numbers in other states. Only one was local to my area. The BBB notes that his business was just opened in November of 2021. I was willing to give him a chance since he is a veteran and appears to have had some past life challenges. There were minimal reviews under his business name, but his full name, Robert Liese, III, brings up more information on this person. It seems he scammed individuals in Florida as well. Sad that someone would do this when he has been helped out by others here in town. His FB website states in part, "..... When you hire me fir your home improvement needs your not just a customer. Your family. Unlike mist contractors who put that money before the customer, I take great pride in making my customers feel special and making damn sure that my customers are my number 1 concern". If only he operated this way. Perhaps at some point he will get back on the right path and do the honorable thing, return the money or do the jobs he was hired to do in the first place.
