The kids area has a great selection of books that both my kids age 7 and 10 enjoy. My biggest complaint is the noise level in the kids area is so loud! My youngest daughter actually has asked to leave multiple times because of the noise level preventing her to be able to concentrate and read. I do wish that a staff member would be more diligent.

This is a nice, little, two-story library we regularly visit with our kiddo that is bright with…read morenatural light. It has seating nooks & a life-sized fake tree in the kids section that adds whimsy. STEAM bins can be checked out for in-library use. They also have sensory kits, adventure packs, & storytime kits available. An arts & crafts table offers changing simple activities like coloring. Though some of the seating is worn, the space always seems tidy. Staff at the front desk are welcoming, friendly, approachable, & helpful. The DIY check out & return systems are convenient & user friendly. There is a section of books & media for purchase. It's located at Mahany Park, next door to the Utility Exploration Center, which expands a nice family experience. There's plenty of parking for everyone using all the other parks & recreation facilities in the complex as well.

The designated "study" rooms upstairs are often used for group classes and the "quiet areas" upstairs would still have periods of lengthy conversation.

The library is absolutely gorgeous and is a historic building that has a large green lawn out front and a parking lot out back. It's deceptively large and very welcoming. I love our local library. over the years funding, hours, and inventory have gone up/down. But…read morethrough thick and thin, and now even covid, the library remains open and brings needed services to its constituents. Its easy online now to look up a book and put a hold on a title you are looking for from any library in the system. They also have several computers available for the public to use on a limited basis (so that everyone has a chance to use them). consider donating books or money to help them out.

Visited September 18th in Oroville…read more This is my first time here and I needed a quiet place to do some paperwork. I noticed they had several computers as well as printers to use. They have a children's room towards the back and the place was clean except for the ladies bathroom that wreaked of Marijuana! I liked that they had a security guard on duty as there is times when I have drove by and saw some homeless people hanging outside. The staff was helpful and polite. They had alot of books to choose from and some people were even playing chess! Plenty of quiet areas to sit and do your homework or read a book! Plenty of parking and I got my paperwork done without distractions!

Adj: Impressively Nice…read more This is one of the SPL library branches that I've never been to. I'm not sure why I've never gone inside considering I've driven past or been nearby at other places in this neighborhood dozens of times. I was surprisingly blown away when I walked in. It's really big and the windows close to the ceiling bring in a lot of natural light as if they're skylights. There's a lot of books here!. Rows and rows of book stacks in every category for both adults, children, and teens. One special feature that I've not seen anywhere else is the children's section that's almost its own room, it's totally sectioned off and really nice and cozy with lots of colorful seating in all kinds of shapes. It seems safer to have that special area for little ones. The rest of the children's section is big with lots of books. There's also a teens room, and many computers throughout the library. Several quiet study rooms are available to be reserved too and on the day I visited 2 of them were occupied so these rooms are definitely popular and useful. On the outside of the library but within the library building itself, there's a big Friends of the Library store that's a room unto itself so that's pretty special. Overall, this is an impressive and well kept library that is nicely designed and thoughtfully laid out for very effective and efficient use of the space.

It is open and spacious which is nice for browsing. I went here to get my Kings library card and I was participating in summer reading. I do suggest that you check out your local libraries because they have so much to offer. The learning is limitless and the kindness from the staff is memorable. I highly recommend you check out this library especially if you are in the North Natomas area.
