Looks like there hasn't been a review in a while so I thought I'd offer a recommendation. We stopped in passing through town and the owner was literally the nicest I've met in any comic book store. Very informative about current runs on issues and makes you feel very welcome. This is the kind of comic store we need more of - the kind you're not scared to take a kid into. I was a customer since Pat Robinson first opened in the mid 1970's. At one point I was on a pull list and spending $100 plus a week with him. But after has continued screw-ups that were always someone else's fault, and he's argumentative attitude, I went to him and said, Pat, I come to you because you are local and I've been coming here since 1977, and I don't mind spending more to give back to my community and I thought freind. I told him that I could buy from Midtown Comics in NY, have them pull my comics and get free shipping if I did the once a month shipping, with no taxes, and save 10% to 35% off a comic. Mind you I'm spending $250 to over $400+ a month with him at this time. He looked at me and said " You would be a fool not to buy from them"! I was dumbfounded!! But one thing I'm not is a fool especially when you show me how much you appreciate my business! So I started using Midtown for all my comic needs. Also he's a very smug person that's always complaining about something. And he's the type person that always has the right answer, and theirs no grey area or that he could be wrong. This store offers the best of both worlds. If you are an extreme college football fan or comic book collector, this is your place! He has all sorts of memorabilia for all your favorite teams. And just when you think his memorabilia is impressive *BAM* your mind explodes from seeing his comic book collection. Haha seriously though, if you are looking for a comic book I would be surprised if he didn't have it. He is also currently remodeling--getting rid of his paperbacks and replacing the shelf space with even more comics. This place is a treasure trove. It not only is the only comic book store local to the area it also has a tremendous college football/athletics store as well located inside. The range of college memorabilia and colleges represented is extensive. The customer service is the definition of excellence. Pat will bend over backwards helping you find a comic or graphic novel and if he does not have an item he can order it for you. The comics are well kept, he also has extensive graphic novels and t shirts as well. If you have any interest in comics or college sports then this is the one stop store you absolutely have to check out for yourself. read more

Only place to get comics around here that I know of. Great selections but if you're looking for real valuable/ CGC graded comics, statues or anything of that sort, you won't find it here. Plus, place needs to be more organized. Those are the reasons for the four stars, well, 4.75 stars. Other than that, great place. Small collection of older comics but the store carries mostly modern age and other companies like, Dynamite comics. You can also have a subscription there. The Place is OK i go there all the time but, the prices are not very good and there is only 1 person who works there and he is not the nicest If you are on his good side he is pretty cool but when he does not recognize you he is not. read more
