Was looking for a snack for my little guy. This place is located at a plaza at Bristol and Hurontario. I wanted to grab some empanadas and a cup of coffee. Service: well what can i say. The first server behind the cash was quite helpful. Taking the time to explain what certain items are. I asked for 2 chicken empanadas, 2 beef and 2 cheese what looked flautas but they weren't. So the operative word was "1st" server was good. However another one took over. She was not friendly. Quite rude actually. She took over the cash. I asked initially for drip coffee but changed my mind to a cappuccino. There's a huge industrial espresso machine right behind the cash. The first girl was about to make my cappuccino and the 2nd server said, there's no espresso or cappuccino. She didn't provide reasoning. Just no. The 1st girl was actually pretty confused herself. I personally thought she just didn't want me there. It was very odd. So i said sure just a drip coffee. I asked for a little sugar. I ended with cream a sugar in it. It was disappointing. Anyway, i paidand she gave me my receipt with not so much a thank you or anything. Really odd service. Food: well, the chicken empanada was interesting with chunks of chicken. The beef not so much. It was mostly potatoes with some minced meat. The cheese "flautas" were pretty boring. So anyway, thats about it. Last time i go there. Food:

Better snacks than any other of the Colombian bakeries that I've been to in the city! This place near Hurontario/Bristol features bread, pastries (lotsa things that look like strudels), flan, deep fried snacks like empanadas, chicharron (deep fried pork belly), & of course, Colombian coffee! The lady who served me wasn't that fluent in English, but she got a younger man to help explain the things in the glass case. I tried 2 things, a beef/potato empanada (delish - mostly potato thou) and another deep fried, half moon shaped thing with chicken. Both were delicioso! Empanada was $1 and based on the corn shell, I can tell they were made fresh as was the chicken thing (~$2). I also got a flan (egg custard) that I haven't dug into yet, but it was like $2.75 for a nice sized piece. The next time you are in the area, do yourself a favour and completely forgo McD's, and get something ethnic and authentic here instead!

    It's open!

Really like their cappuccino and service. Haven't eaten anything here recently. Received excellent…read moreservice from the baristas on the couple of occasions I've been for coffee. You order at the counter, sit down and get served. It's a cafeteria style with quite a bit of seating. Gets incredibly busy during lunch hours.

I brought my parents here so that they could get out of the apartment. It was also my first visit…read morebased on a friend's recommendation. We sat down at one of eight tables before I went up to the counter to place our order. The cashier began entering the order into the cash register beginning with the drinks, followed by the desert selections.... Big mistake! I should have asked my parents to look over the pastry displays and select what they wanted first, before ordering. Embarrassingly, after about 3 long minutes of them walking back & forth viewing each of the pastry displays, the cashier received our picks and then she was able to finalized the payment. Fresh desserts for a reasonable price. (btw, there is no special discount if you order large quantities of an item). The coffee brew was strong the way I like it, but way too strong for my parents. I had to ask our server to dilute it by adding 50% more hot water to their cups. Friendly service. No Wi-Fi. I will definitely come back to pick up other desserts and try their hot sandwiches.
