They do need more stock on the shelves, and there have been several items on my list that they were out; however, everyone is short staffed and I doubt it is any different for Walmart at the moment. I do want to note that I was almost sold 1 tire to replace the current one because the nail was too close to the sidewall when they could have given me a safer ride and up sold the deal by recommending 2 tires. I was buying them for my wife's Jeep which she takes the babies in. I ended up buying a matching set, but I was a little confused on why you would only want to replace 1 tire on the back of a car, and a set that is fairly worn out too. Eh, to each his own I guess!

And then there's my mom, who's completely new to the world of online grocery ordering, and she's totally hooked (which I find amusing). Of course, with the pandemic, we're all trying to limit the amount of exposure we have to other people and even other places. This makes the grocery pickup option really effective right now... more than ever. This location is the one we've been using to get our groceries recently, as we've been staying near the lake during the quarantine for even better isolation. They do as good a job here as they would in other Walmart locations. At first I was worried it might not be as effective in a smaller town, maybe because they'd have less workers available/ on hand, or possibly have less product than somewhere like Tulsa, but none of that has been true so far. I'd say we've put in and picked up grocery orders 2 or 3 times now within the last few weeks and haven't had anything go wrong yet (knock on wood). Sure, a few items become out of stock from the time you place your order to when someone is shopping for your order, but you are always notified if something from your order has to be removed or more likely substituted for something similar. I don't necessarily see this as anything wrong with this particular location, or the pick up service in general, just something that happens when you go shopping regardless. It's possible that some items are more out of stock than normal, but it's hard to say. I think one thing people get nervous about when it comes to ordering groceries online is having someone else pick out your food, primarily when it comes to things like fresh fruit, veggies, meat, and even dairy. So far, they've done a good job with this as well. We haven't gotten anything expired or not of a good quality yet! No bruised apples, no bananas that are too ripe, or yogurt that will expire in two days. I'd definitely recommend this feature, especially now, so that we can all stay safe and help do our part to stop the spread as best we can. I might even continue shopping this way even after all of this is over... now that I've gotten back into online groceries I'm reminded how simple it is!

Unfortunately I had Chemotherapy yesterday so we didn't get there until almost 8pm and when we asked this very nice lady Laura about the Deli she said it closed at 7pm. So we still found almost everything we needed and out of know where Laura finds us at the front and tells us she could help us at the Deli and she did. This kind of Customer Service is kind of rare these days but not at Dillon's. Before I became I'll I worked in retail and can recognize true devoted, dedicated employees and Laura is one of them. I've been confused about this business since news of the grocery store closing a few years ago. If you just drive by on Frontenac's main drag, it looks like the business is still closed. But on the west side of the building is the new entrance. It seems they just blocked off the front part of the store to save on utilities. The heart of the business is the meat counter, for which Pallucca's was always famous. You'll still find Pallucca's famous sausage. I was pleased to find the three types of italian cold cuts that I use to make muffalettas - which I'd previously only found at Tulsa's Fresh Market. There are lots of italian specialties, including several varieties of ravioli and homemade spaghetti sauce. They also carry the famed Frontenac Bakery bread. Also in in the meat counter are ready-made deli sandwiches (featuring fresh artisan bread) and salads. We really liked the cuban sandwich, which was big enough for two people. They grilled it in a panini press, which made it better than imagined. There are tables for dining in, and there and bottled soft drinks. Lunch specials are offered from 11 - 1 Monday thru Friday. Normal hours are 9-6 Monday thru Saturday, closed Sunday.
