My family and I will never step foot into this DG ever again. My husband was spending about $30 a…read moreweek there on snacks for work and I suggested to him that he goes on Saturdays since there is a $5 off coupon on Saturdays if you spend over $25. The first time he did this, it appeared that the coupon did not work so I went back into the store to inquire about it. The first cashier had no idea how to handle this so he had a manager come talk to me. A "manager" (white male, don't know his name) told me that the system hasn't been working lately for that coupon. He said he's had a few others that day that also did not work. He was very nice and professional and issued me a $5 refund. He specifically told me that when the system accepts that coupon, we will see it reflect on our receipt in the form of the receipt saying "coupon" and specifically indicating there is exactly $5 off. He also specifically told me that the "store discounts" on the receipts have nothing to do with the Saturday $5 off coupon. He said that those are just regular discounts due to store sales, etc. Fast forward to the next Saturday. My husband went back in there to do his weekly shopping and yet again it did not appear that the $5 off worked. Per the "manager" the week before, there was no coupon indicated on the receipt and there was no verbiage about a specific $5 off on the receipt either. When my husband asked the cashier (the cashier who is on "work release") about this, she was very unprofessional, demeaning, and insinuated that we were trying to pull some sort of scam for $5 bucks. She actually called the COPS! The situation escalated to a point where it didn't need to. There are so many better ways she could have handled the situation, including taking my husband's name and number and having a manager contact him later (apparently there was no manager there that day). I contacted the store a couple days later to place a complaint about the situation, and spoke to a woman identifying herself as the manager. She acknowledged that we were misinformed by the other "manager" who issued me the refund the week before. Had her employees been properly trained, especially her other manager, this entire situation would have been avoided. It was due to his misinformation that caused this entire situation. She also acknowledged that the situation by the cashier was not handled in the best way. Despite her apology, we will not be going back. We will be purchasing all of these same items from Sam's Club. Not only is it cheaper, but it gets delivered for free with our membership and we don't have to deal with a cluttered store, long lines, and disrespecful employees who aren't trained properly and giving customers conflicting information.

I have been to a lot of Walmart's stores, this one seems about the same as most. It is relatively…read moreclean and the staff is friendly and I would even say they are kind. They do need more stock on the shelves, and there have been several items on my list that they were out; however, everyone is short staffed and I doubt it is any different for Walmart at the moment. I do want to note that I was almost sold 1 tire to replace the current one because the nail was too close to the sidewall when they could have given me a safer ride and up sold the deal by recommending 2 tires. I was buying them for my wife's Jeep which she takes the babies in. I ended up buying a matching set, but I was a little confused on why you would only want to replace 1 tire on the back of a car, and a set that is fairly worn out too. Eh, to each his own I guess!

So I'm not a complete stranger to picking up groceries (or having them delivered to me), but I've…read moredefinitely been using this feature more recently than I had been for a while. And then there's my mom, who's completely new to the world of online grocery ordering, and she's totally hooked (which I find amusing). Of course, with the pandemic, we're all trying to limit the amount of exposure we have to other people and even other places. This makes the grocery pickup option really effective right now... more than ever. This location is the one we've been using to get our groceries recently, as we've been staying near the lake during the quarantine for even better isolation. They do as good a job here as they would in other Walmart locations. At first I was worried it might not be as effective in a smaller town, maybe because they'd have less workers available/ on hand, or possibly have less product than somewhere like Tulsa, but none of that has been true so far. I'd say we've put in and picked up grocery orders 2 or 3 times now within the last few weeks and haven't had anything go wrong yet (knock on wood). Sure, a few items become out of stock from the time you place your order to when someone is shopping for your order, but you are always notified if something from your order has to be removed or more likely substituted for something similar. I don't necessarily see this as anything wrong with this particular location, or the pick up service in general, just something that happens when you go shopping regardless. It's possible that some items are more out of stock than normal, but it's hard to say. I think one thing people get nervous about when it comes to ordering groceries online is having someone else pick out your food, primarily when it comes to things like fresh fruit, veggies, meat, and even dairy. So far, they've done a good job with this as well. We haven't gotten anything expired or not of a good quality yet! No bruised apples, no bananas that are too ripe, or yogurt that will expire in two days. I'd definitely recommend this feature, especially now, so that we can all stay safe and help do our part to stop the spread as best we can. I might even continue shopping this way even after all of this is over... now that I've gotten back into online groceries I'm reminded how simple it is!
