Obviously your feelings will vary depending on what you're looking for. If your grandma collected it, you'll find it here in enormous quantities. Precious Moments, knickknacks, collector plates, SO MANY toys etc. Prices are set by the dealer so some things are reasonable and some are not. Put yourself in the mindset of visiting a rummage sale the size of an airplane hangar and you'll be spot on. Staff wasn't especially pleasant. Holy cow this place is huge. We made the mistake of arriving at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon, thinking we had plenty of time to get through it all. We were so wrong. I had been here many times in my youth but recently made the pilgrimage back here looking for something very particular. It is easy to be overwhelmed by all there is to look at. Primitives, sports collectibles, glassware galore, furniture and wall hanging too numerous to count are just some of the items to grab your attention. Pricing is in line with similar malls I've been too, but to their credit, they also have a customer appreciation week once a month to get extra %'s off, so be prepared for that. By the way, check their hours, they close at 4pm. Bring a snack and plenty of time. read more

My stop here was a major let down! Talk about false advertising, this is not antique mall rather it is a flea market of endless junk, much of which belongs in a trash dumpster. Been shopping there for several years. Since I am a dealer, they even have my tax # on file. I was there today and was gonna purchase around $150 worth of items when they told me they no longer accept checks. I' ve been shopping in antique malls from Iowa to.Maine and this is the first mall I've not been able to write a check. I do shows all over and always accept checks. Let me start out. I've been going here once a month for the 20% off sale for like 4-5 months straight. The mall is that diverse and the vendors change stuff out so often you can come in, and find new stuff monthly! There's a very large parking lot, if you get there early you can park near the front. But if you have to park further away, don't worry! They have carts to bring your finds to the car! When you first come in there's a sign telling you what the feature of the month is, and any deals. Which is nice. And this is a mall that keeps track of the vendors discounts. So you don't have to keep track of the vendor/% and tell them at check out like some. Then there's a little snack area with soda/coffee/snacks. It's a surrounded but antique vendor cases. Little tables for seating. They know people usually make a day out of coming to this mall! All the floors have baskets, at the beginning of every room, and the baskets have little fabric pieces to keep glass pieces safe. (Which is my main collection atm) If you get a cart, they have an elevator, you just have to have one of the nice people working the store operate it for you. The bathrooms have stalls, and there's 3. One at the front and two at the back end near the stairs. Complete opposite end. For when you've made it to the other side of the mall in 2 hours. Ha. Also, the people who pack up, they wrap your pieces up beautifully. It's like getting another present when you get it home. They make sure everything's safe for travel. Great stuff, worst customer service I've experience in quite some time (with the exception of Jen and Terry). Their ATM ran out of cash, after I was assured it was full. They reluctantly held the items I couldn't pay for (because their ATM had no cash in it.........). I ended up having to go to a gas station ATM the following day and then back to the antique store for my abandoned items (since they were getting ready to close and wouldn't wait for me to get back with cash, this became a two day project) I spent $2,200 here and was treated like a second class citizen. If you've ever bought anything here from the vintage Star Wars toys dealer, INSPECT YOUR ITEMS FOR REPRO. ("Repro" means reproductions/fakes.) Repro is sold here to unsuspecting buyers and gets passed off as authentic at hefty prices. I alerted the seller of the "mistakes" but he felt no need to resolve the problem. Why resolve the issue when you can shield yourself behind the mall's "all sales final" policy? I understand there's always a risk buying at antique stores, but it's called FRAUD when the seller is KNOWLEDGEABLE AND EXPERIENCED in the field in which he sells. I reluctantly wrote this review at the advice of other Star Wars collectors who have a right to know when a seller's ethics come into question. I'm not advising anyone to avoid this mall! This place was kind of overwhelming, the rooms are laid out so you don't really remember what you have been in, there is no order to it and unless you've been here before most likely will get lost. 2nd floor is very easy to navigate. There is so much glass at most vendor booths I started to just walk past them because some had nothing but glass. My daughter got a bunch of jewelry (she LOVES vintage/antique jewelry) I am a toy collector but not a lot I was looking for (I know things change from Day to day so my rating is not based upon this) and my husband looks at everything. This place is always a delight to go to, but make sure you've prepared yourself and have enough time (or are looking for very specific things.) It's HUGE. No, *really.* There are three floors, spanning at least tens of thousands of square feet, featuring items from hundreds of different sellers. Era, quality, and prices of items run the gamut, which is half the fun. I can find a nice Art Deco dresser fifty feet from mid-century lamps next to a booth of depression-era glassware Star Trek action figures in the booth next door. They're only closed two days out of the year, run monthly 10% off category sales, and have additional "customer appreciation days" the first few days of each month that give you an additional 10% off the sale prices. Antique mall? Yes. Museum? Not so much. This is probably the biggest antique stop I've been to in Wisconsin. There's a wide range of quality and prices from true collectables to kitschy finds (still thinking about the Lake Placid Olympics bag I happened across) to dusty junk. There's definitely more good than bad, and if you have time to patiently peruse room after room on floor after floor, you might just find a few gems. I fell in love with a swirly pink depression glass plate pattern but unfortunately couldn't find any that met at the intersection of appropriately priced and not completely scratched up. I did find a three-piece toy set with labels implying the entire set was $1. When I went to check out, though, the cashier claimed I didn't have the right pieces (despite them being the only three of their kind) and told me two were $3 each and just the one was a dollar. I pointed out the tags that labeled them as 1 of 3, 2 of 3, and 3 of 3 and that there were no other matching items that could have gone with the set. She disagreed, but offered to go look with me. On one hand I understand, it's not her item to sell/make deals/etc., but on the other hand it seemed a little like I was being overcharged. I declined to purchase the items (almost $10 was too much for dusty toys that may or may not be worth anything). The mall recently experienced flooding, so the bottom floor is quite musty and allergen-heavy. Folks were in cleaning up their units, though, so hopefully that will abate quickly. Regardless of the level, though, watch your step - uneven floors and sagging boards are rampant throughout the building. Toward the end of our visit we made it upstairs to the museum area - it's almost impossible to distinguish from the sales displays, but you'll find a lot of Christopher Columbus-themed items, including some tenuously-related Space Shuttle Columbia artifacts from its earlier missions. All in all worth a visit if you need to kill a morning or afternoon and you're in the area, but maybe not worth a special trip from outside the greater Madison area. read more

This was a hidden gem we found while on a roadtrip and we are so glad we stopped. Come with ample time as we spent almost 4 hours wandering the endless rooms of treasures. With hundreds of booths, there is bound to be something for everyone. PROS: Free coffee, cheap simple snacks and relatively wheelchair accessible. There is also an elevator for those needing to get to the upper floors. I really appreciated all large furniture pieces were on the 3rd floor and not taking away from the many small treasures in the regular booths. CONS: Cash or check only. They do have an ATM on site but had they accepted credit, we likely would have bought a lot more. This definitely wasn't reason enough to dock them a star, this place is awesome. read more

Where else can you buy a stale bag of M+M's and a Rambo Lunchbox? This place is great for passing away a rainy weekend day. The mall is huge. 3 floors of old, tired items for your viewing pleasure. Nothing is really a good deal. It's like an overpriced garage sale. If you do find some true antiques, the sellers know the item's worth. With that aside, it is truly a fun place to visit. The inventory never seems to change, but there is so much of it, that each trip is a new experience. Don't forget the Christopher Columbus Museum. Well, maybe you should. it's about as exciting as a week long life insurance seminar. Save the 2 dollar admission charge for a flat soda and a year old bag of chips at the first floor concession stand. Actually if the dude is out front selling popcorn....hit him up. I feel it's my duty to warn you all that this is not a real antique mall. It's an enormous collection of garage sale rejections. I took a day trip here with my parents because the lure of 78,000 sq ft was too strong. So was it worth it? Let's put it this way, my mom (who has antiqued across the country for over 25 years) proclaimed it was the WORST excuse for an antique mall she had ever seen! All of the 444 booths looked as if they were all owned by the same person. I could count on both hands the number of items I saw that were actual antiques (with the exception of their glassware, which was extensive). It was a sea of glassware, nascar junk, more glassware, a lone vintage clothing booth that was nothing but 90s Liz Claiborne, more glassware, hot wheels, a hefty amount of completely empty booths, more glassware, and a sparse upstairs with furniture that didn't look old at all (it looked like reproduction colonial! WTF?!). In all 444 booths I only saw about 3 mid century items, zero Art Deco items, only 2 pieces of actual vintage clothing, and the only 40s/50s items were the aforementioned glassware. GARBAGE. And they have the audacity to charge high. My parents don't get to visit me very often and I was furious that we wasted a day of their stay at this horrible place. read more

My son and I took a day trip to Columbus WI to meet up with friends. The museum and antique mall was our first stop. The museum was disappointing. I was hoping to find a super cool and educational museum to learn about CC, it was disappointing, most of the artifacts were for sale and I am guessing will not be there long. Not what I had hoped to find. The antique mall, on the other hand, was very large - very large, that made for more fun than the museum. There was room after room of great antiques and collectables. Affordable and nice. I could have spent the day there and still not seen all there was to see. I would go back to to the mall, I probably will this summer...without a child! :) read more

So I read the reviews and the purest say it's not an antique mall or that it is a lot of junk. Well, I will agree that it is not filled with overprices true antiques that you would find on the Antique Roadshow. I will say that it is large and has a lot of very interesting stuff at very reasonable prices. It is not at the level of a flea market or garage sale, although of course that are a few booths that would qualify as such. I like it because I find lots of unique items that are 2nd hand, but not worn out. I found a Bing Crosby "White Christmas" 45 record and used it as a Christmas decoration. I have found great prices on hardcover books. I have found turtle and squirrel figurines for friends. And I have found a peaceful atmosphere with lots to look at. My recommendation is to give it a shot with the proper expectations. read more

This mall claims to be the biggest in WI. It may well be, but it's not the best in WI. That being said, I still like to visit. It's HUGE. Every stall isn't great, but many are. My latest visit was just before Christmas and some of the better curated stalls had lovely displays of vintage ornaments and tinsel trees, etc. The 3rd floor is all furniture and treasures can definitely be found. Although this place is quite large, it's full of not-up-to-par stuff. Mostly collectibles and a lot of junk. I've had much better luck at Goodwill. Most vendors are insane for what they're asking. The floors are extremely uneven (I wouldn't suggest it for anyone who may have trouble walking or balance issues). Bathrooms are gross. If you really like digging, this may be the place for you. PROS: Large, well lighted building, nice assortment of Breyer horses, good selection of smaller antiques in locked cabinets, large variety of antiques but in small doses. Lots of glass, Pyrex, Fireking and drinking glasses and some older clothing. Ample parking. Friendly staff. CONS: Should not be billed as an antique mall, should be advertised as a giant Goodwill. Booths have mostly new and used stuff like a thrift store would have. Will have to hunt and peck in the booths to find older, antique stuff. Many tripping hazards, watch your step, old rumpled carpets strewn on floors, 2-3" ledges in floor are marked with aging yellow paint. Open panels of non-running HVAC equipment could be a hazard for kids. Building smells bad in a few places, musty, mildewy and bad plumbing odors. read more

The mall is very clean and the staff very customer friendly. Hugh selection on three massive floors. To see the whole thing takes about 3-4 hours easily and worth it. Has something for everyone. I found some real treasures here. Only made it through the first floor before we had to leave. It is huge! Worth the trip.

TL;DR -- it can be a little overwhelming, but the prices are fair and if you've got a couple hours you can find some real gems. My sister and her husband are big fans of this place, and she finally showed it to me in person on a recent trip back home. I walked away with so many things that i had to borrow a suitcase from her to bring it all back with me on the plane. There's some rough organization (i.e. furniture is all on one floor) but mostly it's organized by seller so it's kind of a hodge podge. It's also massive -- we were there for about two hours. The prices are higher than St. Vinny's but lower than most antique specialty stores, and i generally found them to be reasonable. One thing to note is that they have special deals each day of the week, so you might want to plan your trip based on that. Overall I thought it was great -- I snagged two blankets, two sets of glasses, and a lamp, when i wasnt planning on buying anything -- and the women who run it were super friendly and helpful. I'm giving this place 5 stars because: 1) I'm definitely going to go back...multiple times 2) I can actually afford to buy stuff here...even NICE stuff, like furniture that other places try to sell for twice the price, *ahem "Antique Shoppes of Columbus" cough* 3) It's Brobdingnagian 4) Any antique store that literally makes me feel like my head and eyes are going to explode after spending hours inside is exactly what addicts like myself are looking for 5) I got to use the word Brobdingnagian I went to some other antique mall in Columbus (see comment above) whose prices were preposterous. I just can't justify spending $500 on a miniature dresser or $150 for a plant stand that will hold ONE plant. One! I complained the whole time about their prices and found it a little insulting at how high they were. I digress. Anyways, I figured out I was at the wrong store and NOT at the behemoth of all antique malls! So once I finally got to where we were supposed to be I started losing it a little. We went straight to the 3rd floor, which is three giant rooms filled with furniture...that you can afford. I think we spent a good hour up there. You'll definitely find some sleepers...I did but I didn't buy them. (Small apartment, refuse to become a hoarder at a young age, husband might also kill me). I tried to browse through the other two floors, and got caught by my husband who I was hoping wouldn't find me. He said HIS head was going to explode so he found his way out by following some old lady who knew where she was going. I proceeded to send several text message at different times, dizziness setting in, stating "shit, I'm lost." There are rooms upon rooms upon rooms people. Next time I might bring the GPS we bought for hiking. Or a map. Or Skittles to mark a trail of where I've been. Things start to look the same after awhile. I have never seen so much glassware in one place. Well, somehow I made it out of there with only one item, while willing my body not to collapse. Love walking around and looking. Not so many antiques, but alot of collectables. You can spend hours here. Several rooms full. Lots of dishes, glasses, jewelry, knick knacks, toys, dolls, clothes, tools, books, sporting goods, etc. And the third floor is all furniture. If your lucky a train will go by. We were in there 9/29/19 and found a vintage plastic large Christmas Candy Cane display for sale. We took it to the counter and were told to put it on a cart as we would then continue shopping and pay when we were done shopping. An hour later it was gone and the lady that directed us to put it in the cart had sold it to someone else. Totally inexcusable- this should never happen from the store or the other purchaser.
