I recall Gabriel Garcia, the owner giving me a quote that was quite high. He followed his high bid by saying "I could do something for less but you would not be very satisfied"...I can't imagine a system that would be worse. I had hired FLI to redo an irrigation system for a terraced backyard. I had 3 different systems that serviced a grassy yard, a garden area, and a terrace. Each system had it's own timer. When I was done I had black 1'irrigation pipe zigzagging overground, with sparse drip emitters (many of my established shrubs died due to the heat of the summer). My garden beds, grass and terraced shrubs were now only on one system (so I was over-watering or underwatering one or the other section). To boot where my grass was dug up, it was left unlevel, unseeded, and dirt was all over my walkways and patio. I really should have known better when my renters called me to tell me the service man backed into my mailbox and knock down my front natural retaining wall. He didn't acknowledge or fix it until I physically approached him about it, then did a quick and dirty job with concrete and mortar (which didn't match and still sticks out).

Harley at Design Prodigy is the perfect combination of honesty, integrity, talent, and knowledge…read moreall delivered with tremendous kindness, and respect. He is upfront about budget and costs and keeps you updated every step of the way so there are no unpleasant surprises. What puts Harley's company in a league of its own, is his team. These are not subcontractors with tons of other jobs all happening simultaneously. He hand picked these workers, who are masters in their fields. What this means is, that team showed up early every morning. They worked hard and wasted no time. They are experts at what they do and they take pride in the job they perform. Harley treats your job like he is working on his own house. This comes across very clearly in every decision and choice he makes to select materials, plants, products, etc. He also consulted me before every design decision was made, from the the height of the step leading to the backyard, to the exact color of the cement, to the exact placement of the plants before the digging took place. Another designer may have gone ahead and planted the plants per the architectural design, but Harley has this innate understanding that people change their minds when they see things actually laid out, or after they have time to think about the project as it it progressing. It is this insightful understanding about human nature, that greatly reduces stress during the project as you come to trust and appreciate these rare qualities that you don't find in most people. I am so pleased with the work Design Prodigy did in the backyard.

We also had a backyard with a 40 degree slope and was difficult to access and navigate. Both owners Malika & Alex came out and listened to our concerns and shared their vision on how to transform our side yard and backyard slope into something that addressed all our concerns. They even provided one the spot renderings so we could envision what the final outcome would be. I can't begin to explain how they turned our project into something that is showcase quality. Their attention to detail and professionalism is of the highest standards. The crew were respectful of property, genuinely professional and they completed our project in record time. I think this company from the top, down to the crew are hands down the best company in the area.

There are still good people in this world, and Cody at Gorge Us Lawn Care LLC is one of them…read more After my father passed away last autumn, our family was left trying to manage things he had always taken care of himself... including all the yard work and equipment maintenance. None of us even knew how to get the lawn mower running, much less diagnose what was wrong with it. Cody stepped in without hesitation. Within about 10 minutes, he had the mower up and running again. When the belt later broke, he even offered to help us get a replacement that same night. That kind of kindness and willingness to help people is rare these days. What makes Cody especially valuable to this community is that he doesn't just do lawn care; he actively helps reduce fire danger by keeping properties maintained and under control. Anyone who lives in this area knows how important that is. He's done fantastic work for my parents in the past, and once again proved why he's someone you can trust. If you need lawn care, property cleanup, fire prevention maintenance, or just someone reliable who genuinely cares about helping people, I strongly recommend Gorge Us Lawn Care LLC.
