Harley at Design Prodigy is the perfect combination of honesty, integrity, talent, and knowledge all delivered with tremendous kindness, and respect. He is upfront about budget and costs and keeps you updated every step of the way so there are no unpleasant surprises. What puts Harley's company in a league of its own, is his team. These are not subcontractors with tons of other jobs all happening simultaneously. He hand picked these workers, who are masters in their fields. What this means is, that team showed up early every morning. They worked hard and wasted no time. They are experts at what they do and they take pride in the job they perform. Harley treats your job like he is working on his own house. This comes across very clearly in every decision and choice he makes to select materials, plants, products, etc. He also consulted me before every design decision was made, from the the height of the step leading to the backyard, to the exact color of the cement, to the exact placement of the plants before the digging took place. Another designer may have gone ahead and planted the plants per the architectural design, but Harley has this innate understanding that people change their minds when they see things actually laid out, or after they have time to think about the project as it it progressing. It is this insightful understanding about human nature, that greatly reduces stress during the project as you come to trust and appreciate these rare qualities that you don't find in most people. I am so pleased with the work Design Prodigy did in the backyard. read more

It was not the easiest design to do so we were happy we found Harley who made it very smooth for us. read more

Harley and his team were wonderful. They completed the job on schedule and on budget, and went above and beyond with the build. It was a fairly simple project - a block wall - but he and his team took care of all of our needs for a reasonable cost. They were professional, courteous, prompt, and always kept us abreast of what was going on. We plan on working with Harley and his team again, and would give him the highest recommendations to anyone considering a construction / design project. read more

Had Harley come out for a quote on a backyard remodel. He was extremely professional. Great communication throughout. He also had some great ideas. Very upfront about budget and costs. Highly recommended! read more

Harley is unique in the contractor world. He listens to you instead of interrupting you. He offers choices instead of saying things like "I'll get you something great, don't worry." He addresses issues immediately without question instead of arguing with you. He is professional, punctual, and unlike any contractor I've ever worked with. We did a 3 month massive outdoor remodel: filled in an old pool, removed 4000 sq ft of concrete, built an outdoor bar and grill area, built an outdoor fireplace, built several masonry retaining walls, built vegetable garden planters, replaced drainage system, relocated driveway, installed 4000 sq ft of paving stones, decorative boulders, synthetic turf, decomposed granite, drip irrigation and a few hundred new plants, outdoor lighting and a hot tub. Harley and I designed the project over several different consultations. His crew started work on time, were very clean, careful and professional the entire 3 month project. The project finished on time (even after adding additional work), on budget, and everything looks amazing. The quality of work is outstanding. Our dream backyard is complete! I cannot recommend Harley and his crew enough. Thanks to Harley and his crew, have our dream house. read more

We hired Harley and his team to re-do our back yard. He listened to our ideas and then turned them into detailed design plans that we were able to tweak until it was perfect. Then his crew came in and implemented the plans exactly as we asked. This was our first home improvement project, so we had lots of questions and even changed our minds a few times. Harley was always patient and worked with us to get it right. The price Harley quoted (and kept to) was lower than other companies that did not include the design aspect of the job. Thus, we feel we really got our money's worth by choosing Prodigy Design-Build. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Harley and the crew of Prodigy Design Build did a fantastic job re-landscaping our front and backyards. Harley was always quick and efficient returning emails. He really worked with us to redo our landscaping to fit our budget. The crew was super fast, efficient and punctual. They always cleaned up after themselves and never left a mess. I couldn't recommend Harley and Prodigy Design Build more. If you need landscaping and hardscaping done they are the ones to go to. read more

Harley is absolutely amazing!!! He built our entire yard (almost half acre) from scratch. A portion of our yard is in the pictures on Harley's profile (it's the one with the picture of the pool with a water slide through the decking and fountains in the pool). Harley also built a large pavillion, garden area, sport court, firepit and handled all the landscaping for us. Harley's knowledge of plants and trees is amazing. He is by far the best contractor we've ever worked with. Even a year or two after he finished our project, if there was ever an issue, he'd show up and take care of it (no questions asked). If you have a project that you want done right by someone who is professional, ethical and cares about his projects, look no further. read more

Harley and his team are fantastic! My husband and I interviewed several landscape companies prior to making a decision on Prodigy Design Build and initially we hired them to simply do a design. Our lot size was fairly large (almost 1/2 acre) and we were interested in a design that was drought tolerant, but not ugly (i.e. gravel and cactus). We found Harley to be creative and also easy to work with as we progressed through the design process. He followed through on his commitments and paid attention to details in the design and really listened to our input. Once we got to a final design, we were ready to proceed with the project. The project execution went as planned. There were no surprise costs that arose and the project was completed within the time frame estimated. We had family coming into town and the team even modified their schedule to do some extras to make things look nice for our visitors. We were very impressed by the professionalism of Prodigy and on top of that Harley and his team are just really nice people to work with. Definitely a 5 star company! read more

I can honestly say that Harley is the best, most professional contractor I have ever worked with. He spent a lot of time meeting with me and my wife, helping us design our new backyard. These guys know what they are doing. Once we approved our final plans, his team came in and got to work. They were all professional, great attitudes and efficient. They transformed our backyard in 4 weeks. Demo, new drainage, new concrete, bluestone, outdoor kitchen, irrigation, lighting, and planting. It was a true pleasure working with Prodigy Design. I would absolutely refer them to friends and family. i look forward to doing more projects with them in the future! Thank you Harley for helping us form the vision of our backyard and bringing it to life!! read more
