Perhaps, only if you're seeking the smallest game on a very short trip. Is there really such a thing ever as having TOO much? Perhaps, there is no such a thing if you're a "responsible" prepper or an avid enthusiast seeking to advance yourself to handle just about ANY situation thrown your way - including the apocalypse. I definitely do not believe there is such a thing as having too much. And I can bet on it that most of the people here today at Kittery Trading Post feel the same way. Yes, the prices are mostly MSRP and sometimes higher. Yes, you can most likely (99% of the time) get a better deal elsewhere (especially online). But where can you actually have the opportunity to TOUCH everything or be likely seduced to WANT more because you weren't aware that such an item even existed? Here, at KTP, that is exactly what happens. You think you have a particular item in mind? How about being thrown more options that most other stores even dream of carrying? Thought you liked something online? How about holding that item in person and deciding if it is the right fit for just a fraction more of the price (and avoid the need to make returns for the most part?) How about being swayed into another product because you "apparently" didn't research it enough to realize there are even BETTER options that fit your exact needs (or because it's more expensive and you can justify it in person, lol)? Kittery Trading Post is definitely one of my ultimate retail spots as an outdoor enthusiast and an avid prepper (for whatever possible events will ever unfold in my fantasies). And every time I'm here, I always leave with at least one new toy for the personal arsenal. Definitely love this place even if it's not exactly the best bang for the buck.

This store sells very long lasting shoes that are completely worth the price tag. The shop has old…read moreworld charm, with overstuffed arm chairs, and a beautiful wooden bench on which to sit and get feet measured. I have purchased at least three pairs of shoes that are sold here. I have no qualms about the quality of the products. The clearance rack near the front is a nice touch. In reading other reviews I have noticed a trend that spans a decade: questionable customer service. If I worked in a relatively small store in which ventilation turnover is minimal, I would wear a mask. I would not, however repeatedly inform customers that I felt at risk because it is a small store and you really don't know about the vaccination rate of customers. Every store I entered today faced the exact customer service health related quandary. In no other store did an employee tell me the ages and number of people at risk of COVID with whom they came into direct contact with on a regular basis. I have compassion for the stress of working in a customer contact job during a pandemic. All retail workers deserve hazard pay, but that conversation should be between employees and their bosses.

I went into this store twice last week within days. The second time (because i really wanted this specific brand) I went into the store the sales associate who "helped" me couldn't get the size of my shoes right- however i know my shoe size and she kept telling me I was wrong. Not to mention the pricing on the shoes is significantly increased from online sales/even the kittery trading post up the road. Do yourself a favor and don't go into this unhelpful useless shop in downtown portsmouth. just go to the kittery trading post, save yourself some cash and receive way service from better sales associates.

I have a confession to make: I am an adult woman, and I hate clothes shopping. I hate it. Whenever…read moreI go to department stores or big box stores or frankly 90% of stores that claim to sell women's clothing, I'm disappointed. I'm a big girl--not so much "wide" big (although I could stand to lose some weight), but Russian peasant "built like a brick shithouse" big. Hence, I've learned to associate clothes shopping with disappointment. Even if someone does have clothing in my size, even if we're talking the more expensive stores, most women's clothing is designed with a skinny 15-year-old girl with a delicate frame in mind. When they size that crap up, yeah, it fits me, but I come out of the dressing room looking like Scott Bakula in Quantum Leap, when he lands in the body of some poor schmuck with a pair of tits. Or worse--the designers know that particular frock's not going to cut a good shape on a girl who actually resembles the national average, so they add ruffles or pink leopard print or not-particularly-well-thought-out decorative buttons. Hazel Boutique quite literally changed my mindset about clothes shopping. Here's why: The styles are classically stylish AND they work for someone my age (late 20s). And the stuff they carry fits me, how I carry myself, and how I see myself. They have shirts with roomy shoulders that still remind folks that you're not a lumberjack. They have dresses that are roomy on the bottom and say "Hey, check out this girl's awesome childbearing hips!" rather than the usual "OMG, let's pretend these hips don't exist, and maybe we can pass for normal." The clothing is decorated in its construction more than with baubles added on to dazzle. And it's designed with an eye toward showcasing your figure rather than using you as a vehicle for whatever fashion trend some twit in NYC thinks is the latest and greatest. Yes, it's expensive. But I actually wear the nice clothes I get there. And I enjoy wearing them.

Just everything. From their wish lists, to their selection. Never really looking for anything…read moreand always find plenty. Terrific customer service makes it extra special.
