I urge you to read the other review that is posted on the Richland address for this office, i completely agree with the other post of the horrible service from the staff. I moved accross state a year ago and brought my youngest into see Dr Khurana, we had an issue with my youngest getting shots in her legs and Dr Khurana called me after the appointment. I was amazed at such a Doctor and thought, you know, even though the shots went horrible, it is real nice to find a doctor that takes time to call the parents.
I ignored the unfriendliness of the office staff, I didn't think much of their rude behavior because I felt connected to Dr Khurana and thought she would keep my children's best interests and feelings in mind.
Then today, I came in with my oldest to have a wart removed, it was normal, i walked in and filled out the new year paperwork for all of my kids and we were walked back to the room. the nurse brought in a urine cup and i asked what that was for and why my child needed to be tested when we are there for a wart (i think a normal question that i am sure has been asked before). My child said she didn't have to go to the bathroom and the nurse offered to bring in water, i said that would be great (i was going to let the test happen, i just wanted to know what the purpose of it was).
Next thing you know Dr Khurana comes bursting in saying that this was not a relationship that was good working. That my refusing to fill out paperwork and not work with the office was not a good working relationship. I, of course, am completly confused and told her i just wanted to know the reason of the urine sample. She continued to chew me out in front of my child... i looked over and saw my child go red and teary eyed!!! I agreed with Doctor Khurana and also explained that i have known 2 people that have worked for her office, that i would not refuse to fill out paperwork, i understand that paperwork is needed, i even have worked for orthopedic surgeons in the area and i am well aware that paperwork is needed. She then called in her receptionist (so i guess this is the person that says i do not want to fill out paperwork??? and now A DOCTOR IS YELLING at me because of this?). The receptionist said that i had said it was weird that i would need to fill out paperwork and that i wasn't used to how things work over here. For this, i have no clue how me stating "i do not understand how things work over here, it is weird to me" is some how a slam against the receptionist or refusing to fill out paperwork (i guess you have to come in to fill out paperwork before you make an appointment, so it was before the appointment, when i was scheduling that my asking about paperwork offended the receptionist?)
for whatever reason i have no clue but I have worked for respectable Doctors, i have family members that are doctors and i can assure you, NOT ONE OF THEM would have walked in a room with a child sitting there and have some sort of hormonal rage breakdown. It was one of the most confusing moments i have ever had and even my child said "Dr Miller never got mad when you would ask a question, she would just teach you why they did things" and my child was completely right!
I am going to Kadlec on Keene, when i called their office and asked if they could link previous paperwork, they completely understood and said they could. I asked the gal on the phone at Kadlec if that was offensive that i asked that and she assured me that they do it all of the time (i believe the linking paperwork question is what upset the Dr Khurana receptionist off?).
I have no idea what happened that day in their office but the complete unprofessional ism showed by the Doctor was a first for me and unfortunately for my 9 year old that had to sit there in the confusion not understanding why a doctor would be so mean. My child is excited to go to a place with "nicer doctors that teach" instead of ones that yell when you just want to understand a urine test (even though it sounded like it was a completely different issue she was mad at me about)
no excuse for being treated like that, NONE and especially in front of a 9 year old. I do expect a PHD holder to have a little manners towards me and good heavens, find out the facts before you start chewing out a parent in front of a child
Read the other review on the Richland Address, it certainly made me feel less "in the twilight zone" to find i was not the only one that has dealt with some emotional issues from the office staff. read more
