Sam runs a very clean, modern shop and really gives the client his undivided attention. Finding a new hair stylist you trust is a challenge. However, I felt very at ease that my hair was in good hands after talking with Sam. He has a very easy going, friendly personality and does a good job of giving advice without being pushy. I wanted to take off very little length and Sam did a great job. He was also really easy to talk to and made me laugh all throughout the session. I also appreciated that Sam did not try to push products or services onto me as that's a peeve of mine. I had the best experience getting my hair done at Sam's salon. He has created a peaceful oasis - plants, appropriate music, ice cold water, comfortable seating and a clutter-free, clean salon. I really appreciated two things which differentiate Sam from the other salons. 1) He didn't try to work in another client while my color was processing. If he did, I'm now confident he would be able to juggle this professionally, but I've had other experiences where it hasn't faired well. 2) It is not a salon full of 10 chairs with drama and chaos - it's just one chair (and an empty station). I asked Sam why he doesn't rent out the other station, and he said the benefit to him and his clients outweighs the extra income. I'm sure he will eventually rent it out, but I know he will wait to find the right person for the salon and his clients. Getting my hair done with Sam was such a refreshing experience. His easy-going personality, years of experience and professionalism made it a clear 5 star experience + my hair feels great! read more
