Every good business has a negative review. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I am not a past employee writing this review. I was a client from California that was not happy how this salon handle a dispute transaction situation. I was referred to this hairstylist back in October 2020. l've provided screenshots that he posted me on his social media websites. He was amazing at his job as I was very happy in the beginning as a paying customer until recent events. This salon deleted all the photos off their sites pretending I never went to them. He moved to Virginia. Here's my First Hand experience as a California client: I disputed a transaction after he rushed the hair services in a hour & half when it should have been 5 hours. It was doubled the price then before. The credit card company in the end sided with him & he got paid. Instead of handling the dispute in person, the hairstylist took things absolutely the wrong way. On July 10, 2024- (Posting from Virginia in California) -D.S. slander/harassed me & my mother on a social media group with my photo & personal information without consent. I did not sign a release of The Right of Publicity for them to take photos of me & post it on their social media sites.One of the co-owners (N.S.) from another salon he was part of also contributed & chimed with D.S. to this. They posted it as a warning to the community. This post was over a SMALL CREDIT CARD Dispute CHARGE which D.S. was paid fully. Due to this, I received numerous threats, harassments, and got bullied from random people. The hairstylists even got their other clients & their friends to join in & bully me. The hairstylist (D.S) was very unprofessional about this whole situation. He continued to harass me by making another post that became threatening on July 12 2024 - It was so horrific that the SLO County Sheriffs Department had to get involved. They called D.S. In Virginia numerous times but he has not returned their call. He even changed his phone number again to not face his legal troubles. D.S. was paid over $7000+ in hair services since 2020. In the end, this is how we got treated as clients over ONE small dispute charge. read more

Ummm ok, I'm not sure who needs to hear this but the Keratin treatment I got with Donnie CHANGED MY LIFE! I'm a mama of two and my hair is long and fine and I've dyed it forever. This little boy doesn't know how to do hair at all! I went there on a referral, he takes forever to respond and you can't call him to book an appointment. I asked him for a simple trim with some layers on my hair. He made my hair very uneven at the bottom, did not give me layers and I had to tell him three times to cut my bangs because he wouldn't listen to me. He kept the chair faced away from the mirror so you couldn't watch him work on your hair. He twisted my hair into little tiny ringlets, I'm 55 years old and that was not a good hairstyle. This was straight up ageism and he did not want me to come back to the salon. He hardly talked unless I tried to engage him in a conversation. He charged $70 and I gave him a $20 tip. I was in shock and just kind of in a daze when I paid for everything, he put a heavy oily greasy product in my hair and I had to shampoo my hair twice to get it all out. Do not use his salon! After I got home and had to shower, I tried contacting him and you can only do that by sending him a message either through Google or making an appointment from his website. I asked him to call me so that I can tell him I wanted my hair fixed giving him a chance to make it right and he never called me back. I also immediately went back and his Salon was already closed which he keeps closed unless he makes a hair appointment with someone. He made me feel horrible, This is not a good individual at all and he's in the business of making customers feel good which he failed at miserably. Donovan is super amazing and very patient during my haircut appointment. I came in to cut my hair for a donation, I mentioned the length requirement, and he used a measuring tape to help me make sure I met the minimum requirement, how lovely! And I have been struggling with some flaky scalp issue lately, Donovan is very knowledgeable on the hair products, and he suggested me a few that will be helpful for me in my situation, and I've been loving the products he has recommended!
