The selection of clothing was on point, I loved walking around the store and seeing the variety and thought put into every piece. In addition to clothing, the service was top notch. I'm not a huge fan of hands on service in stores, I kind of like to just do my own thing. However, I know many people appreciate the attention. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. I haven't been in CM for a few years and was happy to see a little French macaron bakery in there too. I love art, clothing and jewelry that are not too "mainstream" and the wonderful owner, Barbara travels the world off season to find amazing treasures. Several years ago someone asked where I got my sparkly sequin bracelet. I may have paid $10.00 for it at Number 5, but she ( A New Yorker) told me that she would probably pay $100.00 for it in SoHo. Please check this store out if you're looking for something unusual and a little bit hippy. Wonderful business and wonderful business owner!

The drums and instruments are not toys for the tourist, but real instruments. No "Souvenir Of" items. We are not tourists anyway, we are travelers, and Cape May is a busy port. I got an Indonesian shadow puppet that stands about 15". Handcarved and handpainted. The owner buys direct from the craftspeople. Location in this mini mall of Carpenter's Square is worthwhile also for the intoxicating coffee roaster, art shop, and Italian restaurant.
