The store had a cozy, welcoming vibe, with old western style decor. There is a wide variety of gifts, from jewelry made here in Colorado to a zero waste, eco-friendly product section where you bring in your own container for laundry detergent or dishwashing soap... You can tell that the products in the store were carefully selected. It's definitely one of the most unique gift shops I have been in. Masonville Mercantile opened in 1896. Currently, 2 families own and operate the gift shop. Overall, Masonville Mercantile is a quirky shop worth the stop. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful gift or unique keepsake.

But this afternoon I arrived at Whiteside's at 3pm (on a Saturday!) and they repaired the heels on my dress shoes, lickety-split, while I waited. My shoes look brand new. They have tons of local makers gifts here. You can get candles, skin care, etc. They also have ample amounts of clothing. Everything is super cute and a step above the rest. It seems like pretty good quality stuff for fast fashion. The pricepoint is kind of all over. They have a great sale rack. The clothing items can get a little pricey, but for the most part I would say most items are between $40-$70. I found an amazing felt flat brim hat. I had to buy it and a sweater. I wanna give a very special shout-out to Devo Mireles (Baseball/Softball Manager - 117898). Our daughters both just started competitive travel ball/club teams as opposed to just rec fastpitch softball. We went in looking for a bat that we could afford and that would be durable, and the perfect fit for each of our girl's swing styles. He introduced us to all the bats in stock and let us know that they do have a demo bat program to help with our budget for all the other gear we need! Competive level softball gear adds up quick! Devo took his time and made my girls feel confident in each bat they selected in a doable budget for us. Based on my description of needs, he helped me pick out two handfuls of bats for each girl to go try in the batting cage. He was so patient, and kind! He didn't just sell us bats, he gave my girls very valuable feedback on their batting stances, aim, and body mechanics while swinging. Because of Devo the girls were not nervous to keep trying the bats and didn't get bored with the process. He helped them each find different bats in the perfect sizes and weights for each of them! They also left with some free pointers that will be very helpful this season and educated us parent's, as well. Thank you Devo, you're the man to lead that department for sure.! We will be back to see you, I am sure of it. P.s: Give Devo a raise haha -Jess Case and Jason Case from cheyenne, Wy.
